Chapter 831

Anton didn’t know anyone in the Oakswood Village. When he woke up after his transmigration, he hardly spent any time in the village. He just stayed on their farm and in the surrounding forest, hunting animals for food and to practice his spell casting with his Diablo II spells. The fact that he just recently transmigrated meant that he didn’t even know his father and his sister very well.

Thankfully, his lack of knowledge was accepted by both his father and his sister, and even by the villagers, since his case wasn’t unique. There was some sort of sickness that spread towards the village and the surrounding farms, and most of those who were affected died. Those who survived lost their memories, and there were only a very few of them who did.

Anton remembered his theory that the survivors were also transmigrators, and he would have tried to know them, but the need for them to run away from the attack of the undead suddenly occurred. By then, the only thing on Anton’s mind was to use his transmigration powers to make sure that he and his family survived the escape.

Anders and Anna ran toward the village, and several people met with them. Everyone had joyful expressions on their faces. The fact that they had survived a calamity was something worth celebrating.

Unfortunately, based on Anton’s observations, there was a severe lack of food in the village. Everyone looked gaunt, and he saw that some of the children looked malnourished.

Anton remained an observer since he didn’t know the people that Anders and Anna were talking with. Apparently, there were only four families that survived, but in Anders and Anna’s book, that alone was something that would let them praise the divines for a while.

Anton saw his father calling him. Anders then introduced him to the villagers and reminded them that he was a survivor of the “Forgetful Plague”. The villagers nodded their understanding since they all knew about the strange sickness that had happened before the attack of the Undead Coalition.

He then overheard Anna telling her two surviving friends that she had become a wizard and actually cast some simple magic to impress them. Everyone was startled when Anna suddenly cast magic spells, that Anders glared at his daughter.

“I’m sorry about that, Moran. My daughter is still young. She became a wizard during our stay in Rendindura. As a matter of fact. I’ve also learned to cast some spells. I’m particularly skilled in casting healing spells,” Anton’s father told the man, who suddenly looked afraid.

“You can cast spells, Anders? That’s great! You can heal our sick, then,” Another man said.

“Yes. Gather everyone in the village hall so I can heal them. I can also provide food for everyone,” Anders told them.

That statement from Anton’s father made the families that were gathered before Anders extremely excited. The people who were looking at them, who weren’t part of the original village, suddenly looked anxious. Anton believed that they thought that Anders would only provide healing and food to those he knew.

“Please tell all the villagers that I will be providing healing and food to all of them,” Anders announced.

The people surrounding Anders led him to the largest structure in the village. Unfortunately, half of the building was still destroyed, but they could still use the other half of the building.

Anton saw that Anna was now surrounded by several young people her age. Based on the conversation that he overheard Anna was having with her friends, she only knew two of them; the rest came from other villages. The two girls were admiring Anna’s clothes and jewelry. In truth, Anton thought that his sister looked like those rich celebrities on television who visited rural villages in Africa. She looked extremely healthy with her glowing skin, luxurious hair, and beautiful clothes, while the village teenagers looked like what they were, survivors of a grim holocaust that was the Undead Coalition.

He didn’t worry about the village anymore. With them there, it was inevitable for the village to thrive.

After observing his sister and her friends for a while, Anton headed towards where his father went with the intention of helping Anders with whatever he could, but when he arrived, he saw that his father was capable of dealing with everything.

Anders was now healing the villagers one by one, and once they were healed, he would provide a huge amount of food to them. Anton was just surprised that Anders stored a lot of uncooked food in his spatial storage item, like rice, wheat, and oat grains, flours, vegetables, fruits, eggs, uncooked meat of different kinds like pork, beef, and chicken, and even different drinks like milk, alcohol, and fruit juices. 𝘧𝘳𝘦ℯ𝓌𝘦𝒷𝘯𝑜𝑣𝘦𝓁.𝒸𝘰𝓂

Apparently, his father was well prepared in providing the necessities that would greatly help people in need, unlike Anton, who only had cooked food in his inventory. He thought that his father and Anna were the same as him. Only storing cooked food and drinks, but he was mistaken.

Anders and Anna only knew very few families in the village, but they intended to help everyone there. There weren’t too many families in the village, but more than likely, the news that rich and powerful spell casters were now there to help the village would spread everywhere, and that would gather a lot more people in Oakswood.

Anton heard his father promising everyone that he wouldn’t leave the village, not until it was thriving. Anders even promised Anton’s Mana Rain, telling everyone that his son would cast magic over the fields that would cause the farm produce to grow extremely fast. All of the people there had shining eyes. Their faces were now full of hope.

He was a little nervous because the villagers had started looking at his father like he was some sort of deity.

Anton’s supposition was correct. By evening, the village population exploded. The villagers had started calling his father the food god, which amused him. The other funny part was that all the young people gathered towards Anna, who kept showing off her ability to cast spells and kept giving out food as well. She even started healing her friends since she was also a high-level Paladin.

By evening, the villagers used their common sense and spread the information that it was time for Anders and Anna to rest. It seemed to Anton that they had forgotten about him, but that didn’t bother him at all. He was happy that Anders and Anna looked joyful in helping their previous neighbors.

Anton, Anders, and Anna then went to where their farm was located. Surprisingly, their farmhouse was still there, although most of the buildings were destroyed. What they were most joyful about was that Anders’s wife's grave remained untouched. With the command from their father, Anton and Anna used Telekinesis to dig their mother’s grave. Anders planned to burn his wife’s corpse and follow Anton’s suggestion of putting the ashes into an urn so they could transfer the remains to their home in the Rose Manor in Ormunda.

“What do you want to do with the farm, Father?” Anton asked Anders after they were done handling Anders’s wife's remains.

“Just leave it be. Maybe some other families would stay here.”

“Don’t you want to…I don’t know…fix the buildings or something?”

“No. Just leave them be.”

After that, they retrieved their tiny houses and placed them beside their previous mother’s grave. They planned to stay the night there.

They were just glad that Cormanur had already left and returned to Ormunda, giving them privacy in their reunion with the Oakswood villagers.
