Chapter 532: *I won’t show them any mercy*
Willow then asked him excitedly through their telepathic link, "Are you going to use your Divine Wolf form to track them down, Dad?"
Axel nodded; he would be much more efficient if he used his wolf form, and as his father had just reminded him, they would need to move fast.
Willow then let out one of her melodious sounds to show them that she was really happy and eager to go hunting with them, and Axel then handed over Willow to Kevin before kissing them both and shapeshifting into his Divine Wolf form.
Of course, he reduced his size so that he could move more freely wherever they would go.
Axel wasn’t worried that his dad and Colin couldn’t keep up with him, and so, once Kevin was settled on his back, holding Willow in his arms, he opened his senses to the maximum.
As soon as he spotted the energy signatures of Werewolves, he rushed toward them because from this distance he couldn’t detect if their souls were corrupted or not.
Colin then said to Mykael while they were following Axel, "Maybe we should just teleport to each of their packs for Axel to check them first. If Lilith has corrupted the souls of the Werewolves in this world, she surely chose those who had power in their hands."
Kevin then answered him, "You’re right, but there is no need to teleport to these packs. Axel can obviously feel the places that are populated with Werewolves, and at the speed we move, it will only take us a few minutes to get there. Don’t worry."
Kevin, before settling on Axel’s back, had activated his Stage 2 so that he was able to create a force shield around him and Willow to protect them from the wind that would have prevented them from taking full advantage of the speed at which Axel was moving.
And since Axel was in his Divine Wolf form, he had immediately connected their minds together thanks to their link, so that Kevin could see and feel the same thing as him.
There were quite a lot of Werewolves where they were heading, but Axel sometimes changed direction to check some Werewolves that were isolated from the others.
Colin, after hearing Kevin out, just nodded as Mykael seemed to agree to let his son handle this mission as it suited him. So after the first pack, they went to the one closest to this one and then to the next one. But after checking 5 packs and 1/3 of this world, there was still no trace of Lilith.
It was rather good news. Then Axel continued to guide them through this world. After the 8th pack, while they were in the wild, Willow felt something weird, like an energy that had nothing to do here, and Axel then stopped, looking in the same direction as Willow.
Kevin then explained to Mykael and Colin that Willow had felt something weird and that Axel, after focusing in the same direction, could feel it too.
Kevin then told them, "Axel can feel a force field, but it is protected so that no one could detect it, and Willow also felt this energy, but she couldn’t point it out like Axel, and she got goosebumps just by feeling it."
Colin then asked Kevin, curious, "As you are using your Stage 2, can you also feel something?"
But Kevin shook his head and told them, "I can only report to you what they are feeling; alone, I won’t be able to spot it."
Mykael then said to them, "Colin and I will go first. If it’s an impenetrable barrier, even Axel might not be able to see it."
No one argued, and Axel this time stayed behind his father and Colin, who, after only a minute, made him stop. They both widened their eyes when they saw that it was indeed an impenetrable barrier and that it was a huge one at that.
Axel, who was still using his Divine Wolf form, could finally also see this impenetrable barrier this time, and so he said to Kevin using their link, "This barrier is way too big; we should go and let Elias and Miguel deal with it. They reminded us that if we find something suspicious, we just have to report it to them and that they will check it after they finish looting the red dungeons."
Mykael then sighed because he couldn’t pass through the impenetrable barrier like Miguel, and so even though he could destroy it thanks to his Divine sword, Lilith would probably feel it, and their missions that had to remain secret would blow up from the start.
He then said, looking at his son and Willow, "Well done. I have already sent the coordinates to this place to Elias; let’s see if we can find something else in this world."
They all nodded, and 5 minutes later, Axel made them stop near the closest pack to this impenetrable barrier, and he immediately felt them.
There were Werewolves here who had corrupted souls. Axel then used his powers and connected to his father and Colin’s minds, showing them what he was seeing and explaining to them, "All the Werewolves you see with a black aura around them had their souls corrupted... What should we do now? Do we just kill them?"
Mykael didn’t expect that the Werewolves being corrupted were so numerous in this world, but he said to Axel, "They have made their own choice by choosing to corrupt their souls, so I won’t show them any mercy... The only thing I’m afraid of is that if we’re not quick enough and they send a warning message to Lilith, we will be discovered."
Colin then said aloud, "Let me and Kevin create a diversion for you and Axel. The Werewolves will just think that it was a natural disaster, and while our storm rages, you and Axel will kill those who have corrupted souls discreetly."
