Chapter 530: Chapter 292: Demon Lord’s Core (3)
When Fang Zhen walked into the temporary combat command post, all eyes immediately fell upon him.
Their gazes held a mixture of admiration, worship, caution, and awe. Though no one spoke, Fang Zhen could clearly feel the intangible, reverent respect in the air.
Fang Zhen gave a slight nod, and the others immediately responded with respectful expressions and gestures.
Fang Zhen knew his status and authority among them had grown considerably.
After all, he had previously only provided some supplies.
But the revered status he now held was earned through sheer martial prowess.
Osetis was among them. His gaze now held the respect one gives to a senior who has traveled much further down the path.
"Alright, we won this battle," Duke Phil said. "And I think we’re all clear on how we won. It was all thanks to Yak—or rather, Fang Zhen."
"I won’t waste any more words. I’ve spoken with Fang Zhen before, and I’m not afraid to share the details with all of you. I will establish a department in this world dedicated to spreading the fame and reputation of our hero, Fang Zhen."
"At the same time, let’s not grow complacent. We may have killed Malganis, but the passage to Hell is not yet fully sealed."
"We might need to organize an expeditionary force, perhaps even venture into Hell itself, to completely seal the path to the Minghui Kingdom from their side."
"But there’s no rush for now," Duke Phil said. "This victory has bought us some breathing room."
Hearing this, everyone present nodded in agreement.
’This instance is only on Difficult difficulty,’ Fang Zhen knew. ’There are still Nightmare and Hell levels to come.’
’He guessed the Hell-difficulty instance would probably require a counter-invasion into Hell to completely destroy the spatiotemporal passage to the Minghui Kingdom.’
Fang Zhen then spoke up. "I’ll bring some special metals to this world. They might be able to increase the power of your Divine Rune Warriors."
"Excellent," said Phil. "As we agreed, I will teach you all of the highest-tier Divine Rune Secret Techniques we possess and provide you with our crafted weapons and equipment."
"Duke," a noble couldn’t help but interject, "doesn’t this go against the Kingdom’s long-standing policy of keeping High-tier Divine Patterns secret?"
Phil glanced at the noble.
Under Phil’s gaze, the noble’s eyes darted about evasively, and he ultimately couldn’t meet his stare.
Phil said, "Look at the situation we’re in. Is this really the time to be concerned about secrecy?"
"If we hold back from those who can help us at a time like this, the Minghui Kingdom won’t exist in a few years. What secrets would be left to protect then?"
After hearing Phil’s words, no one else voiced any objections.
The noble who had just spoken fell into deep thought and bowed his head.
"Then it’s settled," Duke Phil declared.
...
The next three days were spent cleaning up the battlefield.
As promised, Duke Phil handed over all of the army’s Divine Rune Alchemy techniques to Fang Zhen.
The secret techniques, which were never taught to outsiders, were recorded within an orange-yellow crystal that could be activated with Spiritual Power.
’Once I bring this back to the real world,’ Fang Zhen thought, ’I can use the Instance Life Game to learn it. It might even unlock higher-level crafting permissions.’
Over the past two days, Fang Zhen had brought over several more types of metal, not in large quantities, but in small amounts.
It was roughly a few dozen pounds of tin and aluminum.
He asked Duke Phil to test the metals to determine which were most suitable for Divine Rune Etching.
After taking care of these matters, Fang Zhen received the rest of his spoils of war.
Upon dissecting Malganis’s remains, the Warriors discovered that he, too, had left behind a Demon Core.
Fang Zhen had no idea how to use it.
’But he had a feeling the Demon Core’s nature didn’t align with his own path and abilities.’
’Still, it’s a high-level item. I’ll take it back and have it appraised to figure out how to use it.’
And so, Fang Zhen and Duke Phil agreed that he would bring more metals on his next visit to their world.
With all that taken care of, Fang Zhen returned to the real world.
He passed through the Light Gate.
After a moment of disorientation, he found himself back on the B2 level of his villa.
Fang Zhen removed his armor and equipment, entered the computer room, and checked the information from his latest instance run.
Fireworks and golden light flashed on the screen.
