Chapter 1594: Chapter 1594: Everything About Her
"Alright, I can let you into the villa to meet me. Wait there, and I’ll send someone to bring you in."
Jun Yiyi hung up the phone, dialed the internal line, and asked the butler to secretly bring the person in through the back door.
When the investigator came in, Jun Yiyi stood by the desk in the library, scrutinizing this tall Caucasian man. He was unremarkable in appearance, but his eyes were anything but ordinary. She had encountered some people like him at the institute, and there was a subtle mysteriousness about this man that puzzled her.
But she always felt there was something inexplicably strange about the whole affair, things happening day after day in a tightly interlinked manner, so abruptly, so intensively.
As if it were planned.
"Give me your ID," she ordered coldly, her voice clearly guarded.
The man lowered his eyes, pulled out his ID from the file bag he carried, and handed it to her.
Jun Yiyi picked it up and examined it carefully, looking at the stamp and serial number. Her expression changed, feeling a secret shock—it was indeed real, making her more convinced that her suspicions were correct. As expected, the person was killed by Brother Ling Kong, even the investigator from the bureau was onto him.
Her fingers dug into her palm as she felt a surge of distress.
Numerous thoughts flashed through her mind.
"Miss Jun, I advise you not to act rashly." The man’s vigilant eyes focused on Jun Yiyi’s hand in the desk drawer, a slight smile on his lips. "Even if you detain me at the Jun Family, it will be useless. My companions know I’m here. Once they find me missing, the situation might be harder to control."
Jun Yiyi’s eyes darkened, her heart shocked. Even this tiny action was noticed by him, making it seem impossible for her to do anything.
Originally, she intended to detain this person, take the initiative, and clarify the entire situation and his intentions.
However, it’s clear this person wasn’t easy to deal with either.
She reluctantly put the small gun she had taken from the drawer back down.
"What do you want?"
"I want Miss Jun to cooperate with us."
Jun Yiyi replied coldly, "As I’ve said, I was unconscious at the time. I don’t know what happened; when I woke up, he was already gone. If you want to find some information about him from me, that’s impossible. I haven’t seen him in ten years, and our relationship has always been distant; I know nothing about his matters."
She wasn’t saying this to deceive him; it was true that she hadn’t had contact with him over the years.
She felt a pang in her heart; he was no longer the person she remembered.
He felt increasingly unfamiliar to her.
"It’s impossible, right? How could your relationship possibly be distant? He cares about you so much, even came specially to save you. Miss Jun, why deceive me? Your relationship with him has always been close."
Jun Yiyi frowned, "I don’t know why he happened to be there. But I have no reason to lie to you; we haven’t been in contact for ten years."
"Then, are all the evidence I’ve investigated false?" The man let out a mocking cold laugh, then took a thick stack of documents from his briefcase and handed it to Jun Yiyi.
Jun Yiyi scanned the documents with doubt. What did this person mean? He spoke as if he was sure she was very close to Brother Ling Kong.
Taking the documents, she opened them and upon seeing the contents, her face drastically changed—her chest felt icy cold, and an uncontrollable anger rose.
The files were about her, from elementary school to university, every yearly event, large and small, encompassing her life, studies, including exams and activities, incredibly detailed, incredibly unbelievable.
