Yiyi was shocked because beneath Aleck’s empty pant legs, there were no legs.

The girls gasped in unison, faces filled with fear.
Meanwhile, the boys who were just cursing in anger now appeared a bit awkward, stopping their outburst, mumbling silently, their sidelong glances unconsciously drifting towards Yiyi.
Yiyi did not notice this, frowning as she looked at Aleck sympathetically, feeling a deep sense of indignation. How could there be such terrifying and despicable people who ruin others just because they like the same girl? What kind of mentality is that, truly perverse.
The party ended on a sour note due to this incident, and Yiyi and Elizabeth returned home. After a shower, they lay on their beds.
Both were in low spirits because of Aleck’s situation, and unusually, they didn’t engage in gossip.
"Yi, there’s something I don’t know if I should tell you?" Elizabeth suddenly spoke cautiously.
"What is it?"
"I’ve actually heard that Aleck used to have a crush on you!"
Yiyi thought she was joking, "How is that possible? Don’t joke around, you and I have been in school together for so many years, you know no one has ever been interested in me, not even a single admirer."
"I’m serious, back then many girls were discussing it privately, you know girls are the most sensitive to these kinds of things." Elizabeth said, slightly annoyed.
"But he never confessed to me!" In Yiyi’s mind, not confessing equated to having no interest in her.
"I saw Aleck being quite attentive and seemed to have feelings for you. It’s just you who didn’t notice. And who says no one likes you, the boys often talk about you behind your back, every year in the school beauty poll you always got the most votes, how could it be that no boys like you?"
"Then why didn’t they confess?"
"Would anyone dare to confess to you? Didn’t you just see what happened to Aleck? Honestly, when did you have a mysterious boyfriend?"
