Chapter 688: *I’m sorry but it is not over yet*
She would launch from time to time wind blades and fireballs against them, and it was enough to keep them at distance as they had to keep moving to avoid her attacks.
Sometimes she also use the body of the one she was fighting with to shield her from their attacks. But suddenly, she saw an opening; maybe they weren’t careful enough.
As the two kids still using their vines wanted to attack her from behind, they both used different directions to launch their attacks and stopped protecting themselves. If she could use her speed combined with her wings, she would be able to push them out of the combat zone.
Willow then waited until they were ready to attack her, and then she kicked the kid she was fighting in the stomach, sending him flying outside the circle that delimited the combat zone.
Then she used her maximum speed to dash once more towards the two kids left.
The vines that were supposed to immobilize her broke as they hit each other, their target already far from them.
As the kids were still surprised and unable to follow Willow’s speed, she grabbed their wrists, and since they were still too stunned to react, she started spinning herself, making them fly around her.
Before letting them go, she warned her Daddies to catch them because she didn’t want them to get hurt.
The kids were sent flying by Willow, and Axel and Kevin caught them before they hit the wall of the arena as they had just promised her.
As for the one Willow kicked in the stomach, Axel caught him too, and Kevin already healed all his wounds.
Peter then announced that Willow had won, and Willow was beaming with joy. Maya and Peter came to congratulate her, and the kids she had fought were also very happy despite the fact that they had lost.
Since Kevin had already taken care of their wounds, they all wanted to continue to play with Willow.
She agreed, still with a bright smile on her face, to come play with them, but she first threw herself into her Daddies’ arms and waited excitedly for their comments on her match.
Kevin then told her, after hugging her, "You were brilliant, my little princess. I’m so proud of you."
Axel then asked her, still surprised by the fighting techniques that Willow used and how she threw out the last two kids, "Where did you learn to do that?"
Colin then appeared close to them, and Willow smiled at him, telling her Dad, "My last attack I learned it from Grandpa; he often used this kind of attack when we are hunting."
Willow then told him, "As for the fighting techniques, it’s a mix of both your styles. The Warrior Spirit fighting techniques are stronger than the ones you learned, Dad, but no one can do anything against your speed. So I only used the techniques that are easy to execute while increasing my speed."
Kevin then said again, watching Willow as if she were the most precious treasure, "Brilliant! That’s my baby girl!"
Axel then laughed happily and said to Willow, "You can go play now, but be careful. I’m going to unseal your powers."
Axel then made the rune that was preventing her from using her powers disappear, and Willow, after having hugged everyone, went back to play with all the kids.
Maya and Peter then joined them, and Maya let them know what had been decided during the negotiation.
Now that the impenetrable barrier was in place, the humans of this world were safe, and Elias and Miguel even left a transdimensional communication stone with the evil beings for them to be able to intervene if a God ever showed up again.
As everyone had joined them, Axel then told them, looking especially at Peter’s master after having created a powerful force field around them, "I’m sorry, but it is not over yet, and the casualties on your side might be higher than you think."
Axel then told them what he had discovered while spying on Lilith and Sliman’s conversation, and Peter’s master paled when he understood what a corrupted soul was.
One corrupted soul could corrupt other souls, and when Axel described the woman he saw with Kevin through Sliman’s mind, he told Peter that it could only be Ariana, the only woman on the council, because otherwise, she wouldn’t have been able to access the communication stone to replace it with a fake one.
Peter then said, "This is bad. Ariana rarely comes to fight, and she stayed to protect the city... But Master meets her at least two times a month, and his soul isn’t corrupted, right?"
Axel then confirmed that none of their souls had been corrupted, so Peter then heaved a sigh of relief and said, "Maybe she can’t corrupt an Angel’s soul or someone stronger than her."
Axel then shook his head and told him, "To corrupt a soul, the person can’t be pure; it can only work on someone greedy, someone ready to do anything to gain power... things like that."
Peter and Maya then looked at Peter’s master, and the latter told them, clenching his fists, "Since the war has started, the council of the Angels, which is normally always united, has started to disagree with each other; two sides have formed. One side, led by Ariana, wanted to take this opportunity to elect a Supreme Angel that could rule all the humans, and this Supreme Angel would have been able to make the final decision, even if it was against the council’s will. I’m the leader of the opposition, and since we are more than them, we have never let them elect a Supreme Angel."
Peter then asked them, "Is there a way to save them? They weren’t like that before..."
Axel was ready to tell them that there was no way to save them, but Miguel then said, before he could speak, "Lena seemed different from the other Angels. According to Peter and Maya, she is more powerful... So maybe she can help them."
