Chapter 1559: Chapter 1559: It’s Him

I need to brush up on my fashion knowledge, so those rich girls can’t show off about fashion trends and new designers I don’t know in front of me.

Humph, no matter what, I, Yiyi, have been a little fashion expert since I was young—there’s no way I’m losing to this group of ignorant parasites.

Frantically memorizing a string of designer names and brand new products felt like cramming for the finals. Two hours later, Yiyi’s eyes were green with fatigue, and she was falling asleep.

A phone call suddenly came in, jolting her awake.

Yiyi was really annoyed. Who dares to call her in the middle of the night and disturb her sleep?

She viciously unlocked her phone. If it was anyone unimportant, she would surely block them.

A number flashed with a blue light on the screen.

Yiyi was instantly stunned, holding her breath, filled with disbelief.

There was no name attached to the number, yet it wasn’t a stranger’s call because she knew every digit of this number by heart, even in her dreams!

She dumbly gripped the phone, her heart pounding wildly. This usually smart and bold girl, fearless even in front of a president, was suddenly at a loss.

"He actually called me!" Yiyi bit her lip, a spark igniting in her eyes, making her drowsy gaze remarkably bright.

She didn’t even know what she was feeling—happy? Angry? Or indifferent?

Because the shock of this sudden call was too overwhelming for her—it had already been ten years since then.

Yet that last argument seemed like it was just yesterday, she remembered it so vividly, every detail clear, like an unfading movie. Over the years, she had forgotten many things, both happy and sad, that drifted away with time.

But this one thing remained so clear and profound, replaying in her mind occasionally. She would always remember every detail of that afternoon, every word he said, every movement, every look.

Especially the last words: "Fine, since you hate me so much, and think I’m bad to you, then just leave, I won’t stop you!"

Every time she recalled it, it was like a knife stabbing her heart with pain!

This pain accompanied her throughout her growth, making her understand that his not stopping her meant he would never care again.

No matter how sad she was, waiting for a year, crying heartbroken on her birthday, he never showed up.

Memories surged like tides, and she thought she could forget, but she stubbornly remembered.

Now, looking at that flashing number, she felt a wave of sourness envelop her heart—a grievance spreading inside!

She held the phone, but had no courage to answer it.

Then the ringing stopped.

Yiyi was dumbfounded, staring at the screen, infuriated—it stopped before she decided whether to answer.

What does this mean, damn it!

She almost wanted to throw her phone away in anger, but at that moment, there was also an unspeakable disappointment.

Did he press it by mistake? So, he hung up before waiting for the call to connect.

He hasn’t spoken to her for ten years; why would he suddenly call her?

Her mind was a mess, but the phone in her hand started vibrating again, Yiyi’s heart was pounding even harder, yet she was more upset, tapping her chest irritably.

"Why are you jumping around, what’s there to be nervous about? It’s just a call. Pull yourself together! I’m still angry, whoever dares to bully me, Yiyi, won’t be forgiven easily! Yes, that’s it, fine, I’ll answer the call. Remember to keep a high and cold tone."
