Even if customer service had revealed nothing else, that single sentence alone was already enough.
To the game’s creators, what exactly did a god tier player represent?
From Gaia’s perspective, god tier players were the kinds of players game companies valued and maintained carefully.
They were usually extremely hardworking and willing to spend heavily.
Those two traits might not matter much to the apocalypse game itself.
After all, in an apocalypse game, what player would dare remain casual and refuse to grind?
However, god tier players also served another purpose.
They attracted followers.
They had the potential to become widely influential beyond the game itself.
Other players also trusted them deeply.
That was why many games invited such players to participate in offline experiences and beta testing whenever new features were released.
Sometimes, the developers even listened to their opinions directly.
For the age of apocalypse, god tier players might not be quite that important, but perhaps they were still worthy of receiving a few extra glances from whatever existed behind the game.
As for the phrase "recorded in the history of the game," if Joo Joowon had guessed correctly, the customer service was essentially telling him that this was an opportunity to become one of the game’s own loyal servants.
It sounded somewhat unpleasant.
But if news of such an opportunity spread, the vast majority of people probably would not refuse it at all.
Joo Joowon had long since passed the age of indulging in fantasies.
His years as an exhausted office worker had taught him clearly that some people were born to live like beasts of burden.
If he truly had a chance to escape the identity of an ordinary player, then he did not care whether it meant becoming someone else’s dog or not.
Because of that, he had already made up his mind.
No matter what, he would become someone recorded in the history of the game, even if he still did not understand how to achieve it yet.
The amount of information hidden in customer service’s final sentence was also enormous.
The shop only unlocked at Level 10.
That meant the game officials believed players at Level 10 would finally possess enough purchasing power to spend money inside the shop, rather than remain poor people with only a few copper coins like they were now.
But why Level 10 specifically?
The answer was the class system!
Th current players had no skills and most people had not even equipped beginner gear yet.
Therefore, Level 10 was clearly the dividing line between beginners and real players.
It was equivalent to finally leaving the beginner village and gaining the qualifications to explore the outside world.
That also likely meant most game functions would unlock after reaching Level 10.
The logic was very simple.
Even if players changed classes into mages, warriors, or other professions after Level 10, how much money could they actually earn just by killing monsters?
There would never be enough bosses dropping silver or gold coins for players to farm endlessly.
Therefore, if players wanted to make money, they would need other methods.
Forging equipment.
Brewing potions.
Cooking food.
Or perhaps even entering dungeons.
And if players wanted to do those things, then they would need a stable trading location.
In games, such places were usually called main cities or beginner villages.
No.
The age of apocalypse was definitely not one of those mindless hack and slash games.
Its overall tone clearly leaned toward darkness and despair.
Based on the usual style of games like this, the officials probably would not personally establish safe zones or beginner villages themselves.
Otherwise, they would have done so the moment the game launched.
So that meant...
Village Creation Tokens?!
That was right.
It had to be Village Creation Tokens.
The game itself might not build settlements, but it had never stated that players could not build their own.
After organizing all the information he had obtained from customer service, Joo Joowon finally let out a long breath.
Only then did he seriously begin browsing through the Marketplace.
During the time he had spent writing down theories while thinking, the previously empty Marketplace had already become lively and crowded.
The Marketplace platform was completely controlled by players.
Everything listed there had been uploaded by players themselves.
Since the Marketplace currently charged no transaction fees, the players quickly discovered ways to communicate through it.
They simply listed useless items like rocks or furniture, then wrote messages in the item descriptions.
Most of these appeared inside the auction section because the auction area allowed comments, while the regular trading section only allowed fixed prices.
Bargaining required private messages there, making it impossible for everyone to discuss together.
The auction section was different.
Players could list items at ridiculously high prices while using the descriptions to discuss what they actually wanted to trade for, so the comment section beneath the listings became extremely lively.
