Chapter 679: Chapter 679
"Girl, there’s no need to comfort me. I know what I’m feeling!" Summer Shawcross had just finished speaking when Noah Drexler’s voice came through.
She turned her head and saw the bitter smile on his face.
Seeing the old man in such a self-destructive state, Summer couldn’t help but feel a bit of sympathy.
She stood there, pondering for a while before she couldn’t help but ask Noah.
"What if I can find evidence that she loves you?" She didn’t know where her confidence came from, but her sixth sense told her... that Noah’s mother had feelings for him even if it might have faded later on. She must have loved him at some point!
After hearing her words, Noah’s smile seemed as if he had just heard a joke.
However, he was at a loss for words, unsure of how to respond to her.
"If I can prove that Mrs. Drexler has feelings for you, consider the debt for saving me repaid!" Summer bit her lip and continued.
Looking at her earnest expression, Noah couldn’t bring himself to refuse her.
"Alright." Two seconds later, he suddenly agreed.
Seeing his agreement, Summer smiled.
"Just you wait, I will find evidence..."
Even if it’s just a trace.
Watching her confident demeanor, Noah was momentarily dazed, lost in thought.
He stared at Summer for a long time before he couldn’t help but speak up, expressing his thoughts.
"Girl, do you know, you really resemble Amber..."
Two people from different ages and eras, with different personalities and actions, resembling each other to such an extent, truly surprised him.
Initially, he couldn’t quite pinpoint where they were alike, but everything about her just reminded him of Amber. The way she wore a white dress, her busy figure in the kitchen.
The rolling of her eyes, the disdainful look when she thought he was beneath her....
Even now, her confident manner was so much like Amber back then.
Hearing his words, Summer showed a surprised expression, instinctively touching her cheek, then looking at the photo on the tombstone.
She couldn’t find any physical resemblance between herself and Noah’s mother.
She took a deep breath, couldn’t help but ask Noah.
"Are you sure?"
Could it be that his old eyes were failing him?
Faced with her doubt, Noah didn’t say much, just smiled and slowly turned around in front of the tombstone.
When he saw the figure appearing behind her, his aged face slowly became serious again.
"You should go find the evidence. I do hope you can find it." Noah said to Summer.
Although to him, her words just now seemed like a joke.
But...in his heart, he secretly hoped, that she could really find something, to prove that his years of love hadn’t gone unrequited.
Even if it was a bit too wishful thinking...
Upon hearing Noah’s words, Summer’s focus shifted, so she nodded and seriously said.
"Alright, why don’t you go back with Butler Ye, and I’ll head to the courtyard to look."
Noah nodded.
As Summer turned around, just about to head to the courtyard... she bumped into a solid chest.
