Chapter 554: *We will put it to good use!*
Axel then learned by deduction that his grandfather had been one of the guinea pigs they used to gather information about the Werewolves and that they had used the information collected to set up these training centers so that the Werewolves could transform into Knights of Darkness.
They also learned that there were at least 5 other centers like this one, but this man didn’t know in which world they were located. As this man was bullshitting them out loud, they still got the right information thanks to Axel.
So Kevin continued to question him, this time about what they were doing in this laboratory, and they learned that this place wasn’t exactly a laboratory but was more like a command post.
They were in charge of feeding the black energy crystals that made the whole building work, and they learned that not all the rooms were fed by the same number of black particles. Everything was more technical than what they had thought at first, and that was probably why his System called this room a laboratory.
They learned that the first rooms on the first floor were reserved for the new Werewolves. The amount of black particles was less there because the bodies of these Werewolves had to slowly get used to the changes that the repeated torture of the black particles would bring to them.
Then, little by little, the quantity of black particles increased, and the rooms that were used for the ultimate transformation of the Werewolves into Knights of Darkness were the last ones that Kevin and Axel had visited, those at the end of the second floor.
In this command post, they also monitored the evolution of each Werewolf, and it was they who ordered them to change of "training rooms" and dormitories when the time came.
Kevin was hinting and asking a lot of questions while assisting the interrogation until Axel got useful information, helping them to discover that the most promising Knights of Darkness were taken directly by their general, who, according to Axel’s description, as he could clearly see him in the man’s mind, was Lilith’s second Knight of Darkness.
Since this man did not know where they were being taken, after that Kevin focused his questions on the training centers. And although this man had no idea where the other training centers were, thanks to a device marked with the runic symbol of space, they exchanged their respective information every week to try to improve their effectiveness and thus create more Knights of Darkness as quickly as possible.
Kevin, before killing him because he had obtained all the information they needed, finally asked him, "Earlier you said that any legendary creature could become a Knight of Darkness and that it was even better to use them to create one... Does that mean you tried to turn other legendary creatures into Knights of Darkness?"
The Werewolf then began to laugh a demented laugh, and Axel swore, saying aloud this time because he had sensed Kevin’s desire to kill this scum, "You’re right; it’s not just Werewolves. There are also phoenixes and shapeshifters of all kinds, as long as they have passed level 100—the level where our animal form becomes a legendary creature."
The man’s laughter then abruptly died out when he realized that Axel was, in fact, able to read his mind, and Kevin, who still had his Stage 2 activated, began to slowly disintegrate the man thanks to the golden particles while saying to him, "Thank you very much for all the useful information that you have provided us with. I promise you that we will put it to good use!"
Once the man was disintegrated, Kevin then asked Elias and Miguel, "Is there anything else you want to know?"
Miguel smiled at him just before killing the other 4 men who were still held back by his chains made of golden and light particles, and he said to him, "Impressive; it would have been difficult to do better than that!"
And Elias added, feeling proud as he was the one who had trained him personally, "Good job, kid, as usual!"
He then said, looking at Axel, "That was good teamwork, and that ability you have to read minds will probably still be very useful to us."
Axel smiled at him, and Miguel then told them, "I have already warned Tarik and the others that they can get rid of the Werewolves that we have taken prisoner. Thanks to all the information you got from this man, we don’t need them anymore."
Elias nodded and said, "All we have to do now is take all these documents and materials for Glen and his team to study them. Maybe they will find the worlds where the other training centers are located."
Everyone got to it, and once the room was emptied of everything that could be useful to them, Atlas then asked them, "You brought me here because this place was trapped, so now that we’re done getting everything that could be useful to us, do we blow it up?"
Miguel nodded and told them in an authoritative tone, "Everyone go back to the prison dimension; I will take care of it!"
As soon as Miguel finished his sentence, they all left immediately, and Miguel then looked at Elias, who had not moved an inch, "My dear husband..."
But Elias cut him off immediately before Miguel could tell him that he could handle this matter alone, "Together, my love... Let’s do it together!"
Miguel sighed, but when he saw the stubborn attitude of the man of his life, a radiant smile appeared on his face as he told him, "You will never change... and perhaps that’s the very reason why, after countless millennia spent by your side, my love for you remains as strong as it was on the very first day."
Elias then joined him, and after kissing him passionately, he said, "You blow up this wall, and I will take care of teleporting us to safety."
Miguel smiled and told him, "As you wish!"
