Chapter 1525: Chapter 1525: What Truth

Thinking back to last year, after Dad’s surgery was successful, for months, he paid me no attention, as if I wasn’t that important in his heart.

Thinking like this made me feel even worse, holding back the grievance inside.

"Nonsense, unless you were his toy, do you think any normal teenager would like a little girl who looks like a bean sprout? A pedophile, maybe?" Charlotte sneered.

Yiyi’s face turned pale, twisting her fingers.

"Say I’m jealous of you? You don’t even look at yourself. You’re just relying on your wealthy parents, thinking you’re a real princess, having everyone orbit around you. Apart from eating, drinking, playing, and acting cute, what is there to be jealous of? When you grow up, you’ll be nothing but a worthless, pampered second-generation rich kid, an ignorant parasite living off your family. If one day you lose your parents, you’ll have nothing left. Can you support yourself then? Who would pamper you like this? What makes you think you’re worthy of Ling Kong?"

Seeing Yiyi’s face pale, her little figure severely hit, Charlotte felt a bit more at ease. She didn’t even know why she had to compete with a child, but she was indeed annoyed by how much this little girl was spoiled.

Though her parents were nice to her, they never pampered her that way. They were too busy, teaching her from a young age to be independent, to become excellent, and not to be lazy or capricious. With her father being a politician, he had little time for her throughout the year, and her mother was the same.

Seeing Yiyi adored by so many people, she felt genuinely uneasy.

She especially wanted to break Yiyi’s sense of superior happiness.

She was so excellent yet didn’t receive such affection, why did this useless girl, who had no merits, receive so much pampering?

"Then are you worthy? You’re still relying on your parents, otherwise how would you achieve what you have today?" Yiyi countered.

"Humph, yes, I also rely on my parents, but unlike you who wants to cling to them for life, to cling to the people around you. Family is just the foundation for my rise; many with good family backgrounds can’t achieve what I have now, because it’s earned through my own hard work, something you, a lazy parasite, can never reach. I’m not trying to discourage you, but even if I wasn’t competing with you.

You wouldn’t be able to keep such an outstanding man; over such a long period of growth, someone as excellent as him has plenty of girls fighting over him, what can someone like you offer to surpass them? Your face? There are many prettier than you. Your capricious ignorance? Those knowledgeable outshine you in seconds. A foolish, spoiled daughter like you will only grow up to be an incompetent, horrid character failure."

Seeing Yiyi’s face growing whiter with discomfort, Charlotte finally showed an expression of triumph.

"I’m telling you the truth for your own good, to save you from self-pity when you grow up."

A tender yet icy sarcastic voice came from behind.

"What truth? The truth of being overwhelmed with jealousy because my sister is charming, super cute, and popular?"

Charlotte turned back in astonishment, unexpectedly finding someone so perceptive, seeing through her darkness with a glance, only to find it was a slightly older handsome little boy than Yiyi, dressed in a tiny suit, with a serious and mature demeanor seemingly beyond his years.

"Who are you?"

"Brother..." Yiyi exclaimed happily.

"Brother, turned out to be the brother of this silly girl. The sister is a fool, seems the brother isn’t any better?" Charlotte dismissed, unimpressed. How strong could a little kid’s fighting spirit be?
