Chapter 436: 436 Bunker Life 19

The items obtained included [Elixir], [Penalty Removal Ticket], [Companion Entry Ticket], and [Random Devil Fruit] x2.

For food, I got [Delicious Assorted Sushi] x100.

"Oh, sushi."

Having been in China for so long, I was craving sushi, so I took it out of my inventory and started eating it with 2B and A2, also giving them some time off.

As expected of items obtained from the Leisure Life gacha, it was incredibly delicious.

2B and A2 also ate well.

"It’s delicious."

"It’s delicious."

"If you want more, just say so. I have plenty."

While sharing the sushi, I checked the remaining items.

Some interesting items were [TS Pill] x10, [Giant Penis Pill] x10, [Bust Enhancement Pill] x10, [10kg Weight Loss Pill] x10, and [Hypnosis Pill] x10.

This time, a new pill had appeared, so I took it out and examined it.

[Hypnosis Pill]

Makes the target obey like a slave for 1 hour.

After the effect ends, the target loses all memory of that time.

(Note: May not be effective on those with high drug resistance or powerful beings.)

’This is the hypnosis app in pill form. Since it needs to be ingested, it’s a downgrade.’

Also, reading the description that it "may not be effective on those with high drug resistance or powerful beings," it seemed to be something practically for use on ordinary people.

So it didn’t seem very useful.

Besides, I already had a similar ability, [Will Domination (Kilgrave)].

Then something interesting came up in the equipment: the tank ’SV-001’ from the Metal Slug universe.

The cute tank SV-001 from Metal Slug, short for Super Vehicle-001, is a tank that plays a very important role in the game.

Although it was a small, single-seat tank with a height of 216.3 cm and a length of 257.5 cm, it boasted powerful firepower that belied its small size, equipped with two 3-barreled 12.7mm Vulcan cannons and a 127mm rifled cannon.

It could also travel on water, and its powerful hydraulic pump allowed it to jump over 2 meters high.

Of course, there were drawbacks.

Thanks to its large-caliber main cannon, its firepower was strong, but the short barrel meant its range was short and accuracy was poor.

Also, the turret couldn’t rotate 360 degrees; due to the hydraulic systems on both sides, it could only traverse 60 degrees left and right, covering a total arc of 120 degrees.

Moreover, because the small hull was packed with shells and various ammunition, the interior was extremely cramped.

Though it was a single-seater, squeezing in two people was the limit.

And the biggest problem was its slow speed.

’Its top speed is only 36 km/h... modern tanks are almost all over 80 km/h... I’ll need to modify it immediately.’

After finishing the sushi with 2B and A2, I gave them a vacation, stored the original SV-001 in my inventory, and used [Matter Copy] to duplicate one for modification.

First, I replaced the engine with a hybrid diesel engine centered on an electric motor, and reinforced the battery using Warhammer technology.

I also optimized the interior space to expand the seating so two people could travel more comfortably, and improved the suspension to enhance ride quality.

Additionally, I replaced all the armor with Oramite to greatly increase defense and durability.

You might ask why I didn’t just use the ’Arc Reactor Engine’ from Marvel and went through all this trouble, but tanks like these have a certain charm when they have engine noise and the smell of oil.

While building the tank, I suddenly felt the urge to use it.

But I couldn’t just start blasting shells at my main base, Alteia (Starkiller Base).

And firing on Earth would be boring without a target.

At that moment, Devol, my secretary who was helping me build the tank, clapped her hands as if she had an idea.

"Oh, a tank battle! That sounds fun. If we make non-lethal rounds so the shells don’t hurt the crew..."

Popol agreed.

"Yeah, that sounds fun. I want to try it. Taejin-nim, is that okay?"

When Popol asked, I casually agreed.

Then suddenly, a tank battle craze erupted in Alteia, and the androids began dividing into teams and enjoying tank battles.

They even made their own rules: only use tanks developed by humanity, and since using excessively high-performance tanks would be boring, they divided the tanks into tiers and limited the number of higher-tier tanks to balance things out and add fun.

"I never imagined androids would enjoy tank battles like in ’Girls und Panzer.’"

As a result, a considerable amount of resources stored in Alteia were consumed.

Not only did the production lines manufacture tanks, but they also produced various supplies and team support vehicles, and they built large stadiums not only on Alteia but also in various locations on Earth.

They even broadcast the matches on TV, and it seemed to be establishing itself as a major sport.

It looked quite fun, but I couldn’t directly participate in the matches.

The androids revered me like a god and would be reluctant to attack me, and even if they didn’t, my reflexes were superior to theirs, so it would end up as a one-sided slaughter.

So in the end, I just watched them enjoy themselves while supplying them with resources.

Boom, boom, boom!!! Kaboom!!!

—"Ah! The Tiger tank finishes off the last remaining Leopard tank! With this, Team Tiger achieves their second consecutive victory and takes the points again!"

Woooh!!!

The androids were having so much fun driving tanks and competing that I wanted to ride one and play an active role too.

’Hmm... A world where I can ride a tank and blow everything up without consequence... I think a zombie setting would be best. I can also collect viruses.’

As I thought about going to a zombie world, I realized there was a lot to prepare.

There were various types of zombie worlds.

Some, like the Resident Evil games, were zombie settings where only a few cities were infected and thrown into chaos.

Others, like Dawn of the Dead or The Walking Dead, were settings with a full-blown zombie apocalypse.

And the characteristics of the zombies varied too.

Usually, walking zombies are common, but there are also zombie worlds with running zombies, and even ones that mutate into monsters.

I started by preparing firearms.

For ammunition, I planned to use NATO standard rounds.

They are the easiest to find and most widely used by militaries.

Examples include 9mm Parabellum pistol rounds, 5.56mm and 7.62mm rifle rounds, and 12.7mm heavy machine gun rounds.

You might ask why I don’t just use [Matter Creation] or [Matter Copy] to make them, but aside from tank shells that can’t be scavenged, I had no intention of creating anything else.

Looting is part of the fun in a zombie apocalypse.

So I planned to only bring vehicles and weapons, and source ammunition on my own as much as possible.

For a pistol, I chose the Arasaka HJKE-11 Yukimura from the Cyberpunk universe, famous for Skippy and Gengiro.

However, I removed the original smart targeting function and instead fitted it with a scope and tactical light, and modified it to use 9mm Parabellum rounds for easier ammunition supply.

The reason I chose this pistol was simple.

It uses a top-loading box magazine, like the P90 submachine gun, allowing for a high capacity of up to 36 rounds.

I figured this pistol would probably be my primary firearm in a typical zombie apocalypse situation.

For a rifle, I chose the SIG MCX.

As a modular platform, it could use not only 5.56mm and 7.62mm, but also .300 BLK subsonic rounds.

Thanks to its excellent versatility and reliability, it’s actually used by several special forces units.

For a shotgun, I prepared an Origin automatic shotgun.

Instead of a conventional tube magazine, this shotgun uses box and drum magazines, capable of holding up to 20 and 30 rounds.

It boasted firepower that could shred anything that appeared in front of it, whether monster or not.

For a machine gun, I chose a model that was easy to handle.

I selected the KAC LAMG machine gun, which comes in both 5.56mm and 7.62mm versions, but I chose the 5.56mm version for ammunition compatibility.

For a sniper rifle, I chose the WA2000, a bullpup rifle using 7.62mm rounds, and for an anti-materiel rifle, I chose a Barrett using 12.7mm rounds.

Both are semi-automatic, allowing for rapid follow-up shots.

The reason I chose the WA2000 was that despite being a sniper rifle, its bullpup design made it shorter than other sniper rifles, making it relatively easy to use inside a vehicle.

The Barrett, on the other hand, was prepared for anti-materiel sniping and long-range fire support, capable of penetrating walls and obstacles to eliminate targets.

All these firearms were made of Chitauri alloy to improve durability and accuracy.

Additionally, all firearms were fitted with high-performance suppressors from the Cyberpunk universe.

These suppressors, incorporating future technology, went beyond simply reducing muzzle report; they maximized noise suppression while also improving bullet velocity and effective range, and even reduced recoil.

Thanks to this, the firearms could secure both stealth and combat effectiveness.

’Now for vehicles...’

Vehicles for a zombie apocalypse need to meet several requirements.

First, they must be able to keep driving even after running over zombies.

Most vehicles are designed to be light with low ground clearance for fuel economy and performance, but if a zombie corpse gets caught under the vehicle, it can lift the chassis and leave the wheels spinning in the air.

So a vehicle with sufficient ground clearance is essential.

Second, they must be highly durable.

Zombies and monsters are threats, but various obstacles blocking the road are also a significant problem.

And in this kind of world, people are more dangerous than zombies.

So a sturdy chassis and bulletproof performance are practically essential.

The vehicles I chose were the Rezvani Vengeance, the Scorpion MRAP tactical vehicle, the Patria TRACK-X tracked armored vehicle, and the Korean infantry fighting vehicle, the Redback.

To explain them one by one, first, the Rezvani Vengeance is a high-end bulletproof SUV made in the USA.

It has an aggressive appearance that looks like it could appear in a movie or game, and boasts excellent bulletproof performance and a spacious interior.

It can seat up to 7 people, making it quite roomy.

Of course, the downside is that it’s unimaginably expensive.

The Scorpion MRAP tactical vehicle was designed with a focus on mine protection.

It has excellent protective capabilities, enough to protect its occupants even from a tank mine explosion, but its base engine output is somewhat lacking, leading to overheating issues.

But that can be fixed with modifications, so it’s not a major problem.

The Patria TRACK-X tracked armored vehicle and the Redback are full-fledged military armored vehicles.

The Patria TRACK-X is a tracked armored vehicle with excellent rough-terrain capability, and unlike typical vehicles, it features wide bulletproof windows, providing excellent visibility.

It also has ample interior space, allowing it to carry large amounts of supplies and equipment.

The reason I chose the Redback was also its spacious interior.

Designed for troop transport, its rear compartment is very roomy, capable of transporting several fully armed soldiers.

In a zombie apocalypse, it would be suitable not only for carrying people but also for transporting various supplies and equipment.

All these vehicles, like the SV-001, were modified with a hybrid diesel engine centered on an electric motor, and all their armor was replaced with Oramite.

The bulletproof glass was also greatly reinforced, making it difficult to even scratch without rocket-launcher-grade weaponry, and the tires used airless bulletproof tires and bulletproof tracks, so there was no worry about damage from gunfire.

Furthermore, the Patria TRACK-X tracked armored vehicle and the Redback were fitted with V-shaped scoops at the front with adjustable height, allowing them to effectively overcome or push aside obstacles.

I only added armament to the Patria TRACK-X armored vehicle.

I installed a 12.7mm remote-controlled turret on top of the hull and two quad missile launchers, securing considerable firepower.

The Redback didn’t need modifications, as it was already a sufficiently armed military armored vehicle.

Of course, I didn’t just enhance performance.

I redesigned the interior to expand space and improved the suspension to greatly enhance ride comfort and convenience during long-distance travel.

I also installed high-performance foldable solar panels on the vehicle roofs.

Thanks to this, even if fuel ran out completely, they could run on electric motors for a certain period, allowing for emergency preparedness.

And inside all vehicles except the Rezvani Vengeance, I installed a combined toilet/shower, refrigerator, water purifier, and foldable beds.

This was not only for long-distance travel, but also because it would be the most unfortunate way to die—attacked by zombies while going to the bathroom outside.

’Now the preparations are finally complete. Oh, and the androids...’

In case I needed people, I decided to bring not only 2B and A2, but also duplicate the 100 android-like robots I had made before.

Sometimes when enjoying entertainment or progressing through something, I needed more manpower than expected.

But using clones for simple tasks felt like a waste, and using shadow soldiers was too conspicuous and could make people unnecessarily wary.

So I judged that bringing androids with a reasonable level of intelligence and work capability would be far more efficient.

They could be used for everything from simple labor to security, transport, and facility management, and most importantly, they looked like ordinary humanoid machines, so they wouldn’t attract unwanted attention.

Anyway, I may have overprepared a bit, but the modified firearms and vehicles could be used as the situation demanded.
