Chapter 251: RANTING

"Do you think that I believe that? You took pity on Erika?" Adrian questioned her. He knew about how Felicia had always wanted to downgrade Erika and of course, there was no way he was going to believe that Felicia would take pity on her.

"I felt touched when she pleaded," she continued to lie through her teeth. Despite knowing that Adrian didn’t believe that part of her words, she didn’t care. "So I’m going to fulfill her wish and make sure to never break Ethan’s heart," she grinned from ear to ear.

Adrian stared at Felicia for a few seconds before he spoke, "Get ready! We will be going to the hospital soon."

Immediately, Felicia sprang up from her seat and dashed back inside her room. "I need to get properly dressed for this day," she said to herself.

"Where’s Erika? She’s taking too much time already. Don’t tell me that she has already changed her mind on something?" Felicia barked with force as she stood beside the car that they would be departing with.

Neither Mary nor Juliet replied to her since they’d been beefing with her for so long already.

"Just look at her and act like the happiest woman in the world," Juliet whispered to her mother.

"Of course, she’s the happiest woman on earth. She’s happy because she will be getting plastic surgery soon and finally get rid of that ugly face of hers," Mary said out loud for Felicia to hear and the latter wasn’t pleased at all. "Hopefully, she won’t scare Jake anymore when she carries him in her arms," Mary added.

Instantly, Felicia’s blood boiled with her. Her face flushed with embarrassment and the urge to murder the mother-and-daughter duo.

"You both had better watch your mouths if you know what’s good for you," she bellowed, whilst she clenched her fists tightly, resisting the urge to hit both of them. That’s if she can do that. Remembering that she was meant to be happy, Felicia released a big puff of air and calmed down her nerves. "Today is a happy day so why should I let people like you ruin it for me? It’s not worth it," she added.

Angered, Juliet was about to pounce on Felicia again but was held back by her mother.

"Just let her be! You shouldn’t waste your time on a lowly life like her," said Mary. She glared at Felicia from head to toe and continued, "Let’s save our strength for the day she will fail and we will laugh at her."

Giggling together, the mother and daughter duo walked and left Felicia alone to ponder about Mary’s words.

Suddenly, she doesn’t feel assured anymore about her plans to go get plastic surgery. Scary thoughts of Ethan strangling her close to death after he finds out that she wasn’t Erika frightened her to the core. "I’m not even sure if he has amnesia or not. What if he doesn’t? That only means that everything will go to waste. I won’t be able to win his heart and then I will go back to prison without getting my revenge on Erika," she thought out loud as her eyes grew wide at the realization.

Sighting Adrian pulling Erika out of the house, her mouth turned bitter.

"Adrian!" She called him. "Are you sure that Ethan Anderson has amnesia? What if this plan fails? I’m going to be in so much trouble if that happens and you will be the one to blame for it. I will go to prison and you will also go to prison and Erika will be back together with the man of my dreams. I don’t want that to happen, Adrain!" She continued to blab uncontrollably until she was out of breath.

Adrian first glanced at Erika to study her expression and when she only pulled up a plain one, as if unbothered by all the blabbing , he felt at ease. To him, it meant she didn’t have any problem with it and had come to accept the fact that she was never going to be together with Adrain again.

Looking at Felicia who held a worried look under the scarf that she’d been wearing, Adrian sighed before he replied,

"The man that I sent to keep a watch on Ethan reported to me that he didn’t recognize some of his family members while some, his memories with them are vague and he can’t remember things clearly."

"But that doesn’t guarantee that he won’t figure things out as soon as possible," Felicia continued to blab around. Her hands had suddenly turned sweaty and so had her forehead.

"Are you changing your mind already? Ethan is not going to recognize you because I’m taking you to the best plastic surgeon in the city. If you don’t want to do this anymore, then it’s okay. Just get ready to go back to jail," he threatened her. He was starting to hear her complain about the same thing on and on. It was starting to make his ears bleed. 𝓯𝙧𝓮𝓮𝒘𝓮𝙗𝙣𝒐𝒗𝒆𝓵.𝓬𝓸𝒎

Felicia had always had confidence about what she was going to get herself into but this sudden change of attitude confused him.

"It’s okay," Felicia said. "I’m going to do this and I will make sure that Ethan doesn’t find out about it. I really shouldn’t be paranoid about this since I’m also excited about it. I will do it Adrain, let’s go," she added. Stretching her hands to the handle of the car door, she opened the door, got inside the car, and banged the door closed.

"Let’s get you inside the car as well," said Adrian, intending to lift Erika but she immediately declined.

"I will have Iza help me sit in the car." She immediately called for Iza and with the help of the maid, she got inside the car and sat down comfortably, while Adrian stood like a lost monkey.

The engines of the car were started and they drove out of the hideout that was hidden deep inside the bushes.

Glaring at Felicia’s head that leaned on the headrest of the car seat, Erika thought to herself, "The only way Ethan won’t be able to differentiate the both of us is only if he’s blind."
