Chapter 404: *The battle of the Royal Palace part 4*
Caleb then told them, "We should go back; there is still a Titan left, and Kelan and my men are still waiting for us."
Lucas put a hand on Axel’s shoulder and asked him worriedly, "Are you sure you’re okay?"
Axel smiled and told him, "I’m really fine; go with Caleb first. I need to talk with Miguel about something."
Lucas nodded and left to join Caleb. He couldn’t afford to waste too much time here as the battle was just beginning, and he just hoped that Axel would remember it and join them quickly.
Axel immediately said to Miguel once Lucas was gone, "I just wanted to tell you that when my wolf side took over my human side, and my senses became hyper-developed... I saw the divine energy. It was like a golden veil that covered everything. It was the first time I saw it so clearly, and I could do anything I wanted with it without any effort. My tattoos also absorbed the divine energy on their own, and I felt like I had recharged or upgraded my father’s sword. But it’s just a feeling, so I’m not really sure. Is this normal? Do you also see this golden veil covering everything?"
Miguel was not often speechless, but here he had to admit that he was.
If this was true and Axel could see and use the divine energy as he wished, and if he had really done what he had just said to Mykael’s sword, which had been crafted by the Creator himself, then Axel might be far more powerful than anything they could have imagined.
Miguel coughed, feeling a little embarrassed because he had really been taken aback by what Axel had just told him, so he said to him after glancing at Elias, "Axel, I have never seen what you just described. I can see clearly the two different layers of energy: the spiritual and the divine one, but I have never seen a golden veil."
He explained to him, "I can only see golden particles inside the divine energy, and they are not numerous enough to even group together... Listen, with Elias and the other Warrior Spirits, we will search in the memory of this very first God who knew the language of runes, and we will try to find out what is happening to you."
Elias then said to him, a little worried, "Axel, you are Kevin’s life partner, so if you feel bad or need anything, just call us. We will come right away."
He then added, "The power you used is way too high for your current level. Your body might not be able to handle that much energy, and you might die if you use it for too long. But you are already aware of that, right?"
Axel nodded and told him, "Don’t worry; I would never put Kevin’s life in danger, and I’m really not interested in embarking on a perilous quest to gain more and more power. The only thing I want is to be with the people I love and take care of them."
Miguel smiled at him and told him, "You’re right, so be very careful and stay away from your father’s sword for now."
Before leaving, Axel said to them, "There was something else that seemed strange to me... When my tattoos were absorbing the golden particles, I had the impression that they were strengthening my body, and even my wolf’s much stronger survival instinct didn’t sense any danger from this huge amount of golden particles that were flowing through my body."
Miguel then said to him, "Your impression was probably right. I absorbed a lot of Elias’ golden flames, and I can guarantee you that my body has undergone permanent changes. Not only did I become stronger and faster, but my body also became more resistant to physical and magical attacks. Only the black flames that Lilith and her Knights of Darkness use managed to hurt me."
Axel then thanked him warmly; that was great news. After apologizing to them because he couldn’t stay here too long, he left them to join the others to continue fighting.
Once alone, Miguel turned to Elias and said to him, "This is something we’ve never tried before, and it might be worth a try. If you can absorb the golden particles through the golden symbols that appear on your body when you use your Stage 3, it will surely make you stronger too."
Elias then said to him, still a little worried about Axel, "We could try it later. I know how much you like trying new experiments... But first, we need to find out what is happening to Axel."
Miguel smiled at him and told him, "You’re right, my dear husband. Let’s take care of our family first."
He then said, thinking back on what had just happened, "Axel’s power during that minute was truly terrifying, and the strangest thing is that he doesn’t seem to be affected at all, whereas after using such power he should have fainted, or at least shown signs of weakness."
Elias put an arm around his shoulders, and after kissing him, he said, "And that’s exactly why we should definitely look for the meaning of these symbols."

Back in the palace’s basement, Axel realized that Kelan and Caleb’s men had successfully subdued the king’s soldiers and had locked them in cells that prevented them from using their energy reserves.
They were all already gone, and so he used his senses to find them. They weren’t far from where he was, and before joining them, he tried again to locate the last Titan, but he still couldn’t feel him or the Queen’s sister.
It was really strange, but luckily the core of this world was helping them. Without it, they would have had no idea that a Titan was missing, and they would never have been able to find Lena’s whereabouts.
Once he joined them, he stood next to Lucas and smiled to reassure him. He could see the genuine concern in his eyes, and it warmed his heart.
