Chapter 664: *A bad feeling*
Miguel then said to Colin, "Honestly, Colin, you are still too young to be able to use this kind of attack. You already know how to create multicolored energy balls, so you know how taxing it is to make them. Before Kevin, then Ashton, and then Zak appeared, you were the most promising Mage I have encountered during all these millennia, but you are still only 500 years old. To create tornadoes using this multicolored energy, you will need to have a much bigger energy reserve, so keep training, and one day you will be able to create one like this."
Colin then smiled helplessly and said, "So this time there is no shortcut that I could use..."
Miguel shook his head and simply said, "Nope!"
Mykael then put his arm around Colin’s shoulders and said to him, "I really hope that you will never have to use this kind of attack after this war is over, so focus your training on what you are good at."
Colin nodded and said, looking down, "I will... And at least these two Ancient Gods left a gift for us; these two Divine swords could be used by our friends who have mastered the Evil Divine Element."
Elias then said, "Actually, counting these two Divine swords, we have retrieved four in total... And now that this battlefield is cleared of the army of Zombies and Warrior Vampires, let’s see how the kids are doing on their side. Kevin’s Stage 3 is already over, and I want to check on them."
They all agreed, and so they teleported right to the middle of this training center, leaving the Warrior Spirits and the others dealing with the remaining creatures.
When they arrived, all the buildings were now reduced to dust, and not a single Knight of Darkness or evil being had been spared. Wherever they looked, the ground was burnt, and there weren’t any corpses either...
Colin then said, dumbfounded, "I didn’t pay too much attention to this part of the battlefield, as I knew that Kevin could use his Stage 3 and that Axel had undergone such a change of power, but what happened here and where are they? I can’t spot them at all."
Mykael then said, when Elias and Miguel looked at him, "They aren’t in their personal dimension; only Willow is there, and she is training peacefully."
Elias, who couldn’t spot them either, then said to his Chains of Restraint, "Find him and show us the way!"
Miguel then asked him, "Don’t tell me they went alone to that other training center, did they?"
Elias shook his head and told him, "They are still there, but something is preventing us from locating them."
His Chains of Restraint then started to head in a direction and they finally discovered the hole that was probably leading to the shield’s generator.
Axel then contacted them as he could feel them coming and told them all at the same time, "Kevin and I are going to blow up this place, so stay away from the hole; we will be right back!"
While they stayed away from the hole, as Axel asked them to do, they all felt a huge explosion of power, and the ground then started to shake.
They didn’t even have time to worry since Axel and Kevin had already teleported right next to them, and suddenly the ground where the tunnels leading to the shield’s generator were located collapsed.
The fact that they were trapped in this world hadn’t really pleased Kevin, and it was only by destroying the shield around it that this world could finally free itself from the oppression these Gods had exerted over them.
From now on, if such a thing happened again, Elias would know about it straight away and could intervene before things got as bad as they were now.
But Miguel still said to him, "Son, you should have left it up to the people of this world whether or not they wanted to keep this shield."
Kevin then told him, as he had already expected that his Dads would be against this decision, "I know... And I will take full responsibility. Dad, I will find the words to explain to them that they have more to lose by keeping it than by destroying it; don’t worry about it."
Miguel then smiled, and Elias immediately asked him, "How are you feeling?"
Kevin was pale, and Axel had put his arm around his waist to support him, but despite this, Kevin smiled and told him, "I’m feeling great; I just need a good nap... But not now; I have a bad feeling, but I can’t determine where it’s coming from."
Miguel then looked at Elias, who said to them, "Me too, I have a bad feeling... I think we better check out this other training center quickly; I can’t think of anything else that could trigger our instincts."
Kevin nodded and said to them, "I will just go and rest in our personal dimension; I won’t be of any use to you in this state, but Axel has to go with you. He can enter their heads and find out why we both have this bad feeling."
Axel then sensed that something was wrong with Kevin, and suddenly Kevin’s body began to convulse, and he lost consciousness.
Axel swore immediately and followed his Wolf instinct, which told him to bite him again on the mark he had made on his neck to share his powers with him once more.
His Wolf side then told him that it should be enough to stabilize Kevin’s condition and that he would be able to recover faster from the quantity of powers he had just used, which had completely exhausted him.
Axel acted so quickly that nobody had time to react, and when they both disappeared, Mykael then told them, sighing, "Axel is taking Kevin to Willow; it should be alright. He is stabilizing Kevin’s condition by sharing his power with him."
