Chapter 359: Chapter 357: Where To?

Selene Wilson picked up her phone and sent a WeChat message: [Do everything you can to stop Chloe Simpson from leaving.]

[Okay, Miss.]

After receiving the reply, Selene put down her phone and went to bed.

The next day, 9:00 in the morning.

Chloe Simpson and Emily Sterling finished breakfast and packed everything up.

"Mom, our high-speed train is at 2 p.m. today. Let’s leave these things here, and we’ll just pack, seal the boxes, and cover them."

"Don’t worry about the others. The house on the other end is already rented. We can just take our bags over there. Just need to bring some daily essentials with us."

Chloe looked at the time on the high-speed train ticket and spoke up.

"Okay, what do you want for lunch? Should we eat at home or outside?" Emily nodded.

"Don’t bother yourself, Mom. It’s our last meal here. Let’s just eat out and then head straight to the train station." Chloe lifted her suitcase and pushed it to the door.

"Alright, I’ll just take one last look to see if there’s anything we forgot to pack." Emily glanced back at the home she had lived in for over 20 years, feeling a bit reluctant to leave.

Just as Emily walked into the room, the doorbell rang.

Chloe opened the door to see Harry King standing there: "Harry, why are you here?"

"Are you ready to leave? Have you packed everything?" Harry didn’t answer her question and directly asked.

Chloe glanced back at the furniture covered with white cloth, nodding: "Yes, it’s not been pleasant staying here, and the job search hasn’t been successful, so Mom and I decided to move to another city."

"Moving to another city sounds good. Where are you going?" Harry replied absentmindedly, asking where they were headed.

In fact, he already knew Chloe had booked the train ticket before he came.

He just couldn’t let Chloe know.

"Harry, I’m really grateful you helped me that night, but I really don’t want any more entanglement with anyone here. So..."

Chloe didn’t want to tell Harry.

"I understand. After all, Lucas and I... Well, no matter where you go, I wish you a safe journey and a peaceful, joyful future!"

Seeing that Chloe didn’t want to talk, Harry didn’t ask further questions.

Moreover, whether Chloe told him or not wasn’t that important.

After all, regardless of where Chloe went, he was going to send someone to follow.

Otherwise, he had no way to explain.

After exchanging a few more pleasantries, Harry left.

Chloe politely saw him out, and just as Harry left, her phone rang. It was a call from Ansun Hospital.

Having worked at Ansun Hospital for so many years, Chloe was extremely familiar with their calls.

Seeing the call, she instinctively frowned.

Why would the hospital be calling at this time?

She hesitated for a moment but eventually answered the call: "Hello."

"Hello? Is this Nurse Simpson? This is HR from Ansun Hospital. We just wanted to ask if you’ve found a job recently. If not, could you come back to work?"

"Something major happened in the emergency room yesterday. Many nurses quit suddenly, and we are urgently short-staffed. Could you come back?"

"Something happened in the emergency room?" Chloe really hadn’t expected that.

"Yes, check the trending topics if you don’t believe me."

Chloe switched screens and took a look.

Sure enough, Ansun Hospital made the news, and the trending topics were filled with reports about the emergency department. Several patients got infected, and many were either injured or had died.
