Chapter 116: ANGER
The women glared at the old woman while the officers felt pity for Felicia but they were there to do their job.
"Are you sure about that? If we all file a case against your daughter now that she is pregnant, she will go to jail", a woman warned Mrs. Evans and the elder couldn’t help but think about it.
The officers tried to calm everyone down before the one with the most authority among them spoke.
"We are here to arrest only one woman".
"What? You can’t just arrest only one woman officer, all of them are crazy people", Mrs. Evans protested as she pointed at the women who instantly became angry after being called crazy.
The other officers tried to control them immediately.
Without answering Mrs Evans, the officer stared at Felicia who was still held by one of the women. That would leave an ugly scar, the officer thought to himself as he studied her face.
"Mrs. Felicia Hart, you are under arrest for the attempted rape of Erika Walters", the officer declared and signaled for one of the other officers to come over and cuff her.
"W...what? A...attempted rape?" Mrs Evans stuttered and she glanced at Felicia who looked so weak.
"Officer, what is happening?" Mr. Evan questioned the officer who made the declaration. "Who filed the case?"
"It is Erika Walters", the officer simply replied.
The other women who had scarred Felicia smiled in satisfaction. Even though they didn’t have the heart to send her to jail while she was pregnant, they were glad that someone else did it. Not only have they ruined her face but now she was also going to jail for wanting to have someone raped.
"That bitch!! She is lying. My daughter didn’t have her kidnapped, she is just jealous of my daughter", Mrs. Evans nearly yelled.
"The goons that she had sent to complete the task have been caught and they have already confessed to their crimes", the police officer replied and signaled to his colleagues to take Felicia away. He could sense hatred in Mrs. Evans’s words and he didn’t want to be part of any of it.
"But my daughter needs treatment. She needs to go to the hospital", Mrs Evans cried out.
"I will make sure that she is treated", the officer assured her and was about to leave but he was stopped.
"Wait", Mrs. Evans stopped him. "I want to file a case of physical abuse on these women here".
The officer nodded and dragged the women along with him. A physical abuse case was not that big of a deal. They could post bail whenever they wanted and be free. Without thinking too much about it, the women followed the officers and left the living room.
Immediately everyone left, Mrs Evans broke out in even more tears. Mr Evans went to her side to try to console her.
Not so long ago she was sitting down on the couch, petting her daughter, and all of a sudden, angry women bashed her into their house and abused her.
Mrs Evans stared at the pool of blood that had formed on the ground. Her daughter’s face had been ruined and there was nothing that they could do about it.
Mrs Evans wanted to go to Erika and pull her brains out but then Erika was not the same Erika she used to be before. Although the both of them rarely met, she has heard that Erika is currently powerful and could send her to jail if she dares approach her.
"Let’s go and see Felicia, let’s be sure that she is well treated before she is put behind bars", said Mrs. Evans, and Mr. Evans nodded.
Reaching the police station, the Evans couple immediately sighted Felicia whose face was already bandaged up.
Mrs Evans quickly ran to Felicia, "Dear, how have you been?"
Felicia, whose heart was filled with so much anger and hatred glared hard at her mother which made the old woman step back a little.
Mr Evans stepped forward and reprimanded Felicia sternly, "What is wrong with you? This wouldn’t have happened if you didn’t bring yourself into trouble".
"Please Dad, this is not the time for you to scold me. Instead, use that energy and time to think of a way to get me out of here", Felicia demanded harshly.
Shaking his head, Mr Evans replied firmly,
"No, I will leave you here so that you can think about what you did because you clearly haven’t learnt your lessons yet".
Hearing his words, Mrs Evans stared at him in shock.
"What are you saying? You are not going to help your daughter? She is pregnant’’ she reminded her husband as tears rolled down from her eyes. She had been crying non stop since evening and her eyes had painfully turned red.
"She has committed so many crimes. Forget about her sending goons to rape Erika, she has slept with so many rich women’s husbands. We are just lucky that none of them had charged a case against her else she would have a hard time getting out from there," Mr Evans frustratingly said. He wasn’t a powerful man anymore so he couldn’t manipulate the authorities.
"But we can still help her right?" Mrs Evans tried to persuade Mr. Evan but the man stood firm in his words.
"No problem, I don’t need your help anyway," Felicia rudely said to her father. "I will get out of here without your help".
"Felicia, don’t be stupid", her mother scolded her.
"You see who you want me to help. She has not learned her lesson yet. Staying here for a few weeks should help straighten up her attitude", Mr Evans said sternly and moved to sit down on one of the waiting chairs.
One of the officers went to them.
"Hey, it is time to take you to your cell", the officer spoke.
"No, please can I have more minutes with my daughter?" Mrs Evans requested.
"No, mam", the police officer refused her request and dragged Felicia who was still seated on the bench like she hadn’t heard what the officer had just said.
Mrs Evans followed the officer until he locked her in her cell. Both Felicia and her mother recognized someone from the cell, someone who they had not expected to see at all.
It was Mary Hart.
