Chapter 393: *Marry me*

Kelan looked at the clock on their nightstand, and it was already 3:30 a.m. He then said to him, "I think you should warn her of this possibility. Also, tell her what happened to me and that even if it’s not her sister in this dungeon, she isn’t necessarily dead; she may have been taken to the same prison as Connor, and she will have to be patient until we release all the prisoners that are in the Titans’ world."

Caleb then said to him, "That’s going to be a lot of information for her to take in all at once."

Kelan smiled and told him, "Don’t worry too much; she is our Queen. She is strong... and I think you should give her a long-distance communication stone. The guards won’t take the time to control her now; they will all be too preoccupied with the impending attack to think about that. After all, her room is already guarded day and night, and for them, it is impossible that someone could break in."

When he saw Caleb looking at him curiously, he added, "After what you are going to tell her, she might want to talk to someone..."

Caleb smiled then and said to him, "And by that someone, you mean Solomon, don’t you?"

Kelan raised himself up on his elbow and said to him, "These last few days, Solomon hasn’t even tried to hide his feelings for the Queen. She must be the only one still ignoring them... So, do you want to bet that he’s probably lying in his bed, playing with a communication stone in his hand, thinking about her?"

Caleb laughed then and told him, "I would never bet anything with you again because you always end up getting what you want."

He then asked him, still curious because Kelan was acting a little weird all of a sudden, "Do you want something?"

Kelan nodded and looked him straight in the eye before saying, "Marry me."

Caleb looked at him, surprised and a little taken aback. He really wasn’t expecting this, and even though they both knew they would end up getting married in the future, they had never really talked about it before.

Caleb stroked his waist and asked him, "Why this sudden request? I love you, Kelan, and you know I’ll end up marrying you, but why now?"

Kelan sighed and told him, "My two brothers are bound to their men by indestructible bonds... I’m so jealous of them."

He then added more seriously when he saw that Caleb was smiling at him in a way that told him to say what he really wanted to say, "I’m not afraid of this battle that’s going to happen in a few hours... But I’m afraid of what’s waiting for us afterward. I know you’ll give your life to protect Elias and Miguel, and you know I’ll give mine to protect my little brothers or their men. I don’t want to have any regrets... I want to be your husband, and I want to be able to share my happiness with everyone."

Caleb’s smile widened, and he told him while caressing his cheek, "How do you always make me fall in love with you again... Okay, Kelan, let’s get married, but I have to ask my General’s permission first. Don’t worry, though, he won’t refuse."

Kelan asked him, surprised, "You agree... Just like that?"

Caleb then smiled tenderly to him and said, "Don’t forget that you were the one asking me to marry you, so don’t you dare shy away when the time comes."

Kelan then kissed him, overjoyed, and said to him, hugging him tightly, "Nonsense, as if I could say no to you."

Caleb laughed, and after one last hug with Kelan, he said, "I’m going to follow your advice and go see Sora. Rest, my dear future husband; I’ll be back soon."

But Kelan held him back and asked him, "There is something I have been wanting to ask you since I learned you were a Warrior Spirit... Does the Queen know about you? How do you manage to get to her undetected, especially since we know for sure now that there are Titans... Axel even confirmed that there are 10 of them."

Caleb looked him in the eyes and said, "Sora is still unaware that I am a Warrior Spirit. Besides, for her, a Warrior Spirit is still this legendary warrior that you all call the Absolute Warrior."

Kelan then asked him curiously, "So, how do you manage to deceive the Titans?"

Caleb then said, "Sometimes having too much power is dangerous, and it’s better to be a shadow. Before I became a Warrior Spirit, I was like Kevin—an assassin, an untouchable shadow. My world was similar to his, at least for the mentality of the rulers who did everything to please the God that was in our world, even if it meant exterminating thousands of people.

When I became a Warrior Spirit and Elias took me under his wing, he taught me how to kill the Gods who ruled the worlds at that time. He then told me that the greatest strength a Warrior Spirit could have against a God was not his physical strength, because unless we attacked in numbers, we were always inferior to the strength of a God, but that we had to use our superior intelligence against them."

He saw Kelan raising an eyebrow and so he said to him, "Don’t look at me like that; the superior intelligence of Warrior Spirits has been proven for a long time."

He resumed then his story, "Elias told me that the Gods, no matter how powerful the force fields we could create to try to hide our presence, were completely useless, and that the Gods will always feel our power. He told me that sometimes to avoid detection, it was best to use shadows and move stealthily without using any powers."

Kelan looked at him with eyes full of admiration and said, "So to not get spotted, you only use your basic stats."

Caleb chuckled and said, "Kelan, even my basic stats are so high that no guard, not even the Titans, could ever spot me."
