"Th-this is the O-Overlord Stele..."
The Spirit Race Ancestor was utterly stunned when he saw the stele, his eyes filled with disbelief. "Weren’t the ones we obtained the Overlord Steles?"

"That wasn’t the Overlord Stele. This one in my possession is the real Overlord Stele!" Yi Tianyun said in a deep voice. "Moreover, there is something very important I need to tell you, Ancestor, and all the elders. Please, Ancestor, elders, and the Saintess, come inside with me!"
Yi Tianyun’s expression was grave. Clearly, the matter was not simple.
"Can we go in too? We aren’t candidates for Spirit King..."
Elder Yan and the others frowned. It wasn’t that they didn’t want to enter, but the rules were the rules and could not be broken.
"Now that I have this Overlord Stele, I’ve already qualified to become the Spirit King. If I let you in, that should be allowed, right?" Yi Tianyun said grimly.
"Let’s go in with him. He must have discovered a problem to ask us to go in and see for ourselves." The Spirit Race Ancestor didn’t say much more. He was also curious about the whole situation, especially regarding this Overlord Stele.
They looked at each other, but since the Ancestor had spoken, they had nothing more to say.
"The rest of you wait here. We’re going inside for a bit." The Ancestor signaled for the others to stay put. The situation was not yet clear, so they would have to wait for an announcement upon their return.
Yi Tianyun nodded and led them inside. As they entered one by one, they were all struck by a blast of frigid wind. Ye Qingxuan shivered from the cold as well, but Yi Tianyun, who was standing beside her, released a surge of power that enveloped her, shielding her completely from the invasive chill.
"Thank you," Ye Qingxuan said softly.
"You’re welcome." Yi Tianyun continued to lead them forward. Off to the side, Thundercloud saw the Ancestor and opened his mouth to say something, but they had already walked past, not even bothering to spare him a glance.
As they were about to reach the boundary, the Ancestor at his side warned, "Be careful in a moment. You’re about to fall into the trial!"
"Ancestor, don’t worry about that. Just leave it to me."
Yi Tianyun flung out the Overlord Stele. It descended from the sky and pressed down heavily. With a THUD, the heavy stele landed, and rings of light radiated outward. Instantly, the scene before them transformed into a long, narrow passageway—the path to the very end.
"Th-this..." The Ancestor was stunned. Even though he was a Divine Rune Grandmaster, he couldn’t have dispelled the illusion so easily.
If he were truly tasked with dispelling this Maze Array, it wouldn’t be too difficult for him. He was a decent Divine Rune Grandmaster, and while he might not compare to his predecessors, breaking a grand illusion array that had existed for years was still well within his capabilities. The problem was that it served as a trial. To break it would be an act of great sacrilege.

"I do." Ye Qingxuan took out a Divine Rune Stone and gave it to him.
