Chapter 807
The name of the new member was Farijas. He was a Supreme Wizard from New Drennor. Anton learned that a bunch of wizards from the Gale Continent were assigned to Nermador. Basically, it confirmed the fact that the Ormundan and New Drennor wizard had established a portal connection between the two continents.
According to the file that the captain had shared with everyone about Farijas, the supreme wizard was considered a genius, having attained the Supreme Rank at the age of thirty-six a couple of years ago.
Just like any of the wizards that fight against the Undead Coalition in Amendora, the reason why Farijas wanted to join in the fight was that he wanted revenge. The coalition destroyed his family, who were located in the place in New Drennor that the undead had conquered, and none of his family members survived.
According to Farijas’s files, his potential was great, and the New Drennor higher-ups would prefer that he remained in New Drennor so he could grow more in power, but like Anton, the mage was willful. Like Anton, Farijas was also planning to sneak into Rendindura to join in the fight against the undead in their home continent, so instead of blocking the young mage, the New Drennor wizards just allowed him to go, but he had to join with the wizards of Nermador.
It was now time for Farijas to share his abilities with them, so for the rest of the day, he discussed with Team Gorvin his abilities as a Supreme Rank mage. Based on Anton’s understanding of wizards’ capabilities, Farijas would be the weakest wizard on the team, which was understandable since he was also the youngest, aside from Anton, who was basically a freak compared to other wizards.
When it was the rest of the teams' turn to introduce their abilities to Farijas, the mage was flabbergasted to learn about Anton, who was the first one to share his abilities simply because he was the last one to enter the team.
Farijas was further surprised when he learned that the portal scrolls originated from Anton.
“Why are you here! Ormunda should not have allowed you to reach this place!” Farijas exclaimed, and everyone laughed, including Anton.
“They did try to keep me in my manor in Ormunda, but I sneaked out. I managed to reach a gate that headed to Rendindura, so now I’m here.”
“The wizards of Ormunda had decided to let Anton be, since as master of portals and teleport, there was simply no way for them to keep him in Ormunda without resorting to extreme measures. As you know, they still needed his portal scrolls, and it would be hard to coerce an unwilling Supreme Rank wizard,” Captain Joraniah said.
“Besides, the divine rank wizards from Ormunda and New Drennor were prideful beings, and they didn’t want it to be known that they were dependent on a Supreme Rank wizard for such an important item. They were now all hard at work to crack the magic behind the portal scroll. I received information that they should be able to crack it any day now,” Helena said.
After that comment from Helena, Anton continued telling Farijas his abilities, which culminated in the Mithril Tablets that he had recently created. Anton almost laughed out loud when he saw Farijas’s jaws were opened once he was done. The captain saw that the new addition to their team probably had a lot of questions for Anton, but Captain Joraniah simply gave him one of the Tablets of Survival Spells that Anton had made. The captain described to him the four spells inscribed within the tablet in detail and taught the mage how to use the tablet. After that, the others started telling Farijas their abilities.
The meeting took the whole day, just like Anton’s introduction meeting. After that, the captain told everyone that their next mission would be in two days. IN the meantime, everyone would start training with Farijas except for Anton, who was tasked to create more of the Mithril Tablets of Defensive spells.
For the next two days, Anton spent his time creating Mithril tablets of Defensive spells. It actually only took him a few hours to complete twenty-seven of them. He planned to give seven of the tablets to the captain and keep the rest as a buffer in case any needed replacement tablets. The rest of the time was spent in Anton leveling up his Assassin ladder character. By the time the captain called him for a meeting to tell everyone what their next mission was, Anton reached level sixty-three on his Amazon ladder character.
While going to the meeting room, Anton also thought about which item he would transfer from the game to the real world by reaching the maximum level of his Barbarian character. He needed it to be done soon, or else the chance would disappear once the season ended. He decided to just transfer the Warlock Hellfire Torch that he had managed to find. It actually took him a long time hunting for the said torch.
The mission that they received was a joint mission with four other teams. They were to attack an Undead Coalition that had recently been established to the southwest of Nermador. According to the reports, a gate was successfully created on that base. That base needed to be destroyed, and a spatial de-stabilizer needed to be hidden deep in that location to make sure that a dimensional gate could not be established anymore.
The captain told them that each team would be given a Mithril Tablet of Survival Spells so that everyone would be under the cover of the Cloak of Shadows spells. When Captain Joraniah asked his team for those who would volunteer to lend the tablets, Anton had to laugh when everyone avoided looking at Captain Joraniah.
The captain glared at Anton. He apologized by handing four of the twenty Mithril Tablets that Anton had in his inventory.
“How many tablets do you have?!” Mishos asked, and Anton simply ignored the wizard.
The five team would leave during the night since the Cloak of Shadows spell was more effective under the cover of darkness. Each of the team members would use different routes and would meet somewhere near the base.
Since it was still early in the morning, Captain would need to meet with one of the teams to show them the tablet and teach them how to use it. The other team members would go to the other three teams.
The rest would simply wait in the base. Since Farijas and Anton weren’t included in those who would reach out to other teams, the new member asked to speak with Anton. Farijas was simply curious about his ability, especially the fact that Anton had attained his power at such a young age.
Anton declined and told the mage that he was in the process of creating new tablets that the team might be able to use, but in truth, Anton just wanted to spend the rest of the time leveling up his Diablo II ladder character, simply because he only had a short amount of time to level up the remaining characters before the season ended.
He was just glad that Farijas wasn’t offended and told him that the mage understood the need to empower the team. Once he was in his room, Anton didn’t waste any more time and focused on leveling up his Assassin ladder character.
