Chapter 465: *The respect due to his rank*
Inside the shield, Axel, with his deeper voice, then asked him because he couldn’t stand Kevin staying angry at him, "My love, I already promised you I won’t do it again. Tell me what I can do to appease you?"
Kevin smirked and said, "So my beloved wolf can’t stand his mate being angry."
Axel the wolf sighed then, and he took him in his arms. He kissed him tenderly this time, and then he pushed slightly at his sweater and kissed the mark that he had made on him.
Kevin could feel that this time he had really understood and that he wouldn’t do it again, so he said to him, "If you ever lick my face with your wolf’s tongue again when you are in your ultimate form, I swear that I will cut it off. Even though it will probably only take a few minutes to grow back, I’m sure that it will be extremely painful."
Axel the wolf smiled when he heard Kevin say that because he knew it was all talk; Kevin, even in his fury, would never hurt him.
But the message had gotten through, so he said to him, "I promise, no more licking, my love."
Kevin then looked into Axel’s entirely golden eyes and stood on tiptoe to kiss him. He then said to him using their bond, "Of course, it was a bluff; I could never hurt you, my beloved wolf."
Axel the wolf then covered his face with kisses, and Kevin rubbed his nose against his, which was, for wolves, the greatest mark of affection.
He then said to him, "I love you... I love your human side, and I love your wolf side. If ever this unknown force in your tattoos tries to take you away from me, I will destroy it, and I will make it pay dearly for having dared to attack my husband."
Axel knew that Kevin was dead serious, so he said to him, "With you by my side, my Warrior Spirit, I am not afraid of anything... I love you, my mate."
Axel then waved his hand, and the golden shield disappeared. Following the instructions that Axel the wolf had just given him through their link, Kevin took off his sweater, and he immediately felt the mark that was at the base of his neck heat up.
But it was the kind of warmth that was comforting, and it wasn’t painful at all.
He looked sideways at Axel, but Axel was now focused on his family, who were looking at them in awe. He said to them, "Grandpa, to answer your question, the mark I made on my mate is unique; it’s that of a Divine Supreme Alpha. While I don’t want to scare you with my power, I still have to show you the power of this mark to make you understand why it is so special. I made it for Kevin, who is a human, so that all the other wolves and Werewolves would give him the respect due to his rank."
His grandfather then repeated, without understanding, "The mark of a Divine Supreme Alpha... to give the respect due to his rank... What does that mean?"
Kevin, still following Axel’s instructions, moved forward slightly, and his mark began to shine. Immediately, Axel’s siblings fell to their knees, unable to bear this pressure, and a few seconds later, it was his stepfather and his mother who fell to their knees, completely suppressed by this powerful aura too.
Only Axel the grandfather seemed to be able to fight against this pressure, but his complexion was livid and beads of sweat started to appear on his forehead.
Kevin then looked at Axel the wolf and said to him, "Honey, enough; you’re going to hurt them..."
But Axel the wolf then told him, "Do not worry, my mate. I can control the power of your mark so that the pressure won’t be too hard on them, but even our Grandpa needs to understand the difference between being a Supreme Alpha and being The Divine Supreme Alpha."
Axel the grandfather finally fell to his knees, gasping and feeling completely unable to resist the pressure.
He then looked with concern at the other members of his family because if even he couldn’t handle the pressure, then it must have been much worse for them.
But when he saw that they all looked fine, he frowned, and he immediately felt the pressure that had made him fall to his knees disappear.
He got up immediately and said to Axel, "Kid, so it’s true; you can even control this power completely. It’s incredible. Axel the wolf smiled at him, and Kevin breathed a sigh of relief when he saw that Axel’s grandfather didn’t look angry but rather excited by this revelation.

Then they saw a majestic white wolf, and they saw him taking care of Axel. They saw images of his friends, especially Alan and Liam, who had been his pillars during his first years. Then they saw his meeting with Kevin, and his grandfather, his mother, and her husband immediately recognized the feeling of having found their mate.
