Chapter 1096: Chapter 1096: Testing Vincent Warner’s Limits

The beaten girl relentlessly wanted to cause trouble for Stella Charlie, but Stella neither admitted fault nor apologized.

Neither of them was willing to give in.

In the end, the matter alarmed the principal, and had to call Vincent Warner and the parents of the beaten girl.

The girl’s parents originally came in a huff wanting to defend their daughter, but seeing the connection with Vincent Warner, they immediately softened and chatted congenially.

Thus, the dispute was resolved smoothly.

Vincent Warner took Stella Charlie away, without questioning or blaming.

He didn’t even expect that the always gentle and reserved Stella Charlie would fight with someone at school.

"Are you hurt?" Vincent asked with concern after getting into the car.

Stella paused while fastening her seat belt, thinking Vincent would feel she’s causing trouble and impatiently scold her.

After all, he’s usually so busy but made a special trip to the school for her today.

"No," Stella answered softly and continued fastening her seatbelt.

She didn’t say where to go, nor did she ask where to go.

Vincent took her home, and as soon as they entered, he was called away by a phone call.

Stella said nothing, watching him leave in a hurry.

She kicked off her high heels, lying motionless on the sofa.

Her black eyes stared blankly at the ceiling, gradually reddening with tears.

She waited until it was pitch black outside, and there was no sound at the door.

Finally moving, Stella slipped back on her high heels and went out again.

The bar is the stage of the night; she found an empty seat at the bar and ordered the most expensive drink.

Imitating others, she smoked, indulging herself in chatting and laughing with men approaching her.

No matter how happy she pretended to be, the emptiness inside could not be filled.

She knew this wasn’t the life she wanted, yet childishly hoped such behavior would earn Vincent’s attention.

She spent recklessly, frivolously spending money.

But evidently, what she considered luxury was insignificant to Vincent.

She played until the early morning, coming home to an empty house.

Perhaps Vincent didn’t care what she became, since he never planned to be with a woman like her anyway.

In the following days, Stella didn’t attend school, spending time with handsome men in various entertainment venues, using Vincent’s card without a second thought.

She became increasingly unruly, trying to challenge Vincent’s limits.

She wanted to use this rebellious method to gain Vincent’s attention and care.

But it seemed he genuinely didn’t want to manage her anymore.

Stella returned to her room reeking of alcohol, collapsing directly onto her bed.

She scrolled through her phone’s chat page, which hadn’t been updated for five days.

Tears fell uncontrollably.

Maybe emboldened by the alcohol, she directly called Vincent on a video call.

The call went unanswered, but Stella didn’t hang up, just stared blankly at the phone screen.

The screen suddenly switched, showing Vincent’s face.

His hair was wet, wearing a bathrobe, probably because he had just showered, hence the late response. 𝓯𝙧𝓮𝓮𝒘𝓮𝙗𝙣𝒐𝒗𝒆𝓵.𝓬𝓸𝒎

"What’s wrong?"

He asked softly.

The image on Stella’s side was dark, the phone light revealing the flush on her face, stained from alcohol, and the tears swirling in her eyes.

"Did you catch a cold?" Vincent’s voice was gentle, casually, as if he hadn’t been ignoring Stella these past days.
