Chapter 2459: Chapter 820: See, I Told You Laser Eyes Are the Coolest! (Part 3)
Luckily, Ambo’s battle pet, tamed with Niu Niu’s help, was an impressive Silver-winged golden eagle.
"How did He Lu end up in such a complicated place?"
Niu Niu, with a stylish shadow step, cut down a werewolf monster and then charged with an elf-style crescent greatsword, crashing into the werewolf attacking Ambo.
He held his blade and struck a deadly pose with Midnight Assassin Swordsmanship, then said to Ambo, who landed back-to-back behind him:
"Was he captured and brought here? Did our nephew suffer some R-rated torture?"
"Can’t you say something nice? You dirty foreigner."
Ambo retorted irritably, just as she saw a werewolf sneaking into the shadows to attack while she reloaded her crossbow. The handsome Witch Hunter, wearing a pirate eye patch, quickly dropped the crossbow and drew his revolver, unleashing a flashy gunfire slash that forced the werewolf back with three rapid shots.
"Keep an eye out for me. That trick Giant Shark taught me..."
Niu Niu noticed three troublesome werewolves closing in and said to Ambo, who nodded as she’d already drawn the giant crossbow from her back and cocked it.
At the same moment, Niu Niu took a deep breath to activate Bloodthirsty, then unleashed Giant Shark’s "Endless Annihilation," taught by that freak. This shameful move drained a third of Niu Niu’s health bar instantly, but in exchange for horrifying power that accelerated him like a blood-red lightning bolt.
With the draw of his sword, two nearby werewolves fell, one dead and one injured.
This fearsome damage made the last werewolf decisively turn tail and run, while the injured one tried to hide and heal but had its head instantly blown by Ambo’s crossbow.
Panting heavily, Niu Niu propped himself up with his sword and then was helped up by Ambo, but young people are romantic; even barely clinging to life, he still wanted to embrace his wife for a victory kiss.
However, Ambo was worried about her nephew now and had no time for romance.
She kicked Niu Niu’s leg, making the Vampire Swordsman grimace in pain.
"Alright, alright, let’s go. I was wrong, okay?"
Niu Niu grabbed a blood pack from the psychic package and gulped it down, then hurried with the anxious Ambo toward the depths of the corridor. The path was clear of obstacles, while explosions and shouts represented the player army and Blood Covenant hunters had infiltrated the base and were ruthlessly sweeping through.
"Here it is! He’s inside..."
"Out of the way!"
Niu Niu swung his greatsword, breaking the lock and drawing Ambo inside.
They saw He Lu lying on the operating table, life and death unknown, while a bastard dressed like a heretic held a Melt Sword high, seemingly about to execute the poor reconnaissance master.
"Stop!"
Ambo panicked.
She had been an orphan since childhood, growing up in a hunter’s cabin at the edge of Antani’s emerald green forest, raised by the villagers. He Lu’s family was her only kin, and when He Lu was recruited by the Circle Tower, she promised his parents she would take care of him. Now, seeing her nephew in danger, Ambo immediately drew her gun and fired.
Meanwhile, Old Flynn had closed his eyes, waiting for death’s release.
But the bullet Ambo fired only knocked away the sword from Old Flynn’s hand, not because she didn’t want to kill him. She was stopped by Niu Niu’s fingers from pulling the trigger for a second shot.
"Hey, isn’t this whole asking to die plot too cliché?"
Niu Niu held down his girlfriend’s wrist and cursed:
"I’ve watched too many movies; this situation seems fishy. If you want to kill, at least activate the Melt Sword and then chop, alright? Without a hot blade, it’s just a piece of iron. Unless you’re planning to bludgeon poor He Lu to death...
Now, step away from the operating table, bastard!"
"Why aren’t you playing by the rules! Kill me! Damn, why aren’t you shooting? Do I have to beg you?"
Old Flynn was furious.
This was supposed to be his perfect ending but was rudely interrupted by Niu Niu, leaving him embarrassed and like a public execution, filling this old heretic with fury. He grabbed a scalpel and charged at Niu Niu.
But in his rage, the old reconnaissance master had forgotten the first rule: Don’t get too close to the enemy.
Especially when the enemy is a Reserve sword saint...
"Bang."
A heavy blow brought Old Flynn to the ground, and Niu Niu spat to the side as he withdrew his iron-clad fist.
Meanwhile, Ambo rushed over to check He Lu’s safety, relieved to find her nephew unharmed, and began patting his face to awaken him.
He Lu, hearing his aunt’s voice in a daze, opened his eyes to see, then...
"Whoosh"
A scorching, orange laser beam brushed past Ambo’s hair, continuing behind, piercing through three walls before dissipating, under Niu Niu’s stunned gaze.
"Damn! Psychic laser eyes! Awesome... But close your eyes, idiot! You’re trying to take out your aunt and uncle-in-law? You’re asking for a beating!"
