Chapter 1167: Chapter 641: Wishes Come True, Stupid Girl (Double Chapter)
Chen Yi didn’t even look at the headless corpse on the ground, he carried the head, still wide-eyed and full of disbelief, and walked away slowly.
The cold wind blew past, causing the head to sway slightly, intertwining eerily with the scene of Wa Village’s wooden poles in the distance.
The bonfire crackled, reflecting off Chen Yi’s cold face and the headless corpse on the snow, steaming with heat.
Mila Gray, Xigu, and the Naxi Tribe elder who had just finished praying were all frozen in place, unprepared for the sight before them.
The bloody head was stuck at the top of a tree branch, which Chen Yi raised high and planted firmly in the snow. The head faced the few people, frozen in the terror and confusion of its last moments, like a cruel flag.
Chen Yi pointed casually at Mila Gray and asked in Barbarian Language, "Are you interested in this woman?"
Jia Bale’s head floated in the wind, bleeding, but he didn’t answer, seeming to acquiesce.
"It’s alright, I’ll let her keep you company later."
Before the words finished spilling out,
"Roar!"
Mila Gray’s eyes instantly turned blood-red, as Chen Yi’s casual words ignited a fuse of fury.
She let out a roar that didn’t sound human, as the curved blade at her waist unsheathed with a clang, and a layer of eerie blue sheen covered its surface. She charged straight at Chen Yi, aiming the blade precisely at his throat.
She intended to decapitate this demon with one strike, as a tribute to Jia Bale.
Almost simultaneously with Mila Gray’s furious attack, Xigu moved as well. Unlike Mila Gray’s head-on assault, he crouched low and stepped sideways silently, using Mila Gray’s terrifying charge to distract attention, slipping unnoticed to Chen Yi’s side.
At some point, a short dagger with a dark green glow appeared in his hand, striking at Chen Yi’s Life Gate in the lower back with the precision and lethality of a viper.
Meanwhile, the Naxi Tribe elder’s muddled eyes flashed with brilliance. He didn’t charge directly at Chen Yi, instead stomping heavily on the ground, causing the hard frozen earth to undulate like a wave.
His withered hands formed a complex, ancient seal, mumbling incantations, the obscure syllables vibrating the air with strange rhythm, as a pressure as heavy as a mountain suddenly descended, attempting to bind Chen Yi firmly where he stood.
In the face of this lethal joint attack from the three, Chen Yi’s expression didn’t change in the slightest, and his gaze didn’t even waver.
Just as Mila Gray’s blade was about to touch the skin of his throat, and Xigu’s poisonous dagger was only three inches from his lower back,
Chen Yi’s figure blurred peculiarly.
Mila Gray’s seemingly certain strike abruptly missed, and the tremendous momentum sent her stumbling forward, with Xigu also missing his target.
"Watch out!" the Naxi Tribe elder exclaimed in alarm.
Chen Yi’s figure, like a specter, appeared suddenly beside Mila Gray, within arm’s reach. He could see her pupils shrink in shock.
No sword was drawn, no flashy technique displayed.
Chen Yi simply raised his right hand casually, forming his fingers into a sword’s edge.
A barely perceptible cold glint flashed at his fingertips.
Pff!
A soft sound, like a hot knife slicing through solid butter.
Chen Yi gently touched Mila Gray’s temple.
Time seemed to freeze for an instant.
Mila Gray’s forward-charging body froze abruptly, her blood-red eyes drained of anger, murderous intent, and shock in a few short breaths, becoming hollow.
The curved blade clattered to the ground, and soon after, a very slender line of blood slowly seeped from the spot on her temple where she had been touched.
Her body wobbled, then collapsed limply in the snow like a broken sack, her eyes still wide open but devoid of any vitality.
"Mila Gray!"
Xigu’s eyes nearly burst, his body erupting with intense black aura, like an evil spirit soaked in ink, instinctively lunging again at Chen Yi with the poisoned dagger.
The Naxi Tribe elder’s face also changed drastically. Mila Gray’s sudden death made him realize something, and his eyes shone brilliantly.
He held nothing back, his chanting voice suddenly rising, sharp and piercing. His hands changed the seal again, wind and snow whirling and stirring.
He spun around sharply, shooting away amid the wind and snow.
The consecutive deaths of Jia Bale and Mila Gray made him understand that the person before them was far beyond what they could contend, staying would only mean a certain death.
Facing Xigu’s onslaught, Chen Yi’s eyes narrowed slightly, his right hand making a grasping motion in the void.
Sword Qi burst forth.
An arc of light sliced with precision into Xigu’s surging black aura.
Like a red-hot iron plunged into cold water, the dense black aura was instantly torn apart and purified.
Xigu’s forward pouncing figure seemed struck by lightning, uttering a muffled groan as an overwhelming force slammed him backwards, blood gushing from his mouth. The poisoned dagger flew from his grasp, embedding itself in the distant snow. The black aura on his body receded like tide, revealing a pale, terrified face as he fell heavily to the ground, struggling in vain to rise.
The wind and snow continued to howl, the bonfire crackling, everything occurring in the span of a few breaths.
Xigu struggled to get up, coughing blood relentlessly, staining the surrounding whiteness with red.
His vision blurred and spun, yet he still stared fixedly in that direction,
The dim firelight flickered, casting a bloody outline, Xigu could no longer see the person’s features clearly, only knowing that he was shivering uncontrollably.
Footsteps crunched on the snow, making soft creaking sounds, as the wind and snow seemed to intensify, carrying a smell of blood and biting cold, cutting the skin like a blade.
