Chapter 1974: Chapter 1970: Protecting Tang Ming

For a time, assassins and mercenaries from all over the world converged on York City, all coming for the ten billion dollar bounty.

Rui Li was the first to know about this news, but since the bounty was aimed at the whole world and not issued within the assassin organization she and Tang Ming belonged to, she didn’t know who issued such a terrifying bounty.

On an endless golf course on the outskirts of York City, a burly, bearded middle-aged man was swinging a club: "That Black Spirit really doesn’t settle down. I thought he had retired to enjoy a peaceful life upon returning home, but I never expected him to stir up a ten billion dollar bounty this time, even I’m tempted."

"If you’re tempted, why not send someone to kill him then?"

Wearing a black leather jacket and sunglasses, Rui Li sat on a chair, sipping red wine with a nonchalant pout.

"Are you kidding! Black Spirit is my best assassin, and you’re second only to him. Even if I mobilized the entire organization, we wouldn’t stand a chance against you two teaming up."

James, having finished his shot, gave Rui Li an annoyed glance: "Our organization can guarantee not to target Black Spirit, but others definitely won’t hold back."

"Yes! According to intelligence, several international assassin organizations and mercenary legions have all been stirred up. It won’t be long before York City is engulfed in smoke."

Rui Li nodded, looking at James: "I came to you this time to discuss a strategy."

"Demoness, I know what you’re going to say, but I can’t agree with you."

James put down his club and sat beside Rui Li: "I’m a businessman, I only care about profit, but Black Spirit is my friend, so all I can do this time is ensure I don’t send anyone to join the action. There’s no way I’ll help you deal with those who want to kill Black Spirit."

"You..."

"Don’t look at me like that, I don’t have the strength to go against the world’s terrorists."

James shrugged helplessly.

"Alright! Do you know who issued the bounty?"

Rui Li frowned slightly, understanding James’s predicament.

"That really can’t be found out."

James took out a cigar, lighting it while shaking his head: "The person who issued the bounty is interesting. Their condition is to exchange Tang Ming’s head for the bounty, seemingly prepared for a direct transaction without any third-party involvement."

"That complicates things a bit. Otherwise, I could directly get rid of the bounty issuer, and once the person paying is dead, the bounty would naturally be canceled."

Rui Li frowned in frustration.

"Ha ha, actually, there’s no need to be in such a rush."

James exhaled a puff of smoke, chuckling playfully: "A ten billion dollar bounty, it seems Black Spirit is in danger, but in reality, he should be the safest right now."

"Are you talking about Saint Yale University?"

Rui Li looked at James uncertainly.

"Yes! Speaking of the place with the strictest security in M Country right now, other than the Pentagon, it’s probably Saint Yale University. We infiltrated before, and Mountain Wolf ended up losing an eye. Agencies like the Dragon Group, Shankou Group, and many other national agents all came back empty-handed from Saint Yale University, showing how terrifying that place is."

James nodded, sighing strangely: "Black Spirit is now hiding at Saint Yale University, and he’s also a leading teacher from Imperial University. Those people won’t let him get hurt."

"That makes sense."

Rui Li’s eyes lit up, she hadn’t considered the official conditions of M Country before. Now it seems that even if assassins from all over the world swarm in, it might still be difficult to harm Tang Ming hiding in Saint Yale University, instead causing more trouble for M Country’s officials.

"Demoness! I’m not worried about external assassins at all. He’s the one I’m most worried about right now."

James took another puff of his cigarette, squinting as he looked at Rui Li.

"Left hand smokes, right hand kills."

Rui Li’s face changed drastically.

"Exactly! As long as Black Spirit stays at Saint Yale University, external assassins and mercenaries can’t do anything to him. But the problem now is that Left Hand is right there at Saint Yale University, and if he wants the ten billion, then Black Spirit is in danger."

James nodded solemnly: "The world’s number one assassin targeting Black Spirit, who is now exposed, isn’t a difficult task at all."

"Damn, I need to warn him to be careful right away."

Rui Li hurriedly took out her phone to call Tang Ming and explain the situation.

"Give him my regards and tell him I hope he and Left Hand have a good fight. Black Spirit becoming the world’s number one assassin would let me bask in the glory."

James chuckled mischievously.

Tang Ming was asleep in the faculty apartment when he received Rui Li’s call.

After accompanying the students on a tour of Yale University, a group of students went to exchange studies arranged by Yale University, make new friends, and get familiar with their new environment, while several leading teachers had their own work and desires. Only Tang Ming was left with nothing much to do.

Tang Ming went abroad as a representative from the Medical College, but his specialty was Traditional Chinese Medicine, a discipline not offered at Saint Yale University.

The other teachers went to interact with scholars in their respective fields, while he became a free person and decided to nap and adjust to the time difference.

"A ten billion dollar bounty to kill me?"

After ending the conversation with Rui Li, Tang Ming touched his neck and grinned strangely, "I never imagined my head would be worth so much, ten billion US Dollars! I almost want to take my own head off."

After learning the news, Tang Ming no longer slept, freshened up, and left the dorm, beginning to roam around the campus.

Since someone wanted to kill him, he must provide them with a good opportunity to make a move.

Tang Ming didn’t care about others, but he was very curious to see if Left Hand would appear. If he could defeat him, he would become the world’s number one assassin overseas, achieving a perfect conclusion.

Tang Ming strolled leisurely around the campus, observing countless foreigners with blond hair and blue eyes, feeling quite pleased.

From the afternoon until evening, Tang Ming didn’t encounter anyone trying to kill him, which left him quite disappointed. Finally, he found a place to indulge in a big meal before returning to his dorm to sleep again.

Tang Ming lived comfortably, but the M Country Security Bureau responsible for Saint Yale University’s security was having a terrible headache.

"What on earth is going on? How could someone put up a ten billion dollar bounty on Tang Ming’s head?"

Henry roared furiously from the monitoring room.

This afternoon, they had already repelled many terrorists attempting to infiltrate Saint Yale University, secretly intercepting and arresting more than a dozen individuals.

"Captain, we don’t know what’s going on either. It should be one of Tang Ming’s rivals who posted the exorbitant bounty, aiming to kill him."

Hei Gelun looked at Henry with a crestfallen expression: "That bastard is leisurely wandering around campus, but it’s been torturous for us! Three of our brothers have already fallen in the line of duty."
