Chapter 643: *This Ancient God isn’t too stupid*
Elias then asked him, "Where are the others?"
Axel said, hurriedly, "Inside the cave we landed in after Miguel opened his transdimensional portal. They are safe for now; Kevin’s Chains of Restraint sealed this place."
Elias nodded and said, "Go back with them and protect them until we arrive. It won’t be long, I promise."
Elias then disappeared, and Axel hurried to catch up with Sliman.
Fortunately, Sliman didn’t know that he was there, and so even if he was furious, he didn’t leave the impenetrable barrier immediately.
He gave some orders to his men and warned them that Ulyss and Roman would arrive soon and that they had to obey them as if it was Lilith herself who was there.
Then he went to another place and asked 3 men to follow him. Axel paled as he realized that these creatures not only resembled the General Wizard and Elite Warrior Wizards they could find in the purple dungeons full of summoned creatures, but that their energy signatures were also the same... Except that they were much more powerful than those in the purple dungeons.
So Sliman wanted to use summoned creatures rather than real soldiers to get rid of them... Kevin then said to him, "This Ancient God isn’t too stupid. This way, he won’t lose any of the dear evil beings that Lilith wants for her army... Even though, in my opinion, these summoners are some of the best soldiers out there, and he is still taking a huge risk by ordering them to go face us."
Axel, who was following Sliman to be able to teleport to Kevin as soon as he was out of the impenetrable barrier, then said to him, "Can you feel the difference in power between these Wizards and those in the purple dungeons through our link?"
Kevin said to him, "Yes, I can! And I don’t know if it’s because of Lilith that they are more powerful or if it’s just because they are in their home world and can continue to progress—not like the ones in the purple dungeons, whose levels can’t be changed."
Axel had no idea either, and so when he tried to get their thoughts to learn more about them, he could feel that they weren’t afraid at all and that they were excited to fight against opponents like them.
As their thoughts didn’t help him, he focused on their energy reserves, and their reserves of Soul force were really impressive. He could see that their meridians had been strengthened by black particles, so part of their powers was still due to Lilith and not only their own skills.
Kevin got the same information as Axel, and since Axel was still following this Ancient God and those summoners, he said to Atlas and Solomon, "Axel has succeeded in contacting Elias, so they will arrive as soon as possible. But this Ancient God will soon arrive with a General Wizard and 2 Elite Warrior Wizards... You have both trained in these kinds of purple dungeons before, so you know what kind of threat we are going to face. Still, I have to warn you, those summoners are stronger than the ones in the purple dungeons, and Axel just found out that their meridians have been strengthened by the black particles, so the Evil Divine Element won’t be as efficient against them as for the others."
Kevin sighed then added, "Our best chance to kill them is still to destroy their energy reserves or behead them."
Atlas then asked Kevin, "Will your golden chains be able to stop the laser beams of the Dead Cyclopes, or shall we strengthen my force field?"
Kevin really didn’t know what to say, so he told them honestly, "I have no idea... If it were the same Elite Warrior Wizards and General Wizard as those in the purple dungeons, my Chains of Restraint could hold back their attacks. But as those summoners are more powerful, will the creatures they can summon be more powerful too? Will they just be able to summon more of them, or maybe they will be able to summon new ones..."
Solomon looked at Atlas, who had more experience than them, and Atlas then told him, "The Wizards can only summon the same creatures, and I think we have already been able to see all of them by looting the purple dungeons. Now I’m not sure either; normally, the level of the creatures you can summon is predetermined, right?"
Kevin simply nodded, acknowledging that the question was directed at him. Atlas then said to them, "Here is what I think: they will be able to summon multiple creatures at once, and their attacks using the Darkness Element will likely be replaced by the Evil Divine Element or a blend of both. This will pose a much greater challenge for us."
Kevin nodded and told them, "Then, let’s strengthen your force field as much as we can because I’m not sure that my Chains of Restraint will be able to stop a few laser beams made of black particles. Maybe we should add a few Runes too to it, like that it will be able to absorb more energy, and it will help us hold our position until Elias arrives."
Axel then told him through their link, "I will strengthen your Chains of Restraint too when I join you. The stronger they are, the better."
Kevin’s creepy smile then appeared on his face, which made Atlas and Solomon shiver involuntarily.
Kevin couldn’t wait for this new confrontation, and fortunately, with Axel, they had bought a huge quantity of Legendary grade healing potions just before coming, just in case they would need them, so if he wanted to summon creatures too, he could replenish his reserves of Soul force at any time.
And if their summoned creatures could use the Evil Divine Element, then his should be able to use the Angelic Divine Element... At least that was what he hoped for.
