Chapter 534: *Well, it hurts...*
Greg frowned immediately and told him, "You’re the only God I’ve ever met, and as for men with a black symbol on their forehead, there is one who came to our village to recruit fighters and mages."
When he saw that Mykael and his friends tensed up at once, he said to them, "Follow me; let’s go to a better place to talk."
Mykael then nodded and said to Greg, "My son and son-in-law would like to visit your world. Do you mind if they go on their own? Nobody will notice them, I promise."
Greg then smiled at Axel and Kevin and said to them, "After your father came to save us, our world has become a peaceful place, so you can go anywhere; you will always be welcomed by the Wolves who live here."
Axel, who had Willow in his arms, and Kevin, thanked Greg, and then they left to track down the corrupted souls.
Mykael didn’t have to tell them what they had to do because Axel was the only one of them capable of recognizing the Werewolves under Lilith’s command, and this way they could kill two birds with one stone.
While Mykael and Colin would learn why a Knight of Darkness came to their world, they would kill any Werewolves who had a corrupted soul.
This world was even smaller than theirs, but Axel still chose to use his Divine Wolf. Once they were in the wild, he gave Willow to Kevin and shapeshifted.
Kevin also activated his Stage 2, and Axel immediately said to him via their link, "Babe, it will be quick; get on my back. There are 6 packs in total and an unknown energy source that we will have to check."
Kevin frowned, asking him right away, "Another impenetrable barrier?"
But Axel told him with certainty, "No babe, it’s different from the other world. Let’s check the Werewolves first; we will go to this unknown energy source after we’re done with our mission."
Kevin didn’t add anything and told Willow about what Axel had discovered, but for now, she couldn’t sense anything, and Kevin smiled at her, telling her that he too couldn’t sense this mysterious energy source.
While roaming in this new world, Axel had cloaked them under a powerful force shield, so they could approach the Werewolves without them noticing.
It was kind of fun; while checking the 6 packs, they enjoyed the different sceneries that this world could offer, and this world was truly beautiful.
In their blue sky, other planets could be seen—one green and one purple—and there was a lot of purple and red vegetation in this world that they didn’t have in theirs.
Even their oceans weren’t blue azure; it was more of a lilac color, which was kind of weird for them. Otherwise, there were mountains, valleys, and plains, like all the worlds they had visited so far.
When Axel finally informed them that this was the last pack they needed to check and that he hadn’t found any corrupted souls among the Werewolves in this world, they decided to report back to Mykael and Colin.
Then Axel told his father that there was one last thing he wanted to check out before joining them again.
Mykael then told them that it was actually a Knight of Darkness who came regularly into this world to try to recruit new fighters and mages.
He would show them his powers and promised them that they could also become as powerful as him if they chose to follow him.
Greg wasn’t strong enough to fight against this man, but apparently, Werewolves had to come willingly; otherwise, their training wouldn’t work. So, this man couldn’t force them to enroll and this was a good thing for them.
In fact, Greg had mentioned to Mykael that although this man was undeniably a bit creepy and gave him goosebumps every time he saw him, he was always polite and had never threatened them.
Greg told them that this man always passed through all the different packs and that those who chose to follow him were sent to another world, and they never came back.
But as Greg had told Mykael, there was nothing he could do against this man, and all Werewolves who had followed him were willing to go anyway.
After Mykael reported to them his conversation with Greg, he told them, "Sons, I have great news. Guess what? This Knight of Darkness is supposed to come back to this world in 5 days, so we have time to prepare a welcoming party for him. What do you say?"
Axel smiled and said to his father, "I don’t know if it’s great news for us, but it will definitely be one for Elias, Miguel, and the Warrior Spirits. Don’t forget our orders, Dad; if it’s the first Knight of Darkness, even with the runic symbols I engraved on your body, you may not be his match yet."
They heard Colin laugh because Axel had connected all their minds together so that they could share their information, and Mykael then said, sighing, "Well, it hurts... But you’re right. If it’s the second Knight of Darkness, we could manage him all together, but if it’s the first one, then... Okay, I will tell Elias and Miguel. You guys can go check this energy source, but be careful and call us if you need us to come."
Axel winked at Kevin and said before cutting their communication, "Sure, Dad; we will call you if we need you."
Mykael then looked at Colin and sighed again, asking him, "Is Axel so strong now that he won’t ever need me in the future?"
Colin then smiled at him and told him, "They both love you very much, so they will always be happy to see us. But yes... Axel is getting stronger and stronger, and when Kevin will be able to use his Priest powers and use his Stage 3 longer, they won’t need us anymore to watch over them."
