Chapter 373: Chapter 370: Beyond Words
As soon as they entered the elevator, Lydia Brooks clung to Lucas Hughes like a snake.
Her whole body was soft and boneless, making him want to squeeze her hard.
"I missed you too, you little minx, after all these years you’re still as naughty as before!"
Lucas Hughes was instantly aflame.
The blood flowed rapidly through his whole body, as if ignited by a blazing fire.
The light reflected in the elevator, casting mottled shadows, Lydia Brooks’ hair stuck to her temples because of the warm sweat.
She held Lucas Hughes with her legs and wrapped her hands around his neck, resting against his chest, her neck arched with an enchanting curve, stirring an irresistible urge to tear her apart.
Needless to say, Lucas Hughes could no longer contain himself.
"Mm! Lucas, I really love you, love you so much, miss you, miss you terribly. You don’t know, these years abroad, I often dream of moments when we’re tangled together."
Lydia Brooks hummed instinctively, and soon the elevator door opened, speaking of the floor, there were still people waiting at the elevator door.
The two hastily released each other and went to the room.
In the room, Lucas Hughes opened the door with a card, and as Lydia Brooks entered, she saw the bed covered in rose petals and flowing red silk.
The dim warm lights and burning candles made her eyes instantly moist.
"Lucas, I always knew you still love me. Honestly, at the beginning when you said Chloe Simpson seduced you, I didn’t really believe it, but now I truly do believe it."
"Even after all these years, you haven’t forgotten that my favorite roses are red, nor my love for warm yellow candlelight. I’ve never told you why."
"Because my mom passed away when I was young, and although my dad wasn’t together with anyone, he kept finding one woman after another outside. The only person who treated me well at home was my uncle in the hospital, who was also the major shareholder of Ansun Hospital."
"Unfortunately, I was immature back then and didn’t appreciate you, and I disregarded my uncle’s kindness. My uncle had already arranged everything, but my dad insisted on forcing me to marry a man of equal social status. I was truly helpless and could only run away."
"Later, my dad cut off all my credit cards and all my pocket money. During those days abroad, life was really, really terrible for me. So when you called, I didn’t dare to answer."
"Outwardly, it seemed like I was doing well, with a good background and upbringing, but inside I felt very insecure. My dad resented me from the day I was born because I wasn’t a son."
"He fought with my mom every day, questioning why she didn’t give him a son, whom the company could be passed to. That’s why he kept seeking women outside for a son, leading my mom to develop schizophrenia and eventually commit suicide."
"So, the insecurity ingrained in me has been there since childhood, especially abroad, I have never been so embarrassed before. When I saw your calls, I really didn’t have the courage to pick up."
"I thought as such an excellent young PhD in medicine, you being the most outstanding at school, even without a prominent family or background, you wouldn’t choose a woman like me, right?"
"But now I realize how terribly wrong I was. You’ve always loved me deeply. Lucas, no matter what happens this time, I will never let go of your hand. Let’s stay together forever, okay?"
Lydia Brooks was already in tears by the time she finished speaking.
Honestly, even if Lucas Hughes were a scoundrel, he would still be touched upon hearing these words, but he felt a bit lustful in his heart.
Men are inherently creatures driven by their primal urges.
Under the influence of their genes, there is an instinctual drive within them to propagate.
At many times, it’s this drive that leads them to engage in passionate mating.
Lucas Hughes, someone already inclined toward lustful thoughts, naturally exhibited this more prominently.
"Alright, Lydia, rest assured, from today onward no one can separate us. Come on, stop crying, your makeup is crying off. Besides, seeing you cry kills me with sadness. Here, I’ve prepared other gifts for you, I promise they’re your favorite."
