Chapter 538: *The big shot here*

In the red dungeon, Miguel was swearing because this time they had encountered new creatures that he himself had never met before.

They looked like fairies, and they were so fast that even using their Stage 2, the Warrior Spirits had a hard time dealing with them.

Moreover, even if they were very small, their cunning attacks were deadly effective because they were using golden particles to try to eliminate them.

The fairies were also not stupid, and they all kept their distance from him as if they knew that he was the big shot here... Well, of course he was, but as always, he had hidden his true power to avoid disturbing his men or the creatures living in this red dungeon.

He wasn’t sure how these creatures had guessed that he was the bigger threat to them, but none of them came close to him. So each time his men wanted to rest or evaluate their options, they all gravitated toward him, as these fairies wouldn’t dare to approach him no matter what.

This dungeon was full of these small, fast, and cunning creatures, and he had to heal his men regularly because they were getting hurt by golden attacks full of golden particles that caused huge injuries, even for Warrior Spirits.

After healing one of his men for the umpteenth time, he whistled, and they all came to join him.

Some of the youngest and least experienced among them were even having trouble catching their breath, and Miguel then said to them, "Don’t try to run after them; every time these kinds of fairy creatures lead you into a trap. So here’s what you’re going to do: you are going to close your eyes and concentrate on your hyper-developed senses to predict their movements. You’ve been trained to deal with all kinds of creatures, so since these fairies move extremely fast, they’re bound to make a sound. Focus on that and eliminate them one by one when they start to approach you, understood?"

In the other red dungeon, Elias and his team were dealing with summoned creatures, and even though he wanted to end this red dungeon as quickly as possible to be able to join Connor and Derek and let Mykael and the others deal with the problem of the corrupted souls, he still had to let his men train, as it was so rare for them to gain enough experience points to level up.

Atlas, who was nonchalantly leaning against the dungeon’s wall, then asked him, curious, "Why didn’t you intervene during the last war between the Titans and the Gods? A lot of innocent people died in this war too."

Elias then sighed and told him, "I’m sorry for your losses, Atlas, really sorry, but the Creator himself forbade us from intervening, and he sent us to another part of our universe where Warrior Spirits were appearing one after another. Their worlds were being invaded by Giants, and we helped them to deal with them. In the end, we forced them to retreat into their homeworld, which Miguel sealed to stop them from invading other worlds. In the end, the Giants couldn’t find a way to coexist, and their entire race disappeared."

He then said to Atlas, "All the Creator told us is that both the Gods and the Titans didn’t learn from their past mistakes, and that this war would give them a good lesson and put a stop to their madness. And he was right; even if the Titans had suffered a lot from this war, all the worlds that were invaded by your Emperor were free again. The Gods, having won this war, forbade the Titans from leaving their world, protecting these worlds from being attacked again. The Gods returned to their palace in the plane of existence reserved for them, and from time to time, they went to their worlds without causing trouble anymore."

Elias smiled sadly at him and finally told him, "After this war, our universe has been in peace for the last 8,000 years. So as I said, the Creator was right to send us where other innocent people needed us and let the Gods deal with the Titans on their own... But I’m still sorry. I know very well the pain you have been through. We, the Warrior Spirits, have all lost our loved ones at least once, sometimes more than once... I wish that I could protect everyone from this pain, but unfortunately, life has to go on."

Atlas nodded before saying to him, "I’m sorry for what the Titans did at that time in the worlds they invaded. I promise you that it will never happen again... And you don’t have to be sorry. I’m starting to get to know all of you better now, and I know that you would have never let innocent people die if you had the choice."

Glen then appeared next to them and said, "Sorry to disturb the both of you, but these black particles are really a pain in the ass."

Glen then showed them his right side, where he had just been hurt, and Atlas smiled at him before absorbing the black particles from his body.

Then the high regeneration ability of the Warrior Spirits finished healing his wound, and after thanking Atlas, he went back to fight against a sea of Warrior Skeletons and other dead creatures that kept appearing again and again.

Elias then winked at Atlas, and he disappeared from his sight before all the summoned creatures disappeared one after another.

Then Elias was back as if nothing had happened, telling him, "Miguel was not convinced by the leader of the rebels of your world, but you have been able to win the love of an Angel, and not just any Angel at that. Lena is one of the strongest of her kind, so we are sure that you will be a good leader for the future generation of the Titans. We will be there to help you if you need us."
