Chapter 1374: Chapter 1374: Appreciating Her Even More

"Ha, whether it’s a win or a loss, sometimes you don’t even need to wait until the end to know. Besides, the two of them should reveal all their cards tonight—there’s not much suspense left!"

Huffman thought to himself, these two women seem to be eager, for some reason, to settle the outcome within a short period of time.

Therefore, whether it’s sharp and aggressive or steady and reserved, this period has undoubtedly reached the stage of a final showdown.

For now, though, Yiren’s cards are formidable, but she’s revealed them too quickly. It’s hard to imagine any major surprises anymore. Recently, she’s been very high-profile, showcasing her sharpness and exerting her presence in front of everyone, building momentum in the media. People know her quite well now, so her capacity for explosive impact is limited.

Meanwhile, Ye Lu has remained very low-key, working quietly. It’s hard to tell whether that’s good or bad. On the surface, she seems composed, but it could also be because she has no choice, no ability to confront things head-on, and so can only endure in silence.

Regarding her actual abilities, Huffman couldn’t quite figure her out. She appears smart at times, but at others, seems foolish. As for whether she has any cards left to play, it’s an enigma, since she’s never revealed even the slightest hint.

Is she keeping up appearances with calculated mystery, or is it simply a lack of strong cards at all? Tonight will tell. At the very least, it has sparked intense anticipation in him—though whether this anticipation ends in surprise or disappointment remains uncertain!

"So, Mr. Huffman, what’s your take on these two? Have you already made up your mind on whom you favor between them?" the assistant couldn’t help but ask.

"Judging by their current performance, I do indeed lean toward one of them," Huffman didn’t mind sharing his thoughts.

"Who? It must be Ye Lu!" The assistant remarked with near certainty, sensing Huffman’s recent focus on Ye Lu’s every move.

"No!" Huffman, however, raised a single finger and wagged it. "It’s Yiren."

The assistant was visibly shocked. He had thought Huffman would favor Ye Lu. After all, anyone could see that Yiren was far from being harmless. Behind the scenes, she had undoubtedly orchestrated quite a few underhanded moves. Recently, all of Ye Lu’s scandals circulating in the media were likely her doing as well.

In terms of integrity, Yiren’s tactics were truly disgraceful, something he deeply disdained.

"But I thought you admired Ye Lu more."

"I do admire her more, but not for her character or her approach. I admire her for her farsighted vision and unique ideas when it comes to managing a company. Yet, in every other aspect, she remains inferior to Yiren. Her style is far too conservative, especially in the handling of the public attacks orchestrated by her father-in-law using media influence. Her choice to respond with ’truth needs no defense’ and maintain silence deeply disappointed me.

Even if she had shown a slight counterattack, I would have appreciated it more. The Hua Group doesn’t need a righteous, charitable leader; it needs someone who can handle any adversity with poise, someone who understands when to be decisive and ruthless, someone who will strike back at the critical moment. Her inner strength isn’t robust enough, and her methods lack sharpness. Ultimately, she won’t achieve greatness. As for Yiren, though her tactics may not be honorable, the business world is inherently a filthy arena of gladiators. If you don’t use tactics, your opponents will! Clean hands won’t survive!"

Huffman couldn’t help but let out a sigh.

Though he was a maverick by nature, this choice was about maximizing the future interests of the Hua Group.
