Chapter 657: Chapter 657: It’s... She Doesn’t Dare Let Her Go!
Autumn Duval stood frozen for a long time before suddenly showing an unwilling expression and disdainfully said to the old Drexler.
"Old man, don’t forget, The Drexler Family is now in Noah’s hands. Your life, it’s worth nothing now!"
The old Drexler was now a titular head of the family. His closest aides had betrayed him, and the power he wielded was dwindling...
Under such circumstances, even being used held little value!
Hearing Autumn Duval’s disdainful voice, the old Drexler suddenly chuckled.
"You’ve been by my side for many years and still underestimated me."
As he finished speaking, a slight change swept across Autumn Duval’s face.
"What exactly are you trying to say?"
"The secrets I hold far exceed what you imagine. Even revealing one or two could earn you significant merit with your new master!" the old Drexler continued.
Back in his youth, he was quite the formidable figure!
The secrets he knew and the value he held for the person Autumn had allied with were much greater than she could imagine!
Sure enough... after hearing the old Drexler’s words, hesitation appeared on Autumn Duval’s face.
"Fine, you come with me later!" she suddenly said the next second.
"Let the girl go!" the old Drexler looked at Summer Shawcross, whom she was threatening, and continued.
"No way, don’t bargain with me. Now I’ve added a condition, which is to take you!"
Having the old man, she could not only get the poison formula but also more things!
Autumn Duval’s shamelessness clearly took the old Drexler by surprise.
She had been by his side for years, and while he knew about her ruthless hidden nature, he didn’t expect her to be even more loathsome than he had imagined...
He thought that perhaps this was why, even though she had a face so similar to Amber’s, he couldn’t find any trace of Amber in her!
After a while, a puzzled expression appeared on the old Drexler’s face.
"Let her go and take me; you’ll be safer. The antidote formula is with me, they won’t let me die!"
It was obvious that if she took the girl, Noah Drexler would not spare her!
But taking him, she could get what she wanted with much less risk.
Such a good deal, he didn’t expect she would actually refuse!
However, Autumn Duval didn’t listen to his advice at all and impatiently said,
"Cut the crap, if you don’t do as I say, I’ll act immediately!"
Autumn Duval’s reaction left the old Drexler a bit stunned. A few seconds later, his wrinkled face showed a hint of realization...
"Seems like your new master has quite an interest in this girl!" he suddenly joked with Autumn Duval.
He thought, perhaps Autumn Duval wasn’t unwilling to release someone, but rather... afraid to do so!
The new master she allied with seemed to want more than just the Drexler’s poison this time; his true aim appeared to be... that girl, Summer Shawcross!
Thinking about it, a worried expression suddenly appeared on the old Drexler’s face.
This daughter-in-law of his seemed to be quite something!
...
After the old Drexler finished speaking, Autumn Duval didn’t respond but rather impatiently urged,
"Old man, I don’t have time to listen to your ramblings, quickly get them to prepare the car and the people I want!"
