Chapter 830: Chapter 739: The Great Isavia Trial (Part 1)

After a long silence, Xu Xiaoyou shook her head.

"Taking one step at a time; it is often not the biggest obstacle to solving trouble."

Bai Youyou nodded, and Angelina cast a scrutinizing look at her. The two of them faced each other, neither breaking the silence.

"For the time being, I’ll leave things outside to you both. There’s no time to lose, help me with the related matters now, I must set out soon."

"I’ll keep monitoring Daylight City, and I’ll notify you immediately if there’s anything unusual."

"As for the defense work..."

Angelina sighed: "It’s not my first day being your nanny, cleaning up your mess."

"No matter what, finding a breakthrough is a good thing, go early and come back early."

After handing over her promise, Xu Xiaoyou’s heavy heart eased slightly. A light shone down, enveloping her body.

In the next moment, she found herself in a space, pure white as far as the eye could see, vast enough to hold rivers and seas, with a dawn core engraved with runes radiating light quietly above.

Xu Xiaoyou shielded her eyes with a hand, squinting towards the dawn core.

She was quite curious about what kind of core technology could support such enormous calculations, simulating different world lines.

The dawn machine was connected to a massive computational device located somewhere in deep space, acting like a launch terminal, a gift from the Pioneer civilization.

Intuition told her that Bai Youyou deliberately concealed something from her.

"You, the activation device needs a little more time," Bai Youyou said.

"I need to remind you of some important points. You can think of the dawn machine as a giant tree, where the first simulated worlds are the branches of this tree, continuously receiving data nutrients to help it evolve new world lines, grow new branches."

"The closer a world line is to the base of this tree, the more closely related it is to its roots."

"Avoid excessively interfering with these world lines as much as possible, try to maintain their stability and integrity, or the operation of the dawn machine might be affected. Unpredictable things might happen."

"If you encounter danger on any world line, be sure to call for me, and I will immediately work to isolate you."

"If you die on any world line, you’ll be recognized as data to be destroyed by the dawn machine..."

Bai Youyou’s voice faltered before continuing.

"You will really die."

The dawn core, like a star in the cosmos, continuously emitted light and heat, with magma surging across its surface.

The entire space was illuminated by the light of day!

"You," Bai Youyou started but stopped.

Xu Xiaoyou looked at her, her eyes showing a hint of confusion.

Bai Youyou shook her head: "I’ll wait for you to come back."

As the daylight grew dazzling, the hum of the operating dawn machine echoed!

After the light faded, the silhouette of the blonde girl vanished, disappearing into the pure white space, as if she had never been there.

Angelina watched this silently. Beside her, Bai Youyou entered a hibernation state, maintaining basic functions.

There was something they hadn’t mentioned to Xu Xiaoyou, perhaps she had thought of it too.

Not long ago, the dawn machine had been activated once.

Time Node: End of the Silver Era

Historical Event: Isavia Grand Trial

In the darkness, the clatter of chains echoed. The cacophony grew closer, as if countless people were fiercely arguing. A dim red glow illuminated the corridor, and a blonde girl walked slowly through the mirror’s reflection.

"Number 0001."

Before an opulently decorated oaken door, two guards dressed in company attire stopped her.

The two armed escorts behind her stepped forward, presenting a series of credentials before the guards made way. It was not hard to tell from some details that they were highly tense.

Even though the blonde girl wore anti-magic shackles on her wrists and ankles, with her once brilliant hair now dull and lusterless, neither the escorts nor the guards dared relax for a moment.

This blonde girl had deceived everyone. Beneath that crimson apple-like exterior was a demon reflecting the darkest facets of the human heart. She lured people with sweet words, drawing zealots to willingly die for her; with the alluring charm of a villain, she attracted fugitives to prostrate under her pomegranate skirt.

She was a villain’s poison.

The oaken door opened, causing millions to fall silent simultaneously.

The arguing ceased, replaced by a deathly silence.

But soon, an even more intense outcry came roaring like a tidal wave.

"It’s her, Dark Gold Rose!"

"Don’t let her go, she must be sentenced to death!"

"Letting her die just like that is too good for her! She shattered countless families and displaced so many people!"

"If it weren’t for her, we would have already overcome the Mysterious and stepped into a new era!"

"She brought plague, war, famine, death! She and her followers are demons through and through!"

"I demand she be sentenced to the ultimate punishment, her body dismembered, her soul incinerated, enduring eternal torment in the fires of sin!"

"Demon! Demon! Demon!"

"Order!"

The judge, seated above and wearing a pale mask, struck the gavel, and the clamorous accusers fell silent as if a pause button had been pressed.

In the courtroom, everyone’s eyes focused on the blonde girl in the dock.

Xu Xiaoyou slowly opened her eyes.

Where... was she?

The heated accusations and disputes still echoed in her ears. The judge’s majestic and solemn voice pierced straight to the heart, reaching the soul.

It seemed she was in the middle of a trial, and she was the main defendant in this grand judgment.

"Do you admit your sins?" The judge asked loftily.

"Dark Gold Rose."

"What crimes have I committed?"

The blonde girl’s soft murmur rose.

People were momentarily silent, then the next moment, anger flared up.

The expression of the judge’s pale mask shifted, his silent posture turning to one of indignation, the sewn eyelids forced open by his fury!

"You obstinate and unrepentant fool, must I recount your crimes even now?"

"In year 17 of the Apocalypse, you orchestrated the horrific ’Blood Skull Sacrifice Miracle’ in the capital of Moria, causing 135,000 deaths!"

"In year 22, you spread the Death Eater Plague in Kael Parveil, turning 40,000 people into carnivorous zombies! The region remains desolate, a forbidden zone for life."

"In year 23, in Dune City, you used ’Spice’ to awaken ancient sandworms, leading to the entire city’s demise within the belly of the sandworm and under the sands!"

"In year 28, in Origin Point City, you caused the ’Starlight Fall’ incident, opening a tunnel to the Eternal Garden and attracting the Mysterious’ attention, resulting in 400,000 suicides due to endless madness."

"In year 33, in R’lyeh, you detonated a Phoenix nuclear bomb, with the debris alone of that catastrophe killing countless people!"

"In year 37, you unleashed the roaming AIs from Celestial Trace City, allowing them to breach the fourth wall, nearly paralyzing the entire network world, indirectly sparking the Curtain War that engulfed all major corporations and Nest City in conflict."

"You plunged the whole world into unending flames of war, into the shadow of death!"

"Year 42 of the Apocalypse..."

"Year 49 of the Apocalypse..."

"Year 50 of the Apocalypse!"

By the end, the judge was completely dominated by rage, his chest, voice shaking with fury as he sped through one bloody charge after another, until his voice broke.

"And you, having committed such monstrous crimes, dare to brazenly question the legitimacy of this trial!"

"You unforgivable criminal!"

"I say," Xu Xiaoyou calmly spoke, "I should at least have a chance to defend myself, don’t you think?"

"Well said, summon the Burning Apostle!"
