Chapter 1506: Chapter 1506: Ending Part 54

"..." Mu Bao’er suddenly had nothing to say, as a mother, how could she agree.

This child’s body has never fully recovered. She had been trying hard to help him recuperate and take good care of him all these years, just wishing he could be a bit healthier, and she would be satisfied.

But now it turned out like this again.

"Where is he?" Ji Mo asked with a cold face.

Dr. K told them, and Ji Mo left them with cold words: "If anything happens to Ling Kong, I will never forgive you!"

Dr. K could only force a bitter smile.

Ji Mo and his wife stood outside the window of the intensive care unit, looking at Ling Kong lying on the hospital bed, covered with an oxygen mask and hooked up to IV fluids, unconscious and their hearts ached immensely.

"Ling Kong, you silly child, why do you always have to sacrifice for others..." Mu Bao’er leaned against the glass window, tears streaming down, with deep sorrow in her heart. Now that things had come to this, there was nothing that could be done, this was probably Ling Kong’s fate, always living for others, when could he live for himself, "Is that little girl really worth you doing this? Just hope she doesn’t disappoint you. Silly child, you need to get better soon, or else mom won’t forgive you."

...

When Ye Lu woke up, another day had passed.

She went to the intensive care unit to see Third Young Master Jun, who had not yet awakened, but his condition was stable, which made her very happy, feeling that the whole world had brightened.

She held his pale, slightly cool hand and kissed it fiercely.

"Jun Huang, thank you, we are both alive."

Nothing was more important than this; for them, being alive was the greatest hope, the end of the past, and the beginning of a new life.

Future happiness is waiting for them.

Then, she went to see Ying.

She heard that Ying had his last eye taken by the godfather; she felt very guilty, as Ying went back to stall the godfather for her, suffering such severe injuries, and she had been caught up in life and death pangs with Jun Huang, never visiting him.

Ye Lu went to his ward and found he was actually not there. She was startled, but the nurse said he got up early and said he wanted to go out to the sun, so a nurse helped him to a wheelchair and pushed him to the garden.

She hurried down to the garden below.

The morning air was fresh, the sunshine bright and warm, the breeze gently blowing, today was clear for miles, the sky blue like a piece of pure blue glass, so beautiful it was mesmerizing.

She looked around and saw Ying wearing a white hospital gown, sitting by the lake, looking up at the sky, so quiet, so pure, clean as a drop of untainted clear water.

The scene held a kind of breathtaking beauty.

It was hard to imagine that this person was once a dark king of assassins with blood-stained hands.

Ye Lu couldn’t help but marvel at how wondrous life was.

But she thought, Ying must really like this choice because he looked so peaceful now.

She walked over, and before she reached his side, he noticed her, still incredibly sharp, and turned his head.

"You’re here."

"Mm, the sun is nice today, very comfortable, what are you doing?" she said softly.

Ying turned back, raised his head to ’look at’ the sky.

"Looking at the sunlight, looking at the white clouds, looking at the breeze, looking at the green trees, looking at the fallen flowers covering the ground... I never knew this world was so colorful." His calm and light voice held a faint joy and a resilient vitality.

Listening to his words, looking at the white gauze bandaging his eyes, Ye Lu felt even sadder.

Dr. K said that the gunshot wound in his leg was not serious, but his eyes would never see again.
