Chapter 57: *Falling into the den of the wolf a second time*

Axel then said to Kevin, knowing he would like the idea, "While you were meditating, I thought that since tomorrow is your spells class, it might be even better to practice in a dungeon in the afternoon. What do you say? Do you want to go?"

Kevin looked up, surprised. "Are you serious?"

Axel nodded and explained, "I’ve already prepared Erik’s training program, and he doesn’t really need me right now. Since I’ve become his tutor, I can take him with me twice a week for expeditions—that’s what they call looting a dungeon here. I will make sure to schedule the expeditions for the days when you have your alchemy class, so you can craft as many potions as you want at home."

Kevin smiled at Axel. He was impressed that he had thought of everything. The excitement sparkled in his eyes, but this time he restrained himself from jumping up to kiss him; he wasn’t planning on falling into the wolf’s den a second time. "Of course I want to go! Maybe we can also take this opportunity to try to get my fire element to level 1."

Axel leaned in and placed a kiss on Kevin’s lips while he was sitting on the floor preparing to craft his potions. "Don’t worry; I’ve been thinking about that too. I believe a dungeon is the best place for what you want to accomplish. If I use my sword in the Wildlands, its power might attract people we should still avoid right now, especially since you are still too weak to fight them."

Kevin found Axel’s reasoning logical. In fact, using his fire attacks inside a dungeon would allow the fire particles to remain concentrated there instead of scattering everywhere—it was even better that way.

He then grabbed the back of Axel’s neck, keeping their lips close, and said, "You’ve already thought of everything, haven’t you?"

Axel rubbed his lips against Kevin’s, asking for a kiss. "I had plenty of time to think while you were meditating... Kiss me, babe."

Kevin didn’t need to be asked twice and kissed him passionately. To avoid losing what little control he had left, Axel bit down on Kevin’s lower lip before stepping away to continue studying the map of the Wildlands.

He also wanted to note the levels of the magical beasts he had sensed there, as these creatures were always drawn to the disturbances in spiritual energy caused by the opening of a dungeon. The more powerful the dungeon, the more powerful the magical beasts surrounding it would be.

Axel had felt the last dungeon’s energy and noticed that the magical beasts grew stronger the closer he got to it. When they returned tomorrow, he would only need to follow that trail to start, which would be a good beginning.

Meanwhile, Kevin was focused on his potions again, and his heart had finally stopped racing. He had only four potions left to craft: three with the ingredients Uncle Douglas had provided and one with ingredients given by the Sun Sect.

Using the technique Alan had taught him, Kevin worked diligently, and half an hour later, he had finished all his potions. When he saw that Axel still seemed absorbed in his map, adding notes to it, Kevin decided to check out his System’s store to see if he could purchase ingredients for crafting potions.

He was delighted to find that he could buy all the ingredients separately. However, all the magical herbs were sold in sets of 100 stalks, and goblin blood was sold by the liter. He continued browsing and found that he could also buy the ingredients needed per potion.

For example, the ingredients to craft five low grade Healing Potions cost only 3 gold coins. This System was incredibly practical! Not only could he buy ready-made potions, but he could also purchase the ingredients to craft them himself.

Feeling a bit tired, he closed the System’s holographic screen and returned everything to his magic bag before getting up to join Axel.

As Axel noticed Kevin get up, he immediately stopped what he was doing and opened his arms, silently inviting him in. He had noticed that Kevin loved to snuggle in his arms, so he was taking full advantage of it.

When Kevin joined him and settled into his embrace, Axel asked, "Do you want to take a shower or a bath tonight?"

Kevin, remembering his promise, said, "A shower will do just fine. But before that, what should we do with the potions I have in my inventory? Should I just sell them back to the System and buy them when we need them? What do you think?"

Axel responded honestly, "I think you can sell them back. As you said, you’ll just have to buy them if we ever need them. I also think you should continue to buy ingredients and sell the potions you craft to the Sun Sect. It’s not good to rely solely on your System. The Sun Sect has always been good to me, and trust me on this: it’s a very powerful sect. If you support them by buying the ingredients and selling them your potions, they will support you when you need it."

Kevin took the time to think about it, and decided to trust Axel. "Okay, if that’s what you want, I’m fine with it. I will continue to maintain a good relationship with them." 𝙛𝓻𝒆𝒆𝒘𝙚𝓫𝙣𝙤𝒗𝙚𝓵.𝙘𝙤𝙢

Now that he had the answer to his question, he blushed and asked, "What do you want us to try?"

Axel chuckled and said, "Don’t worry; I’ll tell you that once we’re in bed."

He took Kevin’s hands and placed them behind his neck before bending down and lifting him into his arms as if he were carrying the most precious thing in the world.

That was the impression he gave to Kevin. This time, he didn’t struggle and let Axel do as he pleased, keeping his eyes on Axel’s as he carried him to the bathroom.

Kevin even allowed Axel to undress him, and he returned the favor, taking the opportunity to caress Axel’s muscular body, which could undoubtedly make any man envious and any woman fantasize.

When that thought crossed his mind, he vowed to make anyone who dared to covet his man pay dearly.
