Chapter 424: *The battle of the Royal Palace part 24*

Kevin smiled then, and he looked at Ian before saying, "I’m going to do exactly what Ian did; I’m going to show all the soldiers who are still fighting that their King is dead, and by showing them the pentagram mark on my chest, I hope that will be enough to end this battle."

He thought for a moment and then conjured up a teleportation portal in front of Solomon and asked him, "Can you go get the Queen? With her by my side, the fights should stop immediately."

Solomon nodded and disappeared through the teleportation portal, and while waiting for him to return with Sora, he motioned for Ian and Liam to join him.

Ian looked with disgust at the head Axel was still holding by the hair and asked Kevin, "So, are you ready?"

Before answering this question, Kevin made the golden sword that Axel was still holding in his free hand disappear, and he took the opportunity to intertwine his fingers with his, "As long as I have all of you by my side, I am ready to face anything. What the four of us are about to do will change our world forever, and in order for it to work and for us to establish a lasting peace between our two territories, we must show them right away that our two races can live together."

Liam ruffled his hair affectionately and said to him sincerely, "Thank you, Kevin, for everything you’ve done for our world and for saving Ian from the fate Lilith had planned for him. Without you, we wouldn’t be here today."

Kevin smiled at them, and when he saw Solomon returning with a woman, he said, "It’s time!"

Liam turned around, and after Ian said to him that it was okay and he could go, he quickly walked over to Sora and hugged her, almost choking her. He said to her in a voice that had become hoarse with emotion, "Finally, after all these years, this nightmare is over."

Sora was also very emotional, but she didn’t forget why Solomon had come to get her, so she said to Liam, "Solomon told me that our new King needs me. Let’s go; I also want to thank him personally for his help. Thanks to him... to all of you, I’m free, and I was finally able to join Lena, who is also safe."

Liam finally released her and motioned for her to follow him. Kevin was talking with Ian, and Axel had put his arm around his shoulders, which prevented Sora from seeing his face.

When Sora noticed that Solomon was not following her, she turned around, puzzled, and asked him hesitantly, "Aren’t you coming with us?"

Solomon immediately joined her, as he could feel that Sora was a little tense, and he said as he accompanied her, "Sora, Ian is our King now, and it is he and Liam who will deal directly with Kevin and Axel in the future." 𝒻𝑟ℯℯ𝑤𝑒𝑏𝑛𝘰𝓋𝑒𝓁.𝒸𝑜𝘮

Sora then said to him, "Maybe, but it’s thanks to you that we are here today, so you have the right to be present and to witness all the important moments that will change our world."

Liam then turned to him and said, "Sora is right, and Kevin has asked you to bring Sora back so that you too can stand by Ian’s side when he announces the death of the King and the peace treaty between the demons and the humans."

Solomon was stunned; he hadn’t thought that Kevin would want him present when he announced that a peace treaty was going to be signed between their two races. For him, he had already done him a favor by letting him go get Sora; after all, he could have sent Liam in his place; it would have made more sense.

But Kevin was someone who paid attention to others, and he probably knew that Solomon was worried sick about her, so he really thought that it was only to reassure him that he had sent him to get her.

When they joined them, Sora suddenly grabbed his arm and instantly turned very pale, as if she had seen a ghost. He heard her stammer, "It’s impossible... it’s... it’s impossible... noooo..."

The pain Sora felt when she saw Kevin’s face tore her heart into a million pieces. She couldn’t breathe, and it was as if the world around her was falling apart.

Black dots appeared in her eyes, and her vision blurred; her ears started ringing, and before she fell into darkness, she used the telepathic link she shared with her sister and cried out her name, feeling despair wash over her like a tidal wave.

Sora finally passed out, and Solomon immediately grabbed her. Then he took her in his arms, carrying her in a bridal style, and looked at Kevin, who seemed as distraught as he was.

Solomon then turned to Liam and asked him, confused, "I don’t understand. Kevin doesn’t look at all like the memory I have of Xander... But she must have recognized him somehow; there is no other explanation."

Liam was also speechless; he really hadn’t expected this. For him, it was impossible that Sora recognized the body of her son, so he shrugged helplessly. Then, suddenly, Caleb appeared, and next to him stood a young woman.

A few minutes earlier, Lena had been forced to stop helping the boys because at first, she had trouble breathing. Then, when she finally heard her sister’s desperate cries, she was overwhelmed by her emotions and begged Caleb to take her to see her immediately because something bad must have happened to put her sister in this state.

After Miguel agreed, Caleb teleported them to Sora, and Lena immediately frowned when she saw that Sora had passed out.

Liam then walked around Solomon to reach Lena, and he took her in his arms. He hadn’t seen her in 17 years, and he was so relieved to see her that he immediately told her: "Lena, don’t worry... Don’t worry, Sora’s fine; she just fainted."
