I told them about me and Claire
“…”
“Hah…”
I thought Mr. Euto was looking down because he was repenting. But it seemed like he was gritting his teeth to prevent himself from smiling.
“Um…Ms. Lugretta?”
“What is it, Lady Claire?”
“Well…since we did not talk about it yet, it’s possible that you don’t know… But, uh, Mr. Takumi and I… Uh, have you not noticed that we are…uh…courting…?”
“YOU ARE WHAT!?”
“WHAAAT!? Huh!? Not fair!”
Both were terribly surprised by this. But I didn’t know what Mr. Euto meant by ‘not fair’…
“!”
“Wah!?”

Tilura and Liza, who had been eating and not listening, were also surprised by the outburst.
“Your Excellency, what do you mean by that…?”
Ms. Lugretta was just as puzzled as me.
“Uh, I just felt…”
Apparently, there was no real reason, and he just blurted it.
Besides, he had Ms. Lugretta. Also…uh, I think there had been a wife too.
“I thought there wouldn’t be any developments for quite a while! No, I did notice that there was something different between you two compared to last time… But this is so sudden!”
“Uh…”
“It happened a few days ago. I thought we should make things clear before going to Range Village.”
As Claire was a little overwhelmed by his reaction, I answered for her.
“Mr. Takumi fulfilled his promise with our master.”
“Sebastian. What promise with my father?”
“…Takumi. Maybe you better explain yourself.”
Ah, they were going to start prying…
“Mr. Takumi, I would like to hear this too. Especially about how it started!”
“Ms. Lugretta too… Well, I guess I have no reason to hide…”
While it was a little embarrassing, it wasn’t a secret.

A lot of the servants and guards had even watched during the confession.
It would be better for me to explain, rather than have someone else spread an exaggerated version of the story.
“How exciting!”
Said Mr. Euto. He really seemed to be enjoying this.
And so Sebastian explained to the others about the conversation with Mr. Ekenhart, and I told them the rest.
Thankfully, Liza and Tilura were only interested in their food, and were not listening to the conversation at all…
—
“Ah, Ms. Helena. Excuse me, but can I have some sausages for Leo?”
“For Leo? Of course… Umm…”
After getting away from the embarrassing breakfast, I went out to find Ms. Helena.
I had to reward Leo for getting rid of Mr. Euto last night.
The sausages made for Leo were extra large in size, but tasted the same as regular sausages.
“How many do you need?”
“Indeed…two please.”
“Certainly. Just wait one moment.”
Ms. Helena looked into a wooden box and took out the giant sausages.
She put them on a skewer and then cooked them lightly over a fire.

“I’m sorry to bother you right after breakfast…”
“Not at all. Besides, you helped us too, Mr. Takumi. Besides, this is not hard work. Here you go.”
“Thank you.”
I took the sausages and thanked her.
However, I also noticed that she was rubbing her hands together near the fire.
“Are your hands cold?”
“No…it’s just that my palms are a little dry…”
“Is it because you deal with water a lot?”
“Indeed… It happens a lot with us cooks. Especially when we are outside.”
“I see. May I look at them?”
“Yes.”
She nodded and showed me her hands.
