Chapter 367: *What happened after I died ?*
He told them that he had to free the mother of the boy to whom this body belonged, and where he had been transmigrated, and that she was the Queen of the humans of this world.
He also told them that they had to free her sister, who was also held hostage in this palace. He explained that their other goal was the elimination of the Titans and the men who worked for a Goddess.
He then smiled as he saw that when his men heard the words "Titans" and "Goddess," a glimmer of excitement that they couldn’t hide appeared in their eyes.
Finally, he told them that it was necessary to get rid of the current King because, quite independently of his will, he had found himself with a mark on his chest which made him the rightful King of the humans here, and it was time for him to take his responsibilities, even though he didn’t want to.
Mathias then said to him while cracking his knuckles, "As I imagined, we won’t have time to get bored. I hope these Titans are tough as nails; it’s been a long time since we have all been together to fight. We’re ready !"
Once Kevin had finished explaining his plan in detail, Anthony, Theo, and Mason immediately joined Kerry, who was asking Caleb and Kelan for the information he needed, and Solomon then approached Kevin and asked him if they could go a little further to talk together.
Kevin followed him, and before Solomon could even begin, he immediately said to him, "Look, the reason I didn’t tell you about this earlier is that even though this body really belongs to the Queen and Xander’s son, he’s dead, and I have nothing to do with them. You understand, don’t you?"
Solomon nodded, but then said to him, "I’m aware of that, but the Queen may not see it that way. After all, you are in the body of her son, a son she has never had the opportunity to meet, and she will probably want to form some sort of bond with you when she finds out... Don’t reject her if she tries. She is a good person who cares for her people; you will see."
Kevin then said to him, "I can’t promise you anything until the war with the Titans is over, but afterwards, when we will be finally free to think about our future serenely, why not... why not..."
Kevin was just beginning to experience what it was like to have a family, and it was very pleasant. He then asked Solomon, as the latter had not broached the subject, "Does the Queen know about your feelings?"
Solomon smiled sadly at him and said, "Of course she doesn’t know. Sora only sees me as a kid, and the fact that demons stop aging when they reach 25 doesn’t help her to see me any differently. Plus, I’m a demon, so if she ever had to choose someone, I’m sure she wouldn’t even think of me."
Kevin smiled and said as he patted his shoulder, "Well, if you don’t even try, you won’t know. And as for you being a demon, Liam doesn’t seem to mind having a half-pure demon, half-Drakonit for a husband."
After that, Kevin went back to the others, and when everyone was satisfied with the information they had about the attack that was going to take place in two days, the demons went home with Ian and Liam.
Since Kevin’s men had decided to stay with them until the end of the battle and were very eager to try the gravity room and the dungeons they had heard about, they decided to go to a hotel near the palace to be closer to their target.
Mykael, for his part, wanted to brief Lucas on the situation with the Titans, and as Colin wanted to continue to absorb the golden pills that Mykael was preparing for him, they all went back to Mykael’s palace. As for Caleb, Erik, Ashton, and Yelena, they were all staying with the Lan family.
So when they finally found themselves in the living room of one of the suites Kevin had booked, it was just him, Axel, and his shadows, as he used to call them. He suddenly asked them, "Why was Lucas in our world? What happened after I died?"
Mathias then asked him, taking a quick look at Axel before telling him what had happened, "Does your husband know about our world?"
Axel then said to him, "I know his past; he has never hidden it from me, and he has already told me about your world, so you can go on."
Mathias then said to Axel, getting serious, "Try not to go crazy when I tell you what happened, ok?"
Axel frowned but nodded, and Mathias then began, "I was always trying to keep an eye on you and send reinforcements if the situation got out of hand, but two days before your death, I completely lost track of you, and no matter what we tried, we couldn’t find you."
He sighed and said, "So, as we couldn’t locate you anywhere, we looked for a gathering of mercenaries and soldiers, and when I finally sent some men to see if they were there for you, my men told me that the soldiers were piling up corpses, and that there were a lot of them. They told me that from the conversations they had managed to overhear, they discovered that you had been killed, but they couldn’t confirm this information because they hadn’t been able to find your body."
All of the shadows wore grave expressions as Mathias continued, "For me, it was impossible that you were dead, so I told them to keep looking, and the next day after your death, at noon, they finally exposed your corpse in the central square of the Capital."
A golden gleam appeared in Axel’s eyes, and Kevin, feeling his fury rise thanks to their link, took his hand and said to him using their telepathic link to communicate, "That’s all in the past, and I’m here with you now... I already warned you that my world was not a good place to live."
