Chapter 1260: Chapter 1255: Get Out! Never Show Up in Front of Me Again

Evander Lancaster knew that Sophia Hamilton must have misunderstood, so he smiled and said, "No, things aren’t like you think, Sophia, you’ve got it wrong."

As Evander spoke, he reached out his hand, but before he could touch Sophia’s fingers, she deftly avoided him. Her elegant eyebrows raised in anger as she shouted, "Evander Lancaster! How long do you plan on deceiving me?"

Evander...

"What did I deceive you about?"

"And you say you didn’t deceive me! First, you said your mother liked me very much, then you said we would get married, and now after getting me pregnant, you’re having an affair with your cousin behind my back! Evander Lancaster, how much longer will you continue to lie to me?"

Sophia painfully accused him, pouring out all the grievances buried deep in her heart amidst her anger. The twenty-six-year-old girl, who had no past romantic history and wasn’t experienced in relationships, had thrown herself completely into her first love. Yet, what she got in return was deception over and over again.

If Sophia accused him of deceiving her, Evander could still accept it, but he couldn’t accept Sophia thinking that he had an affair with his cousin.

Perhaps it was because of his mother that he hated and even loathed that word.

Those two words were taboo in Evander’s heart, yet now, Sophia was saying it bluntly, touching his taboo without any reservations or consideration for their relationship.

Evander’s handsome face changed from helplessness to gloom, his phoenix eyes narrowed and cold like frost.

His lips parted lightly, as he locked eyes with the angry woman, gritting his teeth and saying word by word, "Repeat what you just said."

Knowing full well that Evander was on the verge of exploding, Sophia still bravely repeated it once more, her arms drooping at her sides, her hands clenched tightly, and raising her voice to meet Evander’s cold gaze, speaking word by word.

"I said! You’re having an affair with your cousin, your Lancaster family has no dignity!"

As Sophia’s words fell, Evander’s arm raised high, and facing the impending strike, Sophia still raised her chin, confronting him.

Her unyielding gaze seemed to say, if you dare, then hit me!

Evander’s phoenix eyes tightened again and again, his eyebrows twitching involuntarily as he looked at the woman challenging him, suddenly letting out a cold laugh, muttering to himself, "I really misjudged you."

"Well, it’s not too late to see it clearly now!" Sophia retorted through gritted teeth, her eyes already brimming with tears, stubbornly raising her chin.

If Evander’s betrayal made her feel sick, then his raised hand made her heartbreak.

The man she chose, the man she wholeheartedly wanted to have children with, even if it meant not having a name, but he, instead of repenting for his mistakes, wanted to resort to violence.

The corners of her lips tugged again and again, mingling self-mockery with bitterness. Her eyes stung fiercely, yet Sophia wouldn’t allow those weak tears to fall.

Evander slowly lowered his raised hand, suddenly pointing to the door behind him, "Leave! Never appear in front of us again!"

Sophia pressed her lips and nodded, "I will!"

With those three words, she pushed past the man blocking the doorway and ran out, opening the door.

As she stepped out of the apartment door, tears uncontrollably flowed from her eyes, and raising her arm, she wiped them away haphazardly, rushing towards the elevator.
