Chapter 359: CONSCIENCE
"But when will we be going back to New York?" Felicia asked after some time passed. "I’m sure they trust the nanny and she has been feeding us with all the information we need."
"Let’s go back during the weekend," Adrain replied. "Jude said they would be going to the beach to spend their weekend so I think that would be the right time to dive right in," he added whilst his attention was still on the television.
Felicia smiled, satisfied with Adrain’s reply. "The weekend is only two days away, we need to start preparing for our trip back to New York."
"That won’t be necessary since we don’t have many things to take with us back to New York."
Felicia abruptly stood up and said,
"What do you mean by that? I will be seeing Ethan once again, I need to look pretty for him, you know."
Adrain sighed but didn’t respond to her comment. Later on, Felicia walked towards a door, opened it, and closed it behind her after she entered the open space.
When he couldn’t feel her presence anymore, Adrain released a huge sigh of relief that calmed his nerves immediately.
"Time for us to see each other again, Erika. I’m sure you look even more beautiful now," he commented. Pulling out his phone, he searched for her picture that he’d kept in his gallery.
Erika was wearing a red gown that accentuated her body curves. From the background of the picture, it seemed like a party. The picture had been taken at the award ceremony many years ago when Erika was the CEO of the Walters corporation in the California branch.
He’d sneakily taken the picture because he couldn’t help himself when he saw how beautiful she looked at the party compared to Felicia.
He caressed the screen of his phone with a gentle but devious smile on his lips.
"You will be mine Erika and Ethan will be no more and as for your children, I don’t know what I might do to them. It hurts me to see that you got married to that man and still ended up giving birth to children for him. But don’t worry, I’m not too angry at you," He caressed the picture one more time and kept it back in his pocket.

"Which shirt are you wearing to the beach?" A boy, not older than three years old, with black hair with blue eyes asked his brother who looked exactly like him but the only difference was that John carried some kind of aura that a kid his age shouldn’t carry.
"My shirt obviously," John replied.
Luca sighed before matching towards his big brother and tapping him on his shoulder.
"I know you will be wearing your shirt, obviously," he said in the same tone as his big brother "but what I want to know is which color of shorts you would be wearing. The blue or the black one?" He asked.
"The black one," John replied after a few heartbeats.
"Then it’s the black one I will also wear," Luca said and started looking for his black shirt, not minding his brother who was giving him an unsatisfied stare.
"Do you have to wear everything that I wear?" John couldn’t help but ask.
"Of course. We are twins and twins should dress up like each other," Luca replied. "Found it," he commented after he found the black shirt he was searching for. "Stop looking at me and hurry up. If you dare delay us, I will tell Mom and Dad to leave you here alone."
Without waiting for John’s reply, Luca walked out of the door while John sighed once more.
Jude, the nanny that had been hired by Erika to help her take care of the children walked inside the room and called John.
"John, why aren’t you dressed up yet? I just saw Luca and he’s all ready to go," she asked him.
"I can’t find the black shirt I will be wearing," he replied and continued to look for his black shirt.
Jude sighed and assisted him. She found the same shirt that Luca was wearing and said. "I’ve found it, now go change quickly."
"I don’t want that shirt. I don’t want to wear the same clothes as him. I want the other black shirt that has the Batman logo imprinted on it."
Jude sighed one more time and resumed her search for the shirt with the Batman imprinted logo. As she searched, her hands shook in fear.
John noticed it and asked her, "Why are your hands shaking?"
"Oh, I’m just feeling a little cold that’s all. But I will get better in a while, hmm?" She tried to convince him and when he didn’t say anything else about her shaking hands, she sighed in relief and brought out the black shirt that he wanted to wear to the beach. "Now please go change quickly," she said and left the room.
Walking downstairs, she heard someone call her name.
"Jude, please help me put these containers of food in the car," Erika requested and Jude nodded immediately and started doing as she was told.
When Jude was about to lift the container, she felt her hands give away and the container fell back down on the table.
"Are you okay?" Erika quickly asked with a worry-filled tone. She scanned her eyes around the nanny to be sure she was okay.
"I’m fine, mam. I just didn’t expect the container to be heavy," she replied with her eyes lowered to the ground.
"Are you sure that’s all?" Erika asked to be sure and Jude nodded.
"That’s all mam. I will be extra careful." Jude lifted the container headed towards the car that was outside and placed it inside the booth. "I don’t want to do this thing they are asking me to do. My conscience won’t be able to handle it if I do what they are asking me to do."
Without wasting another second, Jude brought out her phone to make a phone call.
