Chapter 385: REUNION?

"It took you long enough to bring my son to me," Felicia remarked, her eyes on Jake who was staring at her with an expression that made it impossible for her to read his mind or have a hint of what he was thinking about.

Her eyes surveyed his clothes, taking in the fancy-looking but expensive-looking sneakers he was wearing.

"You even dolled him up for this special reunion, Erika," Felicia added, her eyes leaving Jake to make eye contact with Erika. "But why did it take you so long to bring my son to me?!" She demanded.

Erika sighed with a slight smirk on her lips before she replied. "You are in no position to ask that question, Felicia. You should be lucky that I agreed to bring him here but don’t think I brought him here as per your request. I only did so because I wanted to."

Felicia snorted before beckoning Jake to come close to her but the little boy sat still, looking elsewhere without even acknowledging her presence.

Annoyed, Felicia called him.

"Jake, come here."

Jake didn’t even turn to look at her but instead faced Erika and said,

"Mum, can we go now? John is going to be teaching me a new game that he plays with Luca when he gets home from school today so can we go now?"

Felicia glared at Erika as if a thunderstorm had just struck her.

"Erika is not your mother, Jake, I am. So you should only call me mother, do you understand me?" She demanded an answer from him.

Slightly frustrated by Felicia’s voice, Jake turned towards her and looked at her. His eyes were so plain, no emotion could be found in them as he stared at her compared to when he was talking to Erika which only made her blood boil.

’Erika has not only stolen all the men I loved, but she has also stolen my son!’ She yelled in her mind.

"Yes you are my mother but I don’t consider you as my mother. My real mum is Erika and she’s the only one I consider a mother," Jake responded while still wearing the same plain expression.

Stunned, Felicia didn’t realize when she tilted her head with a confused expression written all over her face.

"How dare you speak to me like that?" Felicia demanded with rage, attempting to grab Jake by the arm forcefully from across the table but Erika immediately interfered, grabbing her wrist in a tight grip.

"I’m pretty sure you are neither deaf nor dumb to understand what my son said, Felicia. Touch him and I will make sure that your stay in the prison would be unbearable."

Erika swatted her hand away and Felicia slightly lost balance but she quickly steadied her stance by grabbing the table in the nick of time.

"It’s very obvious that Jake doesn’t want to be here anymore so we will be going now. But before I go, I want to tell you something. Adrain is dead. He died a few days ago in prison so you should be careful here, Felicia, you could be next."

Without waiting for a remark from Felicia, Erika grabbed Jake’s hand and left the visiting area, leaving Felicia only to be able to glare at her since that was the only thing she could do. But at the same time, she also held a surprised look on her face.

"Adrain is dead?" She mumbled under her breath, unable to believe what she had just heard. "That’s impossible, he can’t be dead. Erika is lying again, as always."

Her fists were clenched tightly and the thought of not having any power to teach Erika a lesson seemed only to want to drive her crazy.

Resisting the urge to yell out loud like a mad woman on drugs, she obediently went inside the cell rooms without waiting for one of the wardens to remind her of it, and as she had expected, the whole cell room was completely tumbled over.

She smirked, knowing exactly what the reason could be but she decided to feign innocence and asked one of the inmates who wasn’t a follower of Madam Laura but a slave, just like her.

"What happened here?" She asked, while her eyes stared at the items thrown on the floor.

"Madam Laura has lost her phone so everyone is looking for it. I suggest you go look for it now because if you don’t, you might become the prime suspect since you were the one that cleaned her cell room the last time," the inmate suggested and walked inside her cell room.

Felicia shrugged and did as the inmate had suggested. She walked inside her cell room and found the whole place scattered but she wasn’t one bit surprised about it. Instead, she revealed a slight smirk on her lips that no one saw. 𝚏𝐫𝚎𝗲𝕨𝐞𝐛𝕟𝚘𝐯𝚎𝗹.𝕔𝐨𝗺

Felicia took a deep breath and mumbled, "Action."

"Who was the one that scattered my cell room?" She questioned. "What could that person be looking for that they didn’t wait for me to come back and ask me first before they did this?"

She started picking up her clothes that flew north and south, trying to gather them all as she continued to complain.

"Whoever did this is going to arrange my clothes. I didn’t fold them properly just for them to be on the floor."

Immediately those words left her lips, she got a reply.

"Are you going to make me arrange your clothes then?"

Felicia smiled faintly before she turned and made eye contact with Madam Laura who was glaring at her with red eyes.

"Answer me! Will you make me arrange your clothes for you Felicia?" Madam Laura repeated.

"Oh, you were the one that scattered them? What were you looking for? You could have waited for me to come back first and you wouldn’t have needed to go through this stress."

As soon as those words left her lips, a slap landed on her cheek which made them go numb.
