Chapter 341: Chapter 341: The Wedding Invitation

The two thugs Fiona Vaughn found were trembling in fear.

Too terrifying!

They were familiar with the criminal underworld, and the aura of the mysterious man exuded a casual yet deadly intent that chilled to the bone!

The worst part was they could tell that he absolutely wasn’t joking!

Pockface and Elder Lowell had gotten involved with Fiona Vaughn’s scheme for the money, to take on the job of eliminating Katherine North. If they had known it would put their lives at risk, even a million wouldn’t have lured them!

"Woo... woo!... woo-oo!!"

Having their jaws dislocated by the blonde Anderson, the two thugs couldn’t utter complete words, but they tried desperately to make sounds through nasal cavities and throats, pleading with the mysterious man and Katherine North!

Even ants cherish life, let alone humans!

...

Katherine North felt as if she had been struck by a lightning bolt, completely stunned!

Though she’d done many unscrupulous and despicable things before, those paled in comparison to the mysterious man’s words, like child’s play!

Cut off... their heads?!

Katherine North could at most handle kicking the two into the water herself, but Mr. Knight’s demand was gruesomely cruel!

"Mr. Knight... can I... can I do it differently?"

Nervously swallowing, Katherine realized just how terrifying the man who saved her was at this moment.

Others called Adrian Law of the Law Group the King of Hell, but today she realized that at least the eldest son of the Law Family had some moral bottom line.

Yet this Mr. Knight before her seemed to be a frequent visitor of blood-lipped blades.

No wonder they said he was the lightless night.

Such figures walking the edge in darkness are far more dangerous than the powerful moguls in the legitimate world.

...

The mysterious man coldly curled his lips, that emotionless curve making Katherine’s heart pound.

But he didn’t speak, neither agreeing nor denying, forcing Katherine into more fearful imagination.

She almost pleaded.

"I hate those two scumbags too, but... sir, I’ve never killed anyone, nor do I want to stain myself with this kind of scum’s blood."

"I... I actually am Stellerton University’s campus queen, not bad looking, I’d happily offer myself for your amusement."

Katherine bit her lip, desperately pulling down the coat tossed to her by Anderson, even wanting to unbutton a few buttons on the spot to show off her exquisite figure.

This body had long been a bargaining chip, so sleeping with her savior a few times was of no concern to Katherine.

However, before she made any move, she was met with the man’s bone-chilling gaze.

No words were spoken, but Katherine’s hand froze.

— It was a cold, bloody intensity and disdain.

Katherine shivered immediately.

She finally understood that in the eyes of such a mogul, her ordinary beauty meant nothing.

Standing respectfully beside Mr. Knight, Anderson, with his blonde hair, was glaringly scornful.

"The gentleman always means what he says and never keeps the useless. Just two heads; if you’re afraid, we’ll just toss you back into the water!"

Katherine was startled by the words, instinctively seeking Mr. Knight’s help, trembling, her alluring eyes filled with pitiful desperation, trying to provoke some compassion.

However, she was let down.

The mysterious man kept his lips shut tight, wordless, evidently in agreement with Anderson.

Toss her back into the water?

Anyone who has been thrown into the river in the dead of winter knows how unbearable it feels.

Katherine would never want to endure it a second time.

But, to really commit murder, and personally sever the heads?

Shivering, Katherine picked up the expertly-made Kressland short knife.

No matter how brave, she was still just a regular college girl; looking around nervously, she noticed the surroundings were quiet, no passersby.

Perhaps they’ve been cleared out.

Just how powerful was Mr. Knight?

Katherine dared not think further.

...

A murder night under a moonless sky and chilling winds.

Winter’s chill, although not yet late, Stellerton’s eastern time zone darkened the sky quickly; dim streetlights flickered near the bridge, small snowflakes drifted down.

This was Stellerton’s first snowfall of the year.

Seeing Katherine dawdle, the mysterious man coldly furrowed his long brows, his aged, hoarse voice slowly resonated through the snowy night.

"Didn’t you want to show me how strong your hatred is?"

With profound pause, his gaze swept past Anderson’s blonde locks.

"Opportunities only come once."

Anderson nodded, immediately preparing to have Katherine recaptured and tossed into the river.

"No! Please believe me, give me a chance! Just one chance! I’ll... I’ll do it now!"

Katherine was truly afraid, taking a deep breath, she staggered towards the two thugs.

Her hands, though holding the knife, had only ever sliced citrus or pears, yet at this moment, her expression was fierce, wrist veins bulging hard.

The thugs, controlled by the mysterious man’s bodyguards, could only watch in horror, hearts clenched tight with fear.

Katherine raised the knife, then struck down.

In an instant, blood sprayed three feet.

...

Having completed Mr. Knight’s task, she wanted to vomit from the disgust, yet couldn’t retch anything out.

The last few days had been more horrifying than the previous twenty years combined.

Weakly turning her head, Katherine’s legs were too weak to stand.

"Mr, Mr. Knight, I did it..."

She took a deep breath, unprecedented hostility and hatred seeping through her brows.

"So, can you help me with my revenge? I want Cecilia Vaughn and Chloe Alden dead!"

...

Only then did Mr. Knight seem intrigued.

At the mention of Cecilia Vaughn’s name, the mysterious man’s gaze slightly deepened, fingers carelessly grazed his porcelain-white, elegant knuckles.

"At the end of this month, at the Law Family’s second son’s wedding, everyone you hate will be there."

Katherine froze for an instant, then realized his implication.

Fiona Vaughn’s wedding, of course, Cecilia Vaughn and Chloe Alden wouldn’t miss it, and weddings are chaotic, the perfect opportunity for revenge.

"But... but I don’t have an invitation!"

Katherine wanted to question more, but the mysterious man had already ceased paying attention, turning directly to the cheap black sedan.

The sedan sped off, the elegant figure seemingly never existed.

Katherine watched, stunned, while Anderson threw her a disdainful glance.

"When the time comes, sir will have someone contact you, just wait peacefully."

...

Soon, everyone dispersed.

Heavy snow blanketed all filth.
