Chapter 565: *I have underestimated you*
Phil then smiled and said to Axel, "Thank you, Axel. Having your blessing and Kevin’s blessing could help me with Dilan’s sons..."
Axel laughed happily and told him as he engraved the Vision Rune on his right wrist, "You have our blessing; you don’t have to worry, and Kev will be really happy too... As for Alan, Nolan, and Kelan, I think you don’t really need our blessing. They were just saying that it would be great for their dad to have a life partner."
Phil widened his eyes, but then he noticed that Axel had a serious look while saying to him, "Listen carefully, this Rune will allow you to see what I saw. Right now, there are only the first and second Knights of Darkness, but we know that they have found a way to turn legendary creatures into Knights of Darkness..."
Axel quickly explained everything to him, including the difference between a legendary creature that had corrupted souls and the ones that had already turned into Knights of Darkness.
He told him that the Knights of Darkness have a totally black aura, more or less intense and thick depending on their level, and that the legendary creatures would still have their aura’s color but that they would have black spots in it.
Phil thanked him for all this information, and while Axel continued to engrave his Vision Rune on everyone’s wrist, he told them exactly what he had just told Phil. The latter joined Dilan’s sons, worried for them after what he had just learned.
If they were fighting against Knights of Darkness, it wasn’t an ordinary battle; Dilan’s sons could be injured by black flames, and so he needed to stay by their side to be able to quickly remove these black particles from their bodies, or else it could be dramatic, and he didn’t want to have to tell his life partner that he couldn’t protect his sons adequately.
Nolan saw him first and waved at him. He was with Alan, Erik, Kevin, Liam, and Ian; even Blaise was with them.
When he joined them, he frowned and asked them, "Why are we so many... How many of them are we fighting?"
Kevin then told him, "We’re not sure yet... Elias and Miguel, along with some of their Warrior Spirits, are facing the first and second Knights of Darkness right now and some of their underlings, but they want us to be ready for battle since these bastards came knowing full well that we have discovered their secrets..."
Phil just nodded, and Nolan told him, "Miguel is trying to attract them into one of their training dimensions because the world they are currently fighting in is a small world, and the inhabitants would be in danger if they stayed in this world."
Phil nodded again, and when he looked around, he recognized some of the Warrior Spirits that were training them.
Solomon, Sora, and the Demons who could use their demonic aura were there too, and some of the best Shapeshifters were on another side of the prison dimension, talking with Axel, Raven being the only one right now to be able to transform into a Divine Dragon.
Alan then suddenly grabbed Phil’s left wrist and frowned when he saw the mark of the Union on his palm.
He then told him, not having the same developed sense as Axel, "You better share this mark with my dad or forget about seeing him again..."
Nolan then looked at them, and when he saw the mark of the Union, he said with a devilish smile on his face, "Wow, I underestimated you; you really did do it with Daddy. Congratulations... I hope you followed my advice and weren’t too rough with him..."
Alan then put his hand on Nolan’s mouth to shut him up, and he was still waiting for Phil’s confirmation, looking at him with concern in his eyes.
So Phil sighed and told him, "Of course I’m sharing this mark with your dad... And I’m sorry; I didn’t mean to put his life in danger by becoming his soulmate..."
Alan then told him while removing his hand from Nolan’s mouth, "Well, from what you just said... How did our dad trick you?"
Nolan then laughed, seeing Phil’s stunned face, and told him, "Seriously, Phil, in the future, you need to be smarter than that. Our dad isn’t as clever as Kelan, but you should really think twice before agreeing to do something."
Phil, as always, thought that he was someone who could be considered smart, but compared to this family, he felt a little helpless.
He just nodded and said to them, "If Ian and Liam agree, let’s all fight together. This way, I will be able to remove the black particles from your bodies if you get injured."
Kevin smiled hearing that and said to Phil, "Don’t worry about them. Alan can use the Golden particles to fight against the Black particles, and Nolan, thanks to his special ability, doesn’t fear them either, as he can use them to condense them and make a counterattack."
Kevin then added as Phil still looked not to be reassured, "Even though we may not all have your fighting experience, we can all defend ourselves, so stay focused on your own fight, okay?"
Phil just nodded, and Nolan then asked him, "In our next morning training, could I train with you and Blaise?"
Phil then said without thinking twice, "Sure you can... But why so suddenly?"
Nolan then told him, "I’m used to training my special ability with Axel, Raven, and Erik, but as Kevin just reminded me, I would like to also train on condensing the Black energy. After all, we’re going to fight against a lot of enemies who can use it, so I better be prepared!"
Blaise, who had remained quiet until now, then said to him, "Sure, Nolan, you can come find us anytime, and if Phil is busy, you can come to me. I will be more than happy to help you; actually, I’m kind of curious about your special ability, and the more powerful you get, the better my brother-in-arms will be able to relax, right?"
