Chapter 386: Chapter 385: The Door Opened

Under the terrifying suction, Spiritual Power was rapidly drawn out and converted into a significant amount of experience that flooded into his body. The experience was considerable, but overall, it was still too little. Unless he activated Madness Mode, this amount of experience was simply not on the same level as what he needed to level up now.

Of course, Yi Tianyun wasn’t doing it for the experience. He simply wanted to draw out its Spiritual Power. This was the only way to deal with the Undying Body—drastically weakening its Spiritual Power would make it more fragile.

However, he didn’t absorb for long before the Primordial Cyan Dragon’s figure dissipated into motes of light, only to resolidify at the side a moment later. It was no different than before, without a single injury on its body. The Undying Body was simply unfair; it could recover instantly, completely unharmed.

In their state, as long as there was enough Spiritual Power here, they could recover instantly. Unless the great formation here was destroyed, it was practically impossible for them to die. They could be blown apart and simply reform. If being defeated meant they couldn’t reform, then this trial would be effectively ruined, and future Trial Takers would have no opponent to speak of.

"Congratulations, you have successfully passed the trial." The Primordial Cyan Dragon’s eyes were filled with shock. "I never expected your power to be so immense, a cut above my own. The two Cultivators who passed before didn’t overwhelm me like you did. They all used clever tricks to pass, but you suppressed me with pure strength. The gap between us is immense."

Hearing that he had passed, Yi Tianyun broke into a smile. ’Thank goodness I passed. If I had to keep fighting, who knows how long it would’ve taken.’ The situation here was unique. With his current strength, he couldn’t easily destroy the great formation. If he had to completely kill the Primordial Cyan Dragon to pass, the difficulty would have been far too high.

"Have I passed already? I thought I’d have to keep fighting," Yi Tianyun said with a laugh.

"The moment you could defeat me, you had already passed. Although I have an Undying Body, I also have my own judgment. Those last few moves of yours were enough to kill me. If I didn’t have an Undying Body, I would have been dead long ago," the Primordial Cyan Dragon said, chuckling.

What it said was true. With such a violent beatdown, even a real cyan dragon would have been smashed to a pulp before him.

"Senior, why is this place different? There are four doors in total, but only this one has no stated difficulty. This door is also smaller than the other three," Yi Tianyun asked in confusion.

"I am sorry, but I cannot answer that. It is not within the scope of my duties. My only duty is to administer the trial; I cannot answer anything else." The Primordial Cyan Dragon stepped to the side. Immediately, a stone slab path appeared in the boundless space ahead, leading to a Light Gate directly in front of him. "You have now passed the assessment. You may leave and claim the glory that is rightfully yours."

Yi Tianyun had anticipated that the Primordial Cyan Dragon wouldn’t be able to answer his question. ’Some can answer because they are given more memories, but this Primordial Cyan Dragon has fewer memories and no capacity to learn.’

’Therefore, they can’t grow stronger; they will forever remain in this state. Memories can be accumulated, but if they aren’t given them, they will never know, and thus be unable to answer any questions.’

Yi Tianyun nodded and didn’t press the matter. There was no point in asking further.

He then lifted his foot and started walking forward toward the exit. ’I wonder what this so-called glory will be.’

On the other side of the gate, some people had already successfully passed through.

"Whew, I finally made it out. Even the Earth Level trial was that hard... I can’t imagine how difficult Heaven Level is, let alone the trial behind the unknown door," Xu Fei gasped, several deep wounds on his body. He looked like he had been through a gruesome battle.

But at least he had passed and hadn’t died inside. He had just come out and hadn’t been resting for long when a figure emerged from the Heaven Level gate. It was Hua Xiyin, her face looking extremely pale and drained of color.

She didn’t seem to have any external injuries, but she had either suffered internal damage or was severely depleted. Her complexion was far worse than before.

Her speed was quite impressive. She had passed the Heaven Level trial faster than Wang Menglong, who had entered first, and was certainly faster than Xu Fei. Xu Fei had exhausted himself just to get through the Earth Level trial, but she had passed the Heaven Level, which was immensely more difficult.

"As expected of a super genius. Her speed is just too fast..." Xu Fei sat down in meditation to recover.

Nearby, Hua Xiyin also sat down to meditate and recover. Anyone who passed the trials here had to meditate to recover, which showed just how draining they were.

A moment later, Wang Menglong burst out, covered in wounds and looking even more ghastly. Blood dripped down his legs to the floor, leaving a bloody footprint with nearly every step, but at least he had made it out.

When he saw Hua Xiyin meditating up ahead, he was stunned. He had entered before her, yet he never expected she would finish a good deal faster than him. This was a huge loss of face. Moreover, he was covered in injuries and looked utterly miserable.

Wang Menglong said nothing, moving to the side to sit and recover. No one would laugh at him. Anyone who could pass the Heaven Level trial was already a victor. Who would dare mock him?

While he was recovering, more people emerged one after another, having passed the Earth and Human Level trials. Others, however, would never be coming out.

"Miss, Yuan..." The female Guard beside Hua Xiyin bit her lip, her eyes turning red.

Her companion hadn’t come out after so long. There was only one possibility: she had died inside. This could be judged by the time that had passed. Most people who passed emerged within a certain timeframe. To not have come out after all this time—when even their own injuries were almost fully healed—could only mean one thing: she was dead.

"Sigh... with her strength, she should have been able to pass. She must have been careless..." Hua Xiyin let out a deep sigh.

Such things were not uncommon. To challenge the trials here, one had to be prepared for death. Once you entered, you either passed or you died; there was no other choice. Despite this cruelty, many people still came to the Coiling Dragon Cave, all to obtain more Treasures and improve their cultivation.

Wanting to grow stronger without taking risks was impossible.

When many of them had recovered and were preparing to move on, Xu Fei simply remained seated in front of the unknown gate, waiting for Yi Tianyun to appear.

"Idiot. He’s never coming out. Even the Heaven Level trial was that hard. That one is impossible to pass!" Wang Menglong sneered.

Having experienced the trials for themselves, they now knew just how terrifying the difficulty was, and they wouldn’t dare touch that final door.

Xu Fei didn’t say a word. He just sat there in silence, his eyes fixed on the door. He had said he would wait, and so he would wait.

"An idiot will be an idiot. Fine, wait here until you die. We’re leaving," Wang Menglong sneered, preparing to depart.

Hua Xiyin shook her head, feeling not a shred of pity. ’If you court death, you can’t blame anyone else. This is the price of foolish pride.’

Just as they were all about to leave, the smallest door suddenly let out a CREAK and was pushed open!
