Chapter 486: Chapter 10: Demon Palace Treasure Hunt, Part 2

As the incantation rang out, eerie Demon Talismans lit up on all the Powerful White Bone Demons, their skeletal bodies trembling violently.

The Moon Demon King’s heart leaped in alarm. It was clear the Tribulation Sea Old Demon was determined to fight him to the death. ’Has the old man gone mad after losing the Xuyu Coral?’

Although he held the advantage of terrain, he couldn’t be so arrogant as to simply sit back and watch the Tribulation Sea Old Demon unleash his techniques.

"Tribulation Sea, you slaughtered my followers without reason. Today, you’ll pay for it with your life!"

After the Moon Demon King spoke, the Taiyin Demon Qi on his body erupted, and he transformed directly into a Demon Moon, clearly unleashing his own true life-or-death technique.

"ROAR!"

All of the Tribulation Sea Old Demon’s remaining Powerful White Bone Demons suddenly exploded, coalescing in mid-air into a single, ninety-foot-tall, colossal White Bone Divine Demon.

The two sides collided like celestial thunder striking earthly fire, instantly beginning their Magical Combat.

The Demon Moon radiated boundless brilliance as the White Bone Divine Demon’s Demon Flames surged. As the two sides deployed their Array Formations, the battle immediately sent the Demon Realm into chaos. The seas boiled like a cauldron, and the earth and mountains quaked.

The Demon Palace shook violently. The Jade Disc holding the remains of the Starfall True Demon tilted, and the remains on it scattered across the floor.

The two Moon Demons in charge of guarding the remains were distracted by the great battle in the Demon Realm. Only when the remains clattered and rolled all over the floor did they react, picking them up piece by piece and placing them back onto the Jade Disc.

As one of the Moon Demons picked up a piece of the remains, it suddenly cried out in pain and threw the piece to the ground.

"What’s wrong?"

The other Moon Demon asked after placing the rest of the remains back on the Jade Disc and turning around.

"This piece is incredibly hot!"

The Moon Demon said, holding out its burned hand.

"We Moon Demons are protected by Taiyin Demon Qi. We can even grab Spiritual Fire with our bare hands and extinguish it. Yet here you are, screaming your head off because you got burned by a stupid rock. You’re a disgrace to all Moon Demons."

The other Moon Demon sneered. It bent down to pick up the fragment, but before its hand could even touch it, it recoiled from the intense heat.

It was only thanks to the Demon Palace’s Water Repelling Restriction keeping the seawater at bay that the water itself wasn’t boiled by the fragment’s scorching heat.

"These remains are just a piece of a Starfall True Demon’s corpse. How could it undergo such a strange transformation?"

The two Moon Demons circled the stone cautiously. One of them even formed a Spell with its hands, sending out waves of Taiyin Demon Qi in an attempt to lower the stone’s high temperature.

But unexpectedly, as soon as the Taiyin Demon Qi touched the fragment, it turned to nothing and vanished completely.

"This stone is bizarre! Go get the other Moon Demons in the palace, quickly!"

Even as slow-witted as these two Moon Demons were, they could now tell something was deeply wrong with the stone.

The Moon Demon had just spoken those words when the stone on the ground suddenly flew into the air and shot straight for its face.

The Moon Demon hurriedly drew its Demon Soldier Long Spear, gripped it with both hands, and thrust it at the stone.

The incomparably sharp spear tip collided with the stone, immediately sending sparks flying.

The Moon Demon holding the spear felt as if its thrust had struck a mountain. The tough shaft of the spear bent like a snake, and its hands went numb, almost losing their grip. The demon itself was forced back more than ten steps before it could stop its retreat.

Dripping with sweat, it looked at the stone and shouted:

"What in the world are you?!"

The stone spun in the air, suddenly letting out a bloodcurdling scream as a plume of black qi in the shape of a skull flew out of it.

The next moment, a cloud of mist arose, and the stone transformed into a Cultivator completely cloaked in a black robe.

"I was planning to sneak away after getting rid of the Celestial Demon Mark. It must be fate that I was shaken off the Jade Disc and you discovered the anomaly."

Yang Jing said, his voice feigned and hoarse.

He was extremely cautious. Even though there were only two Moon Demons here, he would not reveal his true face.

That Celestial Demon Mark was truly troublesome. The Demonic Qi within it was manageable, as it was countered by his True Martial Demon-Vanquishing Divine Techniques. The most difficult part was the trace of Tribulation Sea Old Demon’s Divine Thought inside the mark.

Even if he dispelled the Demonic Qi, this sliver of Divine Thought could absorb Essence Qi and convert it back into Demonic Qi.

He had been circulating his Celestial True Gang at full power to grind away this wisp of Divine Thought, which naturally made the stone fetus he had transformed into scorching hot.

With Yang Jing’s current mastery of the Fetal Transformation Divine Techniques, he could only transform into living things, not inanimate objects. However, a Starfall True Demon’s fetal egg kept its Essence Qi completely internalized within its stone-like shell. As long as it remained unhatched, it was almost identical to a common Starfall Stone.

This was knowledge that one would absolutely not know unless they were extremely familiar with Starfall True Demons.

This was how Yang Jing had managed to deceive the eyes of both the Tribulation Sea Old Demon and the Moon Demon King.

The two Moon Demons glanced at each other. One turned and fled, while the other fearlessly raised its spear and charged forward.

This Moon Demon’s Power was considered mid-tier among Great Celestial Demons, and being inside the Demon Palace granted it the aid of the ambient Taiyin Demon Qi. The Taiyin Demon Qi on the tip of its Long Spear condensed into a piercing Taiyin Sharpness that radiated a keen aura.

Yang Jing extended a hand, on which a Five-Colored Divine Light faintly flashed, as he empowered it with the Innate Five Elements Grand Capture.

With a single grab, he caught the spearhead.

The incomparably sharp Taiyin Sharpness was crushed with a single squeeze from Yang Jing, and even the sharp spearhead itself was squeezed out of shape.

The Moon Demon had imagined countless ways Yang Jing might counter its spear thrust, but it had never expected that its all-out attack would be caught bare-handed by its opponent.

Yang Jing yanked the Long Spear, dragging the Moon Demon in front of him, and then grabbed its head with his other hand.

Azure-gold Lock Chains materialized, suppressing all the Demonic Qi in the Moon Demon’s body.

If he were facing another opponent at the Golden Core Realm, it would have taken Yang Jing considerable effort to deal with them. But against a Celestial Demon, with the suppressive power of his Divine Techniques and Cultivation Technique, it was almost effortless.

Casually tossing the sealed Moon Demon into his Inner World, Yang Jing sped up and caught up to the other Moon Demon.

The fleeing Moon Demon sensed Yang Jing catching up, and its heart pounded with terror. The one that stayed behind to cover the retreat was even more powerful than it, yet it had been captured in the span of a few breaths. The realization left it so horrified it didn’t even have the courage to look back.

It used all its strength to flare its Taiyin Demon Qi, trying to alert the other Celestial Demons in the Demon Palace, but a hand clamped down on the back of its neck.

With that one press, the Moon Demon’s Taiyin Demon Qi instantly stagnated, impossible to command.

It could only watch in despair as it was bound by the azure-gold Lock Chains. Then, its vision went black, and it found itself in an unfamiliar place.

After capturing both Moon Demons, Yang Jing took the Demon-Catching Tripod out from his Inner World and had the Wanhua Child use the Nine Illusion Mirage Demon Qi to conceal his form.

The Taiyin Demon Qi here was too dense. Using Cloud Escape to hide his form would be far less effective, whereas the Nine Illusion Mirage Demon Qi’s utility was greatly increased.

Now that Yang Jing had removed the Celestial Demon Mark from his body, he naturally wanted to escape the Demon Palace directly.

However, this Demon Palace served as the Moon Demon King’s personal abode and covered a vast area. The palace walls were made of a unique material and layered with all sorts of Restrictions; even Yang Jing’s Grotto Dark Dharma Eye could not easily penetrate them. His Divine Sense was also heavily suppressed, limited to a radius of only one hundred and twenty feet.

There must be some kind of Array Formation set up in this Demon Palace. Yang Jing searched in circles for a while but ended up getting lost instead.

He could only sneak through the palace chambers while trying to find someone to interrogate about the palace’s exit. At the same time, he had his disciples in the Inner World interrogate the two captured Moon Demons.

But because of the great battle outside, all the Moon Demons in the Demon Palace had their attention fixed on the Moon Demon King. All the Celestial Demons in the palace had formed a Demon Array and gone to assist their king.

Throughout the entire Demon Palace, only a few Great Celestial Demons remained, guarding key locations.

Yang Jing wandered through the empty Demon Palace for a while but couldn’t find a single Moon Demon. He had no choice but to activate his Bright Qi Talent and use his sense of smell. Finally, he caught the scent of a Moon Demon’s aura.

Overjoyed, he immediately followed the aura, heading in the Moon Demon’s direction.

A moment later, Yang Jing spotted a Moon Demon, a full thirty feet tall, standing guard before a secret door.
