Chapter 345: Forget about making a comeback!

Hua Jing walked swiftly down the long marbled corridor, her heels clicking rhythmically against the polished floor. The hotel was one of the most luxurious in the city — chandeliers glittering like frozen stars, gold trimmings gleaming at every corner, and attendants standing so still they almost looked carved out of stone. Only the elite of the elite stayed here, and on any other day, Hua Jing would have ignored everything around her.

Today, however, she was too irritated to notice the beauty.

At that very moment, a few doors down the corridor, Businessman Zhou was wrapping up a meeting with several important clients. One of the clients had just left, and the door was still slightly ajar. As Zhou walked the client out, he casually glanced toward the hallway — and froze when he saw a familiar silhouette.

Hua Jing.

His pupils shrank in excitement, his breath catching for a moment before a greedy smile stretched across his sweaty face.

Ever since Hua Jing reappeared in the industry, something inside him had reignited — an old, animalistic desire he had never managed to fulfill years ago. He had even struck a secret deal with Hua Ling, promising her certain benefits if she delivered Hua Jing to him. The Floral Beauty endorsement had been part of this disgusting arrangement.

But Hua Ling had not acted fast enough.

And now the beauty was walking right past him.

Without hesitation, Zhou shoved his chair back and lurched to his feet so abruptly that his companions nearly jumped.

"President Zhou? What’s wrong?" one of them asked, alarmed.

Zhou forced out a laugh, waving one pudgy hand dismissively. His shirt stretched awkwardly over his round belly, several buttons threatening to burst open. His face was shiny with sweat.

"Ah—ha—nothing, nothing," he panted. "Something urgent has come up. I’ll take care of it and return shortly. Please continue enjoying your drinks."

Before they could react, he waddled — no, almost ran — out of the private room, his stomach bouncing with every step as he charged down the hallway like an overstuffed cartoon character.

Hua Jing was reaching the end of the hallway when she suddenly heard heavy footsteps pounding behind her. She frowned. The steps were too fast, too desperate, too... chaotic.

She instinctively turned — and blinked.

A fat, middle-aged man was barreling toward her, his limbs flailing, his shirt buttons undone around his bulging stomach, and sweat dripping down like rainfall.

For a second, Hua Jing wondered if he was rushing to the restroom. He looked like he was in physical pain, after all. She even moved aside slightly to give him space.

But instead of passing her, the man skidded to a stop right in front of her, panting with a greasy smile spreading slowly across his shiny face.

The look he gave her made Hua Jing’s skin crawl.

"Can I... help you?" she asked sharply, her posture immediately alert.

Businessman Zhou licked his lips. Literally licked them.

As if she were a dish he wanted to devour.

"Superstar Hua," he said with false warmth, "long time no see."

Hua Jing stared at him blankly.

"...Who are you?"

The cold bluntness in her voice made Zhou’s face flush with embarrassment, but the humiliation was quickly swallowed by his desire.

"I—I’m Businessman Zhou," he said proudly, straightening his rumpled suit. "An executive at Blue Entertainment."

Recognition flickered in Hua Jing’s eyes.

Oh.

Him.

The human trashcan.

The man notorious for preying on young girls in the company. Married, with children, but still shamelessly pursuing trainees and actresses. He had destroyed careers, ruined lives, and bullied those who refused him. Hua Jing had seen enough back then to know exactly what kind of monster he was.

Disgust rushed through her like bile.

"Well," she said flatly, "it’s not nice to meet you too."

She immediately turned to walk away.

But Zhou lunged — his sweaty hand reaching for her arm.

Hua Jing stepped forward quickly, avoiding his grab with effortless precision.

His fingers closed around empty air.

Zhou stumbled, nearly falling, and the humiliation turned his face into an ugly red blotch.

"No woman has ever refused me!" he snapped, voice rising. "Do you think you can just leave?!"

Hua Jing gave him a cold sideways glance — confused and disgusted.

Why was this pig screaming so suddenly?

Zhou straightened himself and sneered. "Are you trying to make a comeback? Hm?" His voice dripped with disdain. "Do you think you can make it without my approval? Without my help? Dream on."

That was it.

Hua Jing finally understood.

This wasn’t about work.

This wasn’t about Blue Entertainment.

This was about his perverted fantasy — revived the moment he saw her alone.

He leaned closer, lowering his voice as if offering her a precious secret.

"You’re not the superstar you once were. You’ve been gone for a year. You’re forgotten... ordinary. But I can help you." His beady eyes raked over her body. "Just spend a few hours with me, and I’ll bring you right back to the top."

Hua Jing felt her stomach turn.

She eyed him from head to toe — the sweat, the filth, the arrogance.

Then she raised her chin and said, clear and crisp:

"Get lost."

Zhou froze. "What did you—"

CRACK.

Hua Jing’s sharp kick landed squarely under his chin.

His head snapped back, and his large body toppled to the ground like a collapsing mountain, arms flying, legs shaking. He hit the floor with a heavy thud, groaning in pain.

Hua Jing didn’t spare him another glance.

She walked with a sway as she left some words behind,

"Don’t let me see you anywhere near me, if I do, I will slap the shit out of you!"

Her heels clicked away, elegant and unbothered, as if kicking a disgusting pig out of her path was just part of her daily routine.

Behind her, Businessman Zhou clutched his jaw, his pride shattered, his eyes burning with humiliation and rage!

"Do you think I will let you go? You insolent thing, as long as I am here, you should forget about ever making a comeback!"
