[Xx_CopyKing_xX: playing tdy?]
[vani118: nah i gotta head out somewhere maybe tmr]
[Xx_CopyKing_xX: hmm.]
[Xx_CopyKing_xX: then i’ll rank up without u]
[vani118: you can try lol]
"CopyKing again?" Toru asked, watching Isshun type on his phone.
"Not going to lecture me this time?" Isshun asked, giving Toru a smug glance.
"...No."
The previous day, Isshun had somehow produced over 60 pieces of evidence that CopyKing was still a student.
Though CopyKing could have been acting, the months-spanning evidence suggested they were committed to the bit. If there was even a small chance CopyKing wasn’t their age, Toru could only respect it.
"Anyway..." Toru ’smoothly’ changed the subject. "Are you going to just use your Quirk to get to Naruhata or use the subway?"
Isshun casually tossed his phone into the air before it suddenly disappeared. Right after, an indent could be seen in his pocket.
"What kind of person do you take me for? Obviously, I’m taking the subway. You do know unauthorized Quirk usage in public is illegal, right?"
"..."
Toru glanced around to check if anyone saw, but after seeing that the few people still in the classroom didn’t seem to be paying attention at all, she whipped her head back to Isshun, narrowing her eyes.
Yet all she saw was him giving a casual shrug, hands spread out to his sides.
"Proof?"
"..."
Toru fell silent but still fixed her glare on Isshun.
"...I curse you to run into Pop☆Step while you’re in Naruhata."
But Isshun’s expression only turned into a look of mock hurt.
"Wow, so you want me to die? How sad. After all I’ve done—"
"AHHH!"
Toru couldn’t handle it anymore, lunging toward Isshun in frustration.
’If I don’t get at least one hit off, I’ll die of frustration!’
Unfortunately for Hagakure Toru, hitting Shunkan Isshun could be considered a herculean task. Rather, it was basically impossible.
Just as Toru’s hand was about to grasp Isshun’s shirt, he smoothly backed up, creating a distance that felt close but impossible to cross.
After a few seconds of Isshun weaving through Toru’s attempts at teaching him a lesson, what resulted was a panting Toru and a relaxed Isshun next to her.
"Calm down, Toru. Heroes are supposed to be calm in the face of taunting. Think of it as training."
Isshun said casually, walking out of the classroom with a huffing Toru in tow.
"Any souvenirs you want from Naruhata?"
"Your suffering."
She said plainly.
"Not in stock, unfortunately."

’This place is more run-down than I thought.’
Isshun mused as he walked the streets of Naruhata. Maybe it was due to the recent Pop☆Step terrorist attack, but it felt like a ghost town.
Even though there were a decent number of civilians walking the streets, it felt like there was quite a bit of tension in the majority of the people’s faces.
Though...
’There sure are quite a few Pro Heroes walking around here.’
Unfortunately, the heroes themselves were unknown.
If a popular hero did show up here, maybe he’d get a photo and brag about it to Nejire or Toru.
A pity.
’Looking at this place really reminds me of that one hack of going to a place after a terrorist attack to get cheaper stuff...’
Unfortunately for Isshun, while not commonplace enough to happen every day, large-scale Villain attacks were pretty common wherever you went. That said, the scale of the attack still mattered when it came to discounts or a lack of tourists.
Exceptions may exist, but it was like this for the majority of the world. Maybe there was a bit of an exception for Japan due to All Might.
’Unlucky... though that sounds like I’m asking for more misfortune.’
He remembered the retro tech shop was quite a distance from where the subway dropped off.
There was also a pretty popular cafe for the locals, run by some pretty scary-looking people. Might as well take a look while he was here.

"Are ya really the buyer?"
An old man asked with an eyebrow raised at Isshun, who was still wearing his gakuran. And quite unusually, was wearing the gakusei-bō with the gakuran, which was exceedingly rare, considering the time period.
He might look older than his age due to his demeanor, but to the old man, Isshun was still a middle schooler. What business would a middle schooler be in buying old fuel cells?
"Yes, sir. Though I’m just running errands for my parents."
Isshun took one look at the old man and changed his approach.
A little bit of lying went pretty far if he didn’t want to waste time.
"...That so?"
The old man nodded, as if coming up with his own conclusions. "I’ll get the product out. Do you have enough money on you, kid?"
Isshun just casually shrugged. "Who knows. Depends on the quality of the product."
"..." The old man glanced back as he was walking to storage, skeptically watching for a few more seconds before finally getting out of sight.
’...How unfriendly.’
Isshun glanced over the rest of the tech shop, increasing the zoom of his Domain.
’This guy really just sells collectibles. All of the products here are pretty bad. I saw two working hydrogen fuel cells, but if he tries to sell me a dud...’
The old man walked out with two cylindrical objects in his hands. From the look of his tense arms, they obviously weighed a decent amount.
’So they are the real deal.’
Isshun thought, eyes wandering over the two fuel cells. Maybe judging someone by their demeanor was a little too much. He learned something new.
Maybe the old man was just the serious mechanic type.
"’Ere they are. Don’t know why your parents would be needing this junk though..." The old man rambled, setting the two fuel cells on the counter, a light thud accompanying it. "Even if you get it to work, the uses are pretty limited."
"They’re quite the tech enthusiasts." Isshun put on a polite smile. "Do you take online payment?"
"Sure do." The old man said, surprisingly taking out a phone that didn’t fit the vibe of the rest of the retro store. "200,000 yen."
Just as Isshun sent him the money, something unusual stirred at the edges of his now back-to-normal-sized Domain. It pulled his attention away from the shop.
’...Bees?’
Was it even bee season?
And Naruhata was a pretty urban area.
"You need something to help carry em? They’re pretty hefty..." The old man trailed off, watching Isshun casually pick them up and set them into the school bag as if they weighed nothing.
"No need." Isshun shook his head, readjusting his cap and bowing towards the old man. "Thank you for the service, sir."
"...Yeh. Come back if your parents need something else."
Isshun walked away, holding his school bag in one hand like it weighed nothing.
After all... the fuel cells were no longer even in this dimension.
’Well... it is a Quirk world. The bees are probably controlled by something.’
Isshun shrugged, making his way to that cafe run by some unique-looking people. The pictures on social media even showed a person who looked like a praying mantis.
That looked pretty interesting.
And so was the group of four in a warehouse one kilometer to his southwest.
One of them even looked pretty familiar. If he remembered correctly... that was The Crawler, wasn’t it?
Now that he thought about it, wasn’t it The Crawler who was with Captain Celebrity back at the Sky Egg?
’...Should I try to get a photo and brag to Toru?’
"Decisions, decisions..."
