Chapter 105: Chapter 107 Godly
After the acupuncture, the Old Princess Consort felt as though her entire body had been washed anew, soft and utterly fatigued, yet her eyes were not cloudy, instead, they sparkled brilliantly.
After Qin Liuxi left the Golden Needle in for a cycle and then removed it, she felt the longstanding heaviness lift from her body, feeling relaxed and at ease, and more importantly, she felt as if the sun was shining on her, warmly and comfortably.
This was only the first day of acupuncture, and she felt as if the cold poison was gone. She now believed Qin Liuxi’s words about healing in three days; she didn’t think she was being deceived at all.
"Is it time for the medicine bath now?" Old Princess Consort eagerly asked Qin Liuxi.
Qin Liuxi smiled and said, "You’ve sweated, so let’s rest a bit. Wait until the medicine is ready before soaking. Nanny, please wipe down Her Highness’s body first, and change her clothes; let’s not stick to the ones she’s in. I’ll go have the medicine prepared."
"Okay." Nanny Zhao rang a bell, instructing two chief maids to come in, then she sent Huan’er along with Qin Liuxi to oversee the preparation of the medicine bath while she helped the Old Princess Consort change.
Leaving the bedroom, Qin Liuxi saw Qi Qian outside holding tea, his eyelids slightly darkened, and she raised an eyebrow.
It seemed he had not slept well last night.
Qi Qian had put down his tea and stood up, asking, "Is the acupuncture done?"
"Yes. I’ve ordered the preparation of the medicated decoction, and after a medicine bath, today’s treatment will be complete, Commandery Prince, please make yourself comfortable." Qin Liuxi walked away with Huan’er.
Qi Qian intended to ask more, but he was also concerned about his grandmother, so he did not follow.
The main courtyard of the Old Princess Consort had a small kitchen that was never turned off, and preparing the medicinal decoction was just a matter of time.
Qin Liuxi checked the herbs and found no issues, thus she instructed the servant to start boiling. Half an hour later, the steaming decoction was ready and slightly cooled to an appropriate temperature for bathing, and then they invited the Old Princess Consort to soak.
According to what Qin Liuxi said, this medicine bath was not like any typical medicine bath; it was painful, very painful.
Before bathing, the Old Princess Consort thought, is it just a medicine bath, how painful can it be?
Upon entering the water, screams like that of a slaughtered pig echoed from the cleansing room.
The Old Princess Consort, almost in agony enough to faint, exclaimed: "!!"
If her fate indeed caused conflict and rejection among her kin, it would have been preferable to seek a Mage to suppress her Life Chart than to torment her in such a manner!
The medicinal potion was fiercely hot, the medicine’s strength felt like it was tunneling into her meridians via her pores, washing inch by inch, repeating the process.
Gasping for breath, the Old Princess Consort needed the grip of Nanny Zhao and Huan’er on each of her hands to not slide into the tub from weakness.
"Shall I recite some scriptures to soothe you a bit?" Qin Liuxi opened her mouth, complex Taoist Scriptures flowing elegantly from her lips, while her hands gently massaged and kneaded the neck of the Old Princess Consort.
Truly, truly comfortable!
Aside from gasping, the Old Princess Consort sighed, gritting her teeth to enjoy the intertwining torture of pain and relief.
In less than half an hour, the initially hot medicine bath had cooled down, Qin Liuxi withdrew her hands, "You may get up now."
The Old Princess Consort opened her eyes, puzzled, the water cooled so quickly?
"From the acupuncture toxin extraction to the bath, much of the coldness in your body has been removed; naturally, the water cools faster. Tomorrow it will not be as painful. The more the coldness is cleared, the less pain you will feel," Qin Liuxi explained with a smile.
The Old Princess Consort stepped out of the bathtub, still a bit dazed, the cold-poison that had weighed her down for years, which countless doctors couldn’t cure, was now mostly healed?
How, how miraculous!
