Chapter 54: NEW REVELATION
Felicia panicked. "I am at the lady’s room. I have an upset stomach, Adrain. I think there was something wrong with the cake", she said trying to sound as casual as possible.
"And you couldn’t inform me about it? Why weren’t you picking up your phone then, I have been calling you for the past 40 minutes now", Adrain’s voice toned down a bit when he heard that she had an upset stomach. No matter how much they fight, she was still his wife and he needed to take care of her.
"I switched off my phone because the battery was about to run down", she blurted out the only thing she could think of, hoping that Adrain would just believe her and not ask anymore questions and luckily for her, he did.
"Alright, I am going to wait for your outside the lady’s room. Tell me if you need anything", he said and after Felicia replied, he hung up on the call and started heading towards the lady’s room.
Felicia released the breath she didn’t realize she had been holding in since she picked up the call. It was a good thing he believed me, she said to herself and starting retouching her make up before Adrain arrived outside. She came out after she was done.
"You look so sweaty. Are you okay now?" Adrian asked as soon as she came out. Felicia has sprinkled some water on her face to make her story look more believable.
"Yes, I am. Just a little dizzy", she replied.
"Here, have some water", Adrain handed her a glass of water that he was holding and she took it and drank.
"You can go home if you want. I still need to try to see if I can find the CEO of Walters corporations", he suggested but Felicia shook her head.
"Am not going anywhere. We are going to leave together", she replied. She was able to get a handsome hunk but her eyes were still aiming for the one she had seen earlier.
Adrain only nodded and when he was sure that Felicia was doing "alright", he left to go make friends. Felicia sighed in relief when Adrain finally left her side. She looked around the area, searching for the man she saw downstairs earlier when she was standing upstairs.
Felicia searched hard among the crowd until her eyes spotted him speaking with Mr Gustavo. He is really handsome, she thought to herself. She kept staring at him lovingly, watching his every move but frowned deeply when she saw him whispering something in a lady’s ear and the lady smiled.
That face looks familiar, she said to herself and on a closer look, she realized that it was Erika. How did Erika know that guy? Why was he whispering something to her? Are they together?
A lot of questions were flooding in her head as her frown deepened more and more. Without realizing, she had squeezed her fist so tightly that her knuckles had turned white. She needed to find out tonight so she continued watching them but the more she watched them, the more her suspicion became true.
Felicia’s heart squeezed in anger and she could feel her blood boiling also. They are in a relationship? She didn’t know who that man was but he looked super rich. She stopped a waiter who was attending to the guests, she casually took a champagne and asked the waiter,
"Hey, do you see that man who is speaking with Mr Gustavo over there? Who is he?"
The waiter followed the direction of her pointed finger and replied,
"He is Ethan Anderson, CEO of the Anderson Corporations".
Felicia had heard about the Anderson corporations but never had the chance to meet the CEO in person. She waved the waiter away and he left to continue his work. Felicia took out her phone and searched to know more about him.
She read the basic information about him but then she saw the trending pictures attached to his profile info, she clicked the pictures and when the pictures downloaded, her mouth opened in shock.
They were pictures that were taken by the press earlier when Ethan and Erika arrived at the red carpet. Several pictures were taken and she read headline;

And with it were other many pictures attached to it, starting from when Ethan helped her out of the car to the part where Erika replied to the reporter’s question, it was also attached to it.
Felicia clicked every picture until the end. And when she was done, she glared at Erika from the distance and if looks could kill, then Erika would be 6 feet under already.
Erika who was listening to what Mr Gustavo was saying felt a sharp look directed towards her and when she turned to face the person, her eye contact met with Felicias’. She smiled at her before looking away.
"Uncle, it’s late. I think it’s time for us to leave already", Ethan said after reading the time on his wristwatch.
The old man sighed sadly, "Ugh.... time does fly when you are enjoying yourself".
The both of them felt sad for him, his children were not here to celebrate with him until the end. Only acquaintances and friends but they would eventually leave when the party was over.
"Okay uncle, we will leave now but we will definitely come to visit again", Erika said to Mr Gustavo.
"You promise?"
"I promise".
The both of them were escorted by him till the main exit of the villa, he waved them bye and entered back inside.
Adrain who saw the both of them leaving, couldn’t help but glare at Erika’s entwined hands with Ethan and he felt mixed emotions. He waved it off and asked the man beside him who was dressed in an expensive suit and asked,
"Excuse me, do you know where the CEO of the Walters corporations is?"
The man looked around until he saw Ethan and Erika who were outside waiting for their car to arrive.
"She is over there, the lady standing beside Ethan Anderson. Her name is Erika Walters", he revealed.
Adrain quickly turned his head to the direction that the man was giving him and he saw that Erika and Ethan were already entering their car.
