Chapter 65: Homemade Bomb
After all, he himself was also the kind of person who instinctively considered the worst possible outcome in every situation.
However, having people follow him around through private messages just to dump their emotions onto him made Joo Joowon extremely annoyed.
Once a player was blacklisted, they would no longer be able to see any products he listed for sale.
Perhaps they could still obtain information indirectly through other players, but as long as they did not receive it directly from him, that was enough.
There was a huge difference between wanting to be a good person and wanting to be a saint.
Joo Joowon considered himself neither especially generous nor tolerant.
He had never developed the habit of offering his face for others to slap.
[ System Notification: Your blacklist is full. It is recommended that you clear offline players to free up available slots. ]
"Filled up this quickly?"
Joo Joowon could not help feeling surprised.
The number of blacklist slots available to players in the trading platform was actually very large.
Level 1 players had one thousand blacklist slots.
Level 2 players had two thousand.
Level 3 players had four thousand.
Level 4 players had eight thousand.
Yet all eight thousand slots had already been used up so quickly?
Joo Joowon had not manually blacklisted people one by one.
Instead, he had simply filtered and blocked players based on insulting keywords found within private messages.
He genuinely had not expected that even after the apocalypse arrived, there would still be so many people with enough free time to do this sort of thing.
He opened the blacklist menu and took a look.
The interface displayed: (5364 / 8000)
In other words, among the eight thousand players currently on the blacklist, more than two thousand were already offline.
And in this real world game, being offline only meant one thing.
Death.
Joo Joowon unconsciously pressed his lips together as he felt alarmed by the game’s death rate.
Although there were still billions of people left on Gaia, and even after accounting for those who had transformed into zombies there were probably still more than a billion survivors remaining, if the death rate continued at this speed, humanity would likely head toward extinction within only a few years.
No longer in the mood to look at the blacklist, Joo Joowon directly exited the menu.
Then he noticed that TheMadScientist had sent him a private message.
[ @TheMadScientist: You are amazing, Boss! Can you tell me how strong a Lord Rank Boss actually is? I’ll trade you a homemade earth bomb for the information! ]
Joo Joowon’s eyes immediately lit up.
He suddenly found himself looking at TheMadScientist in a completely new light.
This guy really seemed to have an endless supply of good items.
[ @Ashfall: The Molotov cocktails you made helped a lot. Since every Chimera Zombie is formed from different fused species, their strength can’t really be measured accurately. The only thing I can say is that their health pools are absurdly thick. Ridiculously thick. If you’re relying solely on Molotov cocktails, then assuming the flames continue burning without going out, a Boss can probably remain active and fighting for anywhere between thirty minutes to an hour even while on fire. The flames produced by Molotov cocktails were not easy to extinguish. However, as long as the correct method was found, putting them out was not impossible either. As a result, the killing power of Molotov cocktails was still somewhat insufficient. They might work well enough against Elite monsters. Against Bosses, however, they were still too weak. ]
[ @TheMadScientist: Got it! Thanks, Boss Ashfall! I’ve already listed the bomb on the trading platform. Be careful when using it. The blast radius is roughly ten meters. It’s best to stay as far away as possible! ]
Joo Joowon took out the homemade earth bomb designated for trade by TheMadScientist and examined it carefully.
The bomb consisted of an IV bottle, explosives, shrapnel fragments, a fuse, and a rubber stopper.
Its appearance looked incredibly crude and simple.
However, Joo Joowon did not dare underestimate the destructive power hidden inside such a primitive looking device in the slightest.
Joo Joowon remembered that back in his hometown, the police had once caught several people using homemade explosives to blast fish ponds.
The explosives they used were very similar to this kind of crude bomb and the destructive power had been absolutely terrifying.
Without exaggeration, if Molotov cocktails applied a damage over time debuff to enemies, then a crude bomb was the equivalent of landing a direct headshot attack.
One bomb thrown over could instantly blow a zombie into pieces on the spot.
No matter how thick a zombie’s health bar might be, if its body was blown apart into scattered chunks, then it would no longer pose any threat to players.
Unfortunately, there was only a single bomb available.
Judging from the seller’s attitude, unless they urgently needed some specific item, they probably would not put more crude bombs on the market in the future.
That meant this thing could only be treated as a trump card reserved for critical moments.
After carefully putting away the dangerous weapon, Joo Joowon finally turned his attention toward the equipment section of the marketplace.
There were still very few players genuinely willing to trade equipment.
The asking prices were also extremely high.
And almost all of the equipment available consisted of beginner gear.
A few unlucky players had listed duplicate beginner equipment that they had obtained multiple times.
Joo Joowon even spotted one particularly unfortunate individual who had listed three pairs of shoes in a row.
The player was not asking for supplies.
They only wanted to exchange them for different equipment.
After looking at the trade request, Joo Joowon fell silent for a moment.
Was this person a centipede in their previous life or something?
Three days had passed, and aside from shoes, they had not obtained a single other piece of equipment.
Seeing someone that unlucky made Joo Joowon feel that he himself could almost be considered a lucky player.
