Chapter 401: *The battle of the Royal Palace part 1*

A magical barrier surrounded the Royal Palace, and the four strategic points that Kevin had specifically chosen to destroy it were its generators.

Because even though the barrier wasn’t that strong and they could shatter it easily, the problem was that another one would replace this one immediately if those generators were not taken care of.

The mages that were in the frontal assault started to bombard this barrier with all sorts of spells to draw the guards’ attention to them, and Colin, who was currently protected by Mykael’s force field to remain undetectable, decided to give them a hand.

Suddenly, the starry sky was filled with black clouds, and lightning began to streak across the sky, illuminating the army trying to enter the Royal Palace with a ghostly light. Then, lightning started to strike the center of this magical barrier, which was the weakest part of it, and cracks appeared on the barrier as if it would give way at any moment.

Kerry then signaled Dilan, Derek, Nolan, and Malo, who each had about 30 soldiers under their command, to prepare to enter the Palace courtyard. And as the lightning continued to strike the center of the barrier, making the cracks that had appeared larger and larger, Julian, who was standing at one of the strategic points with Ashton, Yelena, and a woman he didn’t know, asked them again, "Are you really sure about this? Wouldn’t it be better if I’m the one doing it for you?"

Iris laughed then and told him, "You’ve never seen them train, have you?"

Julian then said to her curiously, "Sorry, but you’re right; I haven’t seen them train together. Yelena is even a fighter and a young one at that, so I have no idea what she is capable of... But who are you exactly? How come you’ve seen them train and I haven’t?"

Yelena glanced at Julian, and it was true that she didn’t know him personally, but she had seen him fight in spell battles just before she entered the Sun Sect, and she thought he was really awesome back then.

Ashton said again to try to appease Julian, wondering why Kevin had placed him with them, "Teacher Julian, don’t worry; with Yelena, we have a very destructive attack force, but we still lack experience in battle. That’s why we need you with us."

That wasn’t true, though, because with Iris with them, they really didn’t need anyone else to watch over them. And so Iris said to him, "As for me, tonight I’m their bodyguard. These two are really unique beings, and we can’t afford to lose them, so rest assured, ’Teacher Julian’, nothing will happen to them—I will take care of it personally."

Julian didn’t know what to think about this anymore. Liam had asked him personally to watch over Ashton and Yelena, promising him that he wouldn’t be disappointed by the show, but for him, they were still students of the Sun Sect and they shouldn’t have been here.

When Iris saw that this man was really worried about the safety of his students, she then said to him, "You see the man over there with a golden symbol on his forehead and a golden aura around him?"

Julian nodded and said then, "I never thought I would have the chance to see an Absolute Warrior in my life. Thanks to him, the victory is already almost assured."

Iris smirked and said to him, "Well, ’Teacher Julian’, I didn’t know you held us in such high regard."

Julian’s eyes widened after hearing this, and she confirmed to him, "Malo is my brother in arms, and I’m even more powerful than he is, so when I tell you that these two kids are really exceptional and that I’m going to protect them no matter what, take my word for it... And if you want to be useful, kill anyone you see with a black mark on their forehead; they are our real enemies."

Julian then closed his mouth, which he had opened so much as he had been surprised by this news, and he ended up just nodding before starting to observe the soldiers below them to try to find those who had a black mark on their forehead.

As the barrier was about to give way, Julian swore when he felt two super powerful auras appear right in front of them, and Iris then said to them as Colin destroyed the first strategic point, "Here we go; get ready, kids!"

Then it was Erik and Alan’s turn to do the show, and Julian’s eyes widened when he saw that Erik had also become an Absolute Warrior and that Alan had used a green laser beam made of light particles that had golden glitter inside to destroy the generator.

He then asked their ’bodyguard’, "What did Alan add to his light element? What is this golden glitter?"

But it was Ashton who quickly answered him, "Since Erik became a Warrior Spirit, Alan is able to use the divine energy, which is in a different layer than the spiritual energy, and these golden particles are what we call the Angelic divine element."

Julian barely had time to ponder the questions swirling in his mind, as it was their turn. At that moment, Ashton conjured three small balls of spiritual energy, quickly infusing them with water particles.

Meanwhile, Yelena combined her chakra with Ashton’s water balls. Then, Iris activated her Stage 2 Warrior Spirit skill, and the sheer magnitude of her power sent a shiver down Julian’s spine, causing every hair on his body to stand on end.

Iris motioned to him to look at Ashton and Yelena, who had just finished their preparation, and Ashton then sent his three water balls, charged with Yelena’s chakra, which were electric blue, against the generator that they had the mission to destroy. 𝕗𝕣𝐞𝐞𝘄𝐞𝚋𝚗𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗹.𝚌𝕠𝚖

The generator was destroyed immediately, and the five guards who were guarding it were seriously injured and thrown several meters away from where they were.
